5st to loose, 26 weeks, 1:1 diet

Hallo everyone,

Jumping on here as I have set a target to loose as much weight as possible before Christmas.

Starting stats
16st 2lbs
5ft 6
Age 39
Size 18

Due to other health issues I need a healthy BMI to qualify for a breast reduction and life insurance, both of which I'd like to have by 2024.

Target weight is 11st. Going to start on 1:1 when I'm back from working away next week so I can get my delivery, see how that goes for a couple of months.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Xx

Weather awful here, too 😫 I'm off to Birmingham for the weekend tomorrow to see my family. I'm looking forward to it but a not sure it's going to be good for weight loss!

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 13/10/2023 22:01

Sawing logs sounds like great exercise

Hurryupharry · 14/10/2023 14:18

2 days of just about seeing under 100kg for the first time in well over 3 years- and even then it was only a few months that I was able to sustain it before Covid hit and lockdowns lead to weight regain!
Hope everyone is doing well- another Aston Villa fan here - how strange that we have found each other!

Bumblebeebum23 · 14/10/2023 22:18

Well done @Hurryupharry you are doing so well 😊 Up the Villa 💜🩵⚽️

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 15/10/2023 00:58

Hope you're having a good weekend everyone.

Bumblebeebum23 · 15/10/2023 08:45

Having a lovely weekend, but chinese takeaway and sticky toffee pudding at my brother's last night so may need to go on a detox today! 🤣

Willowview · 15/10/2023 11:13

Good thanks @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk managed a pushbike ride yesterday after work, and hopefully the same today, how's your weekend?

@Bumblebeebum23 your Saturday night sounds great! I still have the odd takeaway with my son's, after all it's family time!

Willowview · 15/10/2023 12:16

Congratulations @Hurryupharry , sorry I missed that earlier 💐, that's great news

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 15/10/2023 13:40

Well done @Hurryupharry that's really cool

Chinese takeaway is a delicious treat @Bumblebeebum23 family time is so important.

Bike rides are lovely @Willowview.

I'm away for a conference and I don't think I'm doing too badly but it's definitely not my normal routine.

I'm assuming I won't have lost anything Monday, but we'll see how it goes.

@BusyCaz

Hurryupharry · 15/10/2023 16:07

@Bumblebeebum23 ,@stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk ,@Willowview thank you for your support. We went out for a bottomless brunch yesterday ( although it was late afternoon!) I drank steadily and ate most of my burger and fries but no dessert later. Was too gutted by Ireland losing in the rugby 😢 walk in the beautiful sunshine today. Hope everyone is having a lovely day.

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 15/10/2023 19:28

Currently eating far too many calories on a stressful but boring disrupted train journey. We currently have no driver and I'm still hundreds of miles from home.

Willowview · 16/10/2023 07:52

Oh my goodness @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk what time did you get home? What a ballache!

Bumblebeebum23 · 16/10/2023 07:53

Sounds like everyone has had busy and/or testing weeks/weekends one way or another, but I'm so glad we are all still here and making progress overall.

So the damage for me wasn't too bad in the end. 13st 8 and 3/4lbs this morning

so 1/4lb up since Friday but 3/4lb down since last Monday’s weigh in (and stayed under 13st 9lbs so have maintained the 2 stone loss)

Back on track today. My mum is arriving on Thurs 😁. I haven't seen her in person since April, so I hope she can really see a difference.

Hope you all have good weeks xxx

Willowview · 16/10/2023 08:01

Excellent, memories made, and still on track @Bumblebeebum23 , cracking!!

Half a pound off for me. I'm winging it, as if it wasn't for the orlistat I'd be gaining!! Time to up my gain and earn next week's loss.

I did pass the Cinderella test @Willowview and make it home by midnight but this involved both splitting a taxi after a cancelled connection and getting rescued by Prince Charming in his carriage once I got to the point where I was only a dozen miles from home.

At one stage they were clearly bribing us with food to try to minimise complaints , giving us chocolate and crisps and biscuits I hadn't ordered and I don't even mind admitting I just ate it ALL!

Needless to say this is reflected in the scales this morning lol.

Well done for your loss @Willowview and @Bumblebeebum23

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 16/10/2023 09:16

@Bumblebeebum23 have a lovely time with your Mum

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 16/10/2023 09:24

Good morning my lovlies.

sw 150 kg
cw 131.0 kg
next mini goal 127.5kg
loss this week 0.1kg (around 1/4 lb)

The low point of the week was 129.9 so I'd lost 1.1kg as of Friday morning but it's all gone back on over the weekend.

Willowview · 16/10/2023 09:37

Morning cinders (aka @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk ) 🤣🤣🤣 love it, glad to hear you were rescued, hope you are having a restful day today? Glad to hear you're still on track (pun intended) but seriously, a loss is a loss!!

Non scale victory, doesn't take much to please me. I bought two larger pairs of charcoal leggings instead of thick tights. Much more comfortable, and I'm wearing them with winter boots, thick socks, GAP jersey polo neck dresses and jumpers. I would not have had enough confidence to do this if it hadn't been for my altered mindset which for the most part has been thanks to all of your support. So happy days, and thanks 😊

NSVs are super important @Willowview . It's about all the little things that remind you why it might actually be rather nice to lose weight. Personally I'm delighted to find I am NOT still on the tracks.

Cleaning the kitchen feels good compared to being stuck on a crowded train going nowhere.

Willowview · 16/10/2023 12:34

🤣🤣🤣, that's made me smile @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk thanks.

Bumblebeebum23 · 16/10/2023 19:02

Oh my goodness @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk I would definitely have cracked and had the chocolate too! Glad you're home safe now.

And lovely to hear about your NSV @Willowview. My confidence slowly rebuilding is definitely one of the best things about losing weight.

I've not posted this week as I weigh on a Sunday and I'd stayed the same. I've weighed again today though and another 2lb off, so 1st 9lbs down all together. TMI but I'm suffering from terrible constipation atm, it's always been an ongoing issue for me but it's really bad this week. I don't think I'm drinking enough water so I'm going to work on that. I'm sure it's contributed to a slower loss this week though. One downside to the weight loss is that my glasses now need adjusting, they keep sliding down my nose now my face is a bit thinner!
