Wegovy started week ago

First week weight in ,loss of 4 pound ,pleased with that as not found difficult
Now started second week hoping for same ,at present no side effects ,keep you updated.

@Edinburgal yeah I look to have a lot left for my last dose so I think I’ll just use it all next week too.

had my 3rd shot last night. All good. Weighed in with -2lb loss this week. I’m nearly in that next stone bracket just another week or two!! Have an event this weekend though which will be my first with alcohol so going to be very careful.

how’s everyone else with their weigh ins this week?

and if anyone manages to move up a dose with Boots let me know. They’ve accepted my request but don’t yet have stock!

Ahh, I knew it had been too easy to get my hands on a 0.25 pen - something had to trip me up!

DH is a postie in our local delivery office so he was all set to grab my parcel before heading out to start his walk but, of course, it hasn't turned up. The tracker says it's at the main city sorting office and hasn't reached the local one yet, which means it'll likely go out in an afternoon run when nobody will be home 🙃

There's no option to nominate a safe place either so I'll just have to cross my fingers that they take it back to the office and DH can grab it first thing tomorrow...

It’s so stressful trying to get hold of the medication. I had to swap from Sax due to stock issues. Hopefully our 0.5 pens will be on there shortly! If not I’m thinking another month on .25 as I’d rather not take a break.

I have changed stones this morning - my appetite is very depressed . I am assuming this is the Covid more than the Weygovy

@SofieM0 I’m down 6kgs in 3.5 weeks on 0.25 pen. Going to 0.5 injection on Friday night. I also started calorie counting 2 weeks ago so doing 1200 calories a day and finding it fine - the injection just gets rid of the cravings I find and I’m ok being slightly hungry at night after dinner whereas before that was my danger zone. Want to lose another 4kgs before Christmas but need to lose another 18kg in total (and even then I’ll be over what I ‘should’ be but am realistic!)

I took my fourth injection of 0.25 on Sunday and suddenly feel like it’s kicking in. Had half a sandwich for lunch today and feel absolutely stuffed! Normally I’d have sandwich, crisps, chocolate and still be looking around for what’s next. Need to think about what small but nutritious meals I can make, might buy myself a little lunchbox for work.

I need something to occupy me in the evenings. Even if I feel full I graze constantly when the TV is on.

@SofieM0 what supplement are you taking? I have a feeling that’s going to be an issue for me too!

@TryAgainWithFeeling I’ve been taking the Colon Cleanse tablets from Holland & Barrett. Just one every night before bed - usually they’d kick in by next morning (pre Wegovy) but it took 4 before I had any movement and think it was 5/6 days! Now back to regular but only in the PM after taking the night before. Such a fun topic!!

@SofieM0 i ordered my 0.5 from boots, they said due to a shortage of stock it could take 5 days to arrive and it came in 5 days including the weekend.

I have just had a message from Boots .. my prescription has been written please allow 5 days for order to be processed.

I'm only down 1lb this week. But still a loss.🎉. And that was including my night out out. I'm on holiday this week, so enjoying myself, but definitely eating much less than I would normally.

Week 1: -3lbs.
Week2: -1lb. Total -4lbs.

Same from Boots - just got the message this afternoon. Phew!

Have lost 9lbs on the 0.25 pen in the last
month. Finding it great so far. Had an absolute nightmare trying to get the 0.5 pen though. Chemist4u approved the order within 24 hours no problems there but have still not sent the order. Each time their customer service person keeps saying it's sent but the RM texting number says it hasn't. Don't know why they keep lying about it but it's really frustrating as can feel cravings coming back so worried about stalling weight loss and undoing all the good work. Thinking about switching to a new company but they haven't refunded it yet (sigh) Basically don't order from chemist4u if switching up to the higher doses I just don't think they have the stock but their latent being honest about it

that must be very frustrating! I’m surprised though as I’ve had a great service from Chemist4u with both my orders coming the next day in excellent iceoack packaging. I also had very useful and caring advice from the pharmacist. I saw Superdrug’s prices were much cheaper and was thinking of swapping but tbh the reliability that I’m getting from Chemist4u makes me nervous about swapping. Could it possibly be a Royal Mail issue?

@dontblameitonthesunshine1 when did you order? I ordered the 0.5 pen last week (a week early) and got it very quickly from Chemist4u, so they had it in stock last week.

After my parcel arrived at the main city mail centre at 3am yesterday, the tracker didn't move at all. I called the mail centre but no joy. DH guessed it had accidentally been sent on to the wrong delivery office and it looks like he was right, as it was scanned back into the city mail centre just after midnight.

Thankfully it made its way to my local delivery office this morning and DH signed for it, so I can take my first dose tonight.

I also managed to get my anti sickness tablets yesterday, just in case nausea is a side effect for me; as I mentioned, I'm hugely emetophobic and the possibility of feeling/being sick is making me quite anxious so I'd rather be prepared. I requested the anti sickness medication that is most often recommended by Wegovy users on Reddit but my GP phoned me to ask why I wanted that specific one. I explained and she said "okay, but that one could kill you if you take it with your ADHD medication. Would you like me to prescribe a different one?"

Erm, yeah, go on then. That's probably a good shout, Doc 😅

@amusedbush How are you feeling after your first jab? I'm scared of being sick too. Luckily I have felt absolutely fine on 0.25 but know I'll be scared each time I up my dose.

@Tailfeather I've actually just taken it an hour ago! Various things have cropped up over the past couple of days and I didn't want to be struggling with side effects while dealing with them.

For reasons I won't bore you with, I had to take today off work at short notice anyway so once I got back from this morning's impromptu 60 mile round trip, I took my first dose. I have set up camp under a heated blanket with an electrolyte drink (as recommended by the Wegovy subreddit!) and Golden Girls on the TV 😅

My 0.5 pen has arrived from boots. They approved the script on Tuesday and it was ready to pick up yesterday.

starting my higher dose on Sunday, I had a bit leftover in my .25 pen after 4 doses so I took that this morning.

I’ve not had any side effects to date, sax made me feel pretty bad the whole time so I’m much happier though I don’t feel I’m losing as much as I’d hoped. 6lbs in almost 4 weeks.

I'm still here although I've not checked in since my day 2. I've had very few side effects... a day or two of headache and feeling really tired but no nausea etc I have lost 3lbs this week without any exercise. I took my second dose today so 🤞🏽 for another good week.

Ok, found my bad food choices trigger: shitty day at work!! Have been off work for past few weeks and wegovy has done wonders in that month, but back this week and had despondent day and now just want to eat comfort food, even if not overly hungry!

And tonight am supposed to be taking my first 0.5 injection and worried about side effects. Have done so well on 0.25 injection, losing 14lbs!! That I wonder if I even need the higher dose, but its here now so should take it.

Just shitty day and want something 'nice to eat even if it blows my 1200 calories today. Help!
