Hi I just thought I would start my own thread so I can post daily!

I have recently started fasting and I am 10 days in and lost nearly 6lbs!

SW 15st 6.8
CW 15st 1

GW under 12st!

I am using a few apps to help.. Happy Scales.. I like the way this breaks it into 10 milestones so I have smaller weight goals to aim for. And Zero to track how many hours I have fasted. I have never tried fasting before but I feel like it’s using my willpower which I needed reminding that I had! MyFitnessPal i find if I don’t track my calories I forget what I’ve eaten. My goal is 1400 a day. And finally Fitbit.. I’m aiming for 10000+ steps a day.

Im a serial calorie counter! I got down to under 10st about 7 years ago and as amazing as I felt, I also felt amazing at 12st as my clothes were much more flattering on me. I had a baby last year and I’m nearly 10 months postpartum, frustratingly I actually lost weight after I had my son as I was so sick during pregnancy and then I have found breastfeeding made me super hungry and I piled weight on by constantly snacking. The breastfeeding has cut right down now and I am finding I am not as hungry and needed to kick myself into gear.

I have attached a pic of my MyFitnessPal weight log since 2015 to show how up and down I am!

@Cookiedough123 I'm glad to hear that your holiday weight is disappearing fast 😊

I was back to 11st 13lb this morning, which I was glad about after a few days of being back in the 12s.

Yesterday, I got home and had under 3000 steps 🙄 I therefore had to fit in a 45 min walk between feeding the kids and spending 3 and half hours at college! There is no way I would have gone out if I didn't have the motivation of "needing" to do it, but I actually felt so much better afterwards and was glad I did 😌

Hello! Had a loss this morning I was 12st 4lb! So I’m lower than before my holiday which was 4.6! I’m not being very good to be fair I have had a few treats 😂 I am waiting for it to catch up with me! Still being very active so maybe that’s what’s keeping it off currently! I’m so tired don’t know if it’s due to after effects of holiday and not having a minute since I got back and also my little boy is sleeping so bad, I feel like a zombie!

@Bumblebeebum23 hope the steps are still going well! And great that you forced yourself out, like you said 99% of the time it does make you feel better! Also hope your scales keep you in the 11s!

Yep, still at it 😊🚶‍♀️.

I went for a big walk this morning (as Friday is my day off school), and it was really nice to get out in the morning sun.

Scales are still saying 11st 13 lbs, so there is no major movement, but I'm glad to be in the 11s.

Fingers crossed for a bit of drop soon x

Bad increase this morning although I’m not surprised after what I’ve ate this weekend!! I was 12 8.4 an increase of 4.4! 😂 how do I even do that! Back to my fasting today!!!

11st 12lbs this morning, which I'm pleased with. Next mini goal 11st 9lbs, which will be 4 stone lost ☺️

Morning! My blinkers have well and truly fell off this past week! I was 12st 7 this morning. Going to sort myself out now before I ruin all my progress 😂 I am terrible when I get on one. I have had a ridiculous amount of chocolate! I feel like I can’t even ration myself. I’m going to try having none at all at least for the next day or two. On the plus side I’m on day 55 of 10000+ steps.

Hope your week is going better than mine and you’re edging closer to your goal!

I was 11st 11.5lbs this morning, so going well. I think the realisation that I have less than 2 months before I go to Aus and the fear of looking like a bloater at my sister's wedding is keeping me motivated 🤣

My turn to gain!!! 🫣 Awful (but yummy!) weekend, and lesson learnt because I am up 2lb and back to 11st 13.5lb 😭

However, I have stuck to 10,000 steps a day all week, and prior to the weekend, I had mostly been sensible. Back on it today to try and move back down.

Lost the 2lbs I put on last week and back down to 11st 11.5lbs. Hoping I can continue to move down this week and creep closer to 11st 9lb and my 4st loss.

Sorry I’ve been rubbish and not posted! I am 12st 5.8 and I’ve spent the last few weeks fluctuating between a few pound! My exercise is spot on currently and I’m on streak day 70 today of 10000+ steps! My eating is not so good I think I need to book another holiday to give myself a kick up the bum! 😂 if I was eating good the pounds would be falling off currently!!

@Bumblebeebum23 well done for sticking at it! Both the steps and the weight! You’re so close! I’m only 6.4lbs away from my 50lb loss I should really try to get to that before I have my break like I’m doing now 😂

To be honest, I've been very similar this week. I'm sticking to my steps but being a little bit lax on the food front. Not awful, but not great, either. So, the same thing - losing and gaining the same lb and stuck between 11.11-11.12.

I really should be motivated because it's only a month and a bit before I fly to Australia for my sister's wedding but feeling really "meh" about the whole thing (the diet not the wedding).

0lbs lost 🙄 so I'm still sitting at 11st 11.5 lbs.

