Hi I just thought I would start my own thread so I can post daily!

I have recently started fasting and I am 10 days in and lost nearly 6lbs!

SW 15st 6.8
CW 15st 1

GW under 12st!

I am using a few apps to help.. Happy Scales.. I like the way this breaks it into 10 milestones so I have smaller weight goals to aim for. And Zero to track how many hours I have fasted. I have never tried fasting before but I feel like it’s using my willpower which I needed reminding that I had! MyFitnessPal i find if I don’t track my calories I forget what I’ve eaten. My goal is 1400 a day. And finally Fitbit.. I’m aiming for 10000+ steps a day.

Im a serial calorie counter! I got down to under 10st about 7 years ago and as amazing as I felt, I also felt amazing at 12st as my clothes were much more flattering on me. I had a baby last year and I’m nearly 10 months postpartum, frustratingly I actually lost weight after I had my son as I was so sick during pregnancy and then I have found breastfeeding made me super hungry and I piled weight on by constantly snacking. The breastfeeding has cut right down now and I am finding I am not as hungry and needed to kick myself into gear.

I have attached a pic of my MyFitnessPal weight log since 2015 to show how up and down I am!

Hi another loss this morning I’m 14st 8.2. I did type out replies yesterday but I kept getting distracted, I would come back to it my page would refresh and I’d lose my reply!! Already been for my morning walk as im away this weekend so wanted to get my steps in before a 5 hour car journey!

Well done on everyone’s losses to far!

Excited for my weekend away but I always feel like it ruins your progress but I suppose when you have so much to lose you can’t just expect to only lose for months! My Libra app has it predicting my goal of 12st for around the 20th Dec. It seems so far away! Thought I would post a recent graph. It’s interesting how you can see the gains and losses come at a similar time. Look how close I am to being out of the ‘obese’ category!

That graph looks great and all in the right direction well done! I was doing noom for a bit a few months ago but found it required too much attention!
had lovely dinner and drinks out last night but just went for a 9 mile run (training for a half in oct) and then immediately had a cinnamon bun which had been bought for me from a fancy cafe when i got back - never mind!
will weigh in tomorrow morning when back from hols - and try to be positive about the results !! As long as I’m not back up to my starting weight I think I’ll be ok and not have a it reaction!

I don’t know what I weigh as it doesn’t help me to do it too often. But a few days ago I read another book which spurred me on to be a bit more healthy (more for future although I do need to lose weight, but the fear of diabetes, cancer and Alzheimers is my main driver).

I am avoiding UPF as much as possible (bread daily though but just one slice) and I do enjoy a can of diet Coke. I have a longer term plan to come off that but right now it’s my daily treat.

cooking from scratch, trying to do some form of daily exercise. When the kids are back at school I’m looking forward to getting a lot more steps in. I feel like I’m just wandering around a park every so often!

Well done @Cookiedough123 on the continued loss and @Hyppogriff 9 miles! Brilliant! Hopefully that will at least mean the cinnamon bun won't derail your progress.

13st 2lbs today (-2lbs from yesterday's 'restart' weight - probably just that I ate less rather than any actual weight loss, but it's always nice to see some movement on the scales when you make an effort). I went for a v slow jog last night (week 6 of couch to 5km) and a 40 min walk this morning, so I'm putting the effort in ☺️

X-post @ScallyWaggyWoo yours sounds like a sensible approach. I'm the opposite, I have to weigh daily or it's out of sight out of mind. I'm also motivated by long term health concerns though. Cooking from scratch sounds good. Do you have any fav recipes you could share?

I find if there’s not enough of a drop or it’s gone up, it derails me. Also daily weigh ins are only telling you how hydrated you are, so for me it’s a pointless exercise. I had a nasty eating disorder years ago which was worsened by living on the scales.

I’ve had a weekend away but I’m back now! Weighed this morning at 14st 9.2 so a gain of 1lb. I’m expecting a whoosh over the next few days as I was eating really well but couldn’t say I fasted as I was drinking alcohol on an evening. Managed to skip breakfast still and had OMAD plus snacks. Also managed lots of walking (and dancing!) so got 15000+ steps each day.

Hope everyone’s weigh in goes well today and the rest of the week 🤞🤞🤞

Monday official weight in day.
12lb 7.6lb

Down from last Monday but during the week I hit 12st 7 so up a little. But at least the overall trend is going down.
Just need to keep trying.

Well done everyone 👏 14st 3lbs this morning, so 1lb off since Thurs (same lb seems to be going on and off this week!). Hoping for at least a lb this week to get my 1.5 stone 🙏

Exercise is my downfall. Does anyone know any routines that are good for blasting tummy/baby fat?

After wavering a bit this week I seem to be consistently at 13st 2lbs now. 2lb loss for the week. Whoop!

@Bumblebeebum23 I think you will get your extra lb as to lose 1 already is great!

@TeddyBeans happy birthday hope you’ve had a great time! I think if you go on YouTube and find a workout they will all help tone you up! I’ve always been told you can’t ‘target’ areas to lose fat but you can to tone up!

@doingmyutmost 2lb loss is amazing!! Keep it up!

Today I'm 12st 6.2, I seem to gain at the weekends (dinner out & take-aways) but loose during the week.

its waaaaay too hot in london. I’m down 11 pounds since 14 august when I started so I’m chuffed with that!!
lots of fun stuff planned this weekend though so anticipating a small gain over the weekend!!
