5st to loose, 26 weeks, 1:1 diet

Hallo everyone,

Jumping on here as I have set a target to loose as much weight as possible before Christmas.

Starting stats
16st 2lbs
5ft 6
Age 39
Size 18

Due to other health issues I need a healthy BMI to qualify for a breast reduction and life insurance, both of which I'd like to have by 2024.

Target weight is 11st. Going to start on 1:1 when I'm back from working away next week so I can get my delivery, see how that goes for a couple of months.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Xx

@Willowview and @howdoesatoastermaketoast thank you for your supportive comments. I’m doing okay, existing in a rather strange limbo until such time as DP and I speak again about the situation. We don’t live together and giving each other space but all very out of the blue.
In terms of dieting and focusing on myself I have just tried to turn some of the negative energy into a positive. I have been pretty good at making the most of the gym and swim membership and my weight is slowly edging down.
Happy Friday everyone and stick with it 💪🏻

Willowview · 25/08/2023 12:41

Exercise is ace for working through feelings isn't it!!

Congratulations on your dedication to your fitness journey, in times of emotional stress it's comforting to eat in the short term, then long term goals go out the window. So empowering for you to be in control.

X

Bumblebeebum23 · 25/08/2023 12:44

Oh @Hurryupharry that sounds like a really difficult situation 😪 I'm in awe of your continued determination despite all of the uncertainty etc. Take care of yourself x

Hurryupharry · 25/08/2023 14:51

@Bumblebeebum23 thank you 💕 if anything the situation with DP has kick started a determination to be a better version of myself- not because I feel responsible for the issues ( he has very much said it’s all on him) but because I may as well use this time to lose weight and get a little fitter. We all have different reasons for wanting to lose weight and mine are now partly so I can look hot 🔥if I end up single again. But I’m also 56, on BP medication and working on my weight and fitness is needed going forward too.
@Bumblebeebum23 how are you doing? Are you on the Cambridge diet ( not sure what it’s called now) ?

Bumblebeebum23 · 25/08/2023 16:23

I'm all good, thank you, @Hurryupharry. I'm enjoying the last week of summer before going back to work. No, I've been doing 16:8 fasting and tracking on myfitnesspal. Seems to be working for me because it doesn't feel too restrictive. Nearly at a stone and a half lost, but at least another 4 stone to go! Just need to keep going

ZeroFucksGivenToday · 25/08/2023 19:39

Can I join please lovelies?!

stats are:

meeeee
5ft short
SW 15.2 1/2lb (biggest I've ever been)
CW 14.6
TW 13.00 (because I seem content at this)
Stretch TW. 12.00

Im on the 1:1 (step 1) diet, and lost 11.5lb in two weeks. But my daughters back from her holiday with her dad and now I have to cook for her again. Will be doing some step 2 meals to eat with her (luckily she loves all salad and veg!) and sticking to it.
Im already feeling less lethargic. But I'd kill
for some chippy chips!

hi everyone :)

Hurryupharry · 26/08/2023 09:10

Welcome @ZeroFucksGivenToday . Sounds like you have made a good start and know what works for you. Half the battle I think is getting your head in the right place and having an eating pattern or system that fits your style.
I have had a whoosh as they say. According to the basic weight tracker I use I have lost 4lbs this week 🥳

Currently 16st 1lb which puts me a couple of pounds ahead of my target loss of 1lb per week. Looks like gym/swim and reduced appetite is paying off.
Have a great weekend everyone and enjoy the bank holiday. I will be at work for part of it! 😬

howdoesatoastermaketoast · 26/08/2023 09:26

Hi there, @ZeroFucksGivenToday love the name btw. Well done on your weight loss so far you sound like you're making good progress towards your goals.

Under the circumstances a determination to look smoking hot seems an extremely positive and sensible direction to channel any negative emotions @Hurryupharry I'm not saying you will want a new guy, but feeling confident you could get one if you wanted to is likely to be a boost.

howdoesatoastermaketoast · 26/08/2023 10:10

I'm going to post early because I'm feeling a bit excited

starting weight 150kg
current weight 140kg
target weight 60kg

most recent milestone 142.5kg =5% weight reduction

This quarter weight loss goal 150 -> 140kg
(week 8 of 13)
actual weight loss 10kg

Next quarter goal was 130kg by xmas,
stretch target 125kg by xmas? It'd be lovely to be under 20 stone again.

140!!!

Bumblebeebum23 · 26/08/2023 10:33

@howdoesatoastermaketoast 🥳🥳🥳 well done, amazing progress!

Hurryupharry · 26/08/2023 11:23

@howdoesatoastermaketoast that is fantastic progress. You must be utterly delighted. I’m sure you will smash the next 10kg too. We’ve got this !

Willowview · 26/08/2023 15:49

Well done all!!! Over the moon for you ALL x

I'm not weighing until next week as had a part week start, still same weight too x

HippyChickMama · 28/08/2023 08:59

Weigh in for me this morning, 1lb off so 9lb in total over 3 weeks. I'm happy with that as I've eaten out twice. Will be having lunch out twice this week while I'm on annual leave but I'm just going to be sensible again and I'm also going to be doing a lot of walking compared to when I'm at work. Good luck everyone

Bumblebeebum23 · 28/08/2023 15:10

Well done @HippyChickMama, great progress 👏 I would normally weigh in today but am away from home. Will weigh in tomorrow instead x

Willowview · 28/08/2023 19:03

@Bumblebeebum23 sorry, wrong person, I meant @HippyChickMama that's cracking! Great results x

howdoesatoastermaketoast · 28/08/2023 20:25

Well done @HippyChickMama 9lb in 3 weeks is pretty good going

@Willowview you're not wrong it's gripping stuff!

& @Hurryupharry I didn't explicitly acknowledge your 4lbs so belatedly whoops to you. 💯🎉

Bumblebeebum23 · 29/08/2023 08:29

Okay so this morning I weigh 14st 3.5lbs so 1.5lbs this week.

Total loss since June: 1 stone 5.5lbs

Next mini target is to reach a stone and a half

howdoesatoastermaketoast · 29/08/2023 08:31

Nice going @Bumblebeebum23 You may have to change your name at this rate ;-D

Bumblebeebum23 · 29/08/2023 08:37

@howdoesatoastermaketoast ha ha thanks! 😂 Although I assure you there's still plenty of junk in the trunk! I hold the majority of my weight on my bum and thighs. Feeling good though 😊

HippyChickMama · 29/08/2023 10:27

Thanks all, I've got to negotiate a carvery today without over doing it. Wish me luck!

howdoesatoastermaketoast · 29/08/2023 11:02

@Bumblebeebum23 Feeling good is good! in other news I might nick still plenty of junk in the trunk as my next user name.

Hey @HippyChickMama good luck with the carvery. I'd invent some super I'd invent some super arbitary rule like [you need to eat a serving spoon of peas for every two roast potatoes] then you can't get more potatoes unless you've finished you huge spoon of peas.

Willowview · 29/08/2023 17:44

Great results soon to be stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk 🤣👌
X

HippyChickMama · 29/08/2023 18:29

I had a carvery and a mini dessert! Used all my days points up but actually don't want anything else to eat. I had gammon, Yorkshire pudding and two halves of roast potato and then filled the rest of my plate with cabbage and carrots. If I'm hungry later, I'll have some fruit as it's free on WW but I'm still really full

howdoesatoastermaketoast · 29/08/2023 18:52

sounds yummy @HippyChickMama

Iywym, we went out for a family lunch on the weekend and I used up all my calories in one meal but actually I did feel full for the rest of the day.