I have one month until I fly to Australia and 6 weeks until my sister's wedding, so I've got to get my head fully in the game over July!

Sharing a day early because I've just seen 11st 8lbs and 7/8ths on my scales. So just a fraction under 11st 9lbs, which means I've finally reached 4 stone lost 😁

Start weight (June 23):15st 9lbs
Current weight: (just under) 11st 9lb
Target: 10st

Well done @Bumblebeebum23 that’s fantastic! What an achievement! Couple more pounds for your holiday too! How did the step month go?

Ive kept weighing and exercising over the last few weeks but haven’t been good at all! Yesterday I realised I had to sort myself out after eating 1l of ice cream in 24 hours plus other snacks and my normal meals!!
This morning I was 12st 8. I think a bit is water weight but I need to get back to my lowest which was 12st 4. I’ve downloaded a fasting app onto my garmin as I find that always gives me a good kick. I should probably stop eating chocolate again but I just don’t think my mind’s in the right place for it yet! I would love to get under 12st 🤞🤞🤞 and finally get my 50lb lost!
On the plus I’m on day 80 of my 10000+ steps streak and have been picking up my runs to include a 10k once a week!

Thank you @Cookiedough123 and well done for continuing to track despite everything else. I think it's impossible to be perfect the entire time, but it's a great habit to continue to weigh in and monitor. I have been guilty so many times of burying my head in the sand when I know I'm off the rails. Avoiding the scales as if by some miracle it means I won't have gained weight!!

And congratulations on the steps. I completed my challenge and raised over £660 for Young Minds 😊 I have also been trying my best to continue the habit and have walked over 10,000 steps a day everyday except one (when it was torrential rain) in July too x

Been good a couple of days now and down 1lb! I’m 12st 7. Finding it harder than usual but stuck to my fasting this week (so far) and not gone crazy on the treats like I did the last few weeks! Hoping for another drop soon 🤞🤞

@Bumblebeebum23 yes I thought I best keep getting on these scales or I will be in denial about what I’ve eaten! Well done on your step challenge and glad you’re keeping it up!

I haven't had the best week food wise and now have two days of celebrations for my son's birthday (plus the England match) this weekend, so think I will have a gain Monday 😒

However, hoping to get back in the mindset next week and have a final push before we fly to Australia.

Well my next holiday is booked and I have a month to sort myself out! Haven’t really changed I was 12st 8 this morning so would really like to get to 12st! 2lb a week is doable! I did 91 days of 10000 steps and then went to a wedding spent too much time chatting and by the time I realised it was too late to get to 10000 so back to the beginning! Here’s to a new little challenge! Haven’t decided to give up chocolate yet but may have to depending on how the rest of the week goes!!

I've been completely off the rails!! 🙄🤪 and when I weighed in on Monday, I was back up to 11st 12lb (+4lbs). However, I have been back on it since Monday and am now on school holidays, so I am hoping to lose as much as I can before I fly to Aus on Thursday next week.

Nowhere near my original target of being 10 stone for my sister's wedding but a lot better than where I started and generally feeling more confident and less self-conscious which is the main thing!

I guess this thread has died but just in case, I'll update. I have just returned from 3 weeks in Australia (which was part of the reason I started my weight loss journey over a year ago!). My sister's wedding was amazing and I felt confident and (dare I say it!) beautiful in my dress.

I have managed to pretty much maintain whilst away (slight gain but nothing major) which I am pleased about. However, back on it properly from today 😊

Current weight: 11st 12lbs
Target: 10st

Hi @Accbabymom1994 👋 well done on your loss so far 😊 it looks like we have a similar start point and goal.

I have been loosely following intermittent fasting and generally trying to be more mindful of what I eat. It has been very slow and steady (with some ups and downs) but for the first time in my life, I feel like I am managing to remain consistent. I have lost weight previously but have always been too strict and then fallen off the wagon. I still have nearly two stone to lose to be in a healthy bmi, but overall, I feel so much better.

Hello I am still here! I lost my way over the summer holidays being off work but I did end up going on 3 holidays. I had a long weekend away, a midweek break and a week abroad. So I’ve been here there and everywhere.

I had kept up with some running and gym classes. Lost my step streak but got to 91 days!! Didn’t know whether to start a new thread as i always see September as a new start (teacher habit!) what do you think? I do like looking back on where I’ve been though!

i weighed this morning at 13st 2! Not gonna even work out what I’ve gained but my lowest was 12st 4 in May! That seems so long ago 😂. My goal is still 12 but ideally between 11st 7 & 12. One thing I’ve realised though is I really need to find a way to get my sweet tough in check as I’m so easy to slip up and then I just can’t stop myself in eating crap! But I keep reminding myself I started at 15st 7lb.

I am ready to go back to work and get back into a normal routine!

Glad you had an amazing holiday! There is nothing better than working hard and feeling good!
