@SuffolkUnicorn this is good info thank you - ok so Cambridge/1:1 and newyou would be classed as VCLD - that's good to know.
For the orlistat do you have to be a certain BMI to get it from the GP? Is xenical available to buy online? How much fat a day are you limited to on these?
Sad to hear about your mum - sadly mine is similar (not as extreme but she's more interested about me being thin than about anything else) - sympathies on that it's not easy.
I tried my first newyou shake this morning and I'm not that impressed - the Cambridge shakes (which are double the price) are much much nicer, but then again it's good not having to deal with the consultant (for me, it might work for others).
I think I'm gonna try myprotein for shakes after the newyou stuff has gone.
@howdoesatoastermaketoast awww thanks, hopefully not too fucking irritating lol. I'm still a food crazy binge eater at heart, just trying to drag myself away from that mindset as much as possible to be less mentally reliant on putting things in my mouth. It's all addiction in some form, and it's more a mental game than anything else I think. Desperately trying to get myself into healthy person style relationship with food.
Ive realised when I'm stressed, sad/pmsy, anxious, the first thing I do is eat. I need that not to be the case.
I've also realised I find eating slowly really uncomfortable, especially around people. I don't like food going cold and don't like people watching me eat.
These things combined with always needing to 'finish' whatever it is, the pizza, the biscuits etc - even if I feel uncomfortably full.
These are the root causes I think. I also gave up smoking and drinking, so this led to more food based 'treats' instead.
Can anyone relate?
My non food related treat now is tattoos. Gotta loose a stone before each one until goal weight...
