5st to loose, 26 weeks, 1:1 diet

Hallo everyone,

Jumping on here as I have set a target to loose as much weight as possible before Christmas.

Starting stats
16st 2lbs
5ft 6
Age 39
Size 18

Due to other health issues I need a healthy BMI to qualify for a breast reduction and life insurance, both of which I'd like to have by 2024.

Target weight is 11st. Going to start on 1:1 when I'm back from working away next week so I can get my delivery, see how that goes for a couple of months.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Xx

so whilst I'm on track for my end of year goals I'm going to need to keep this up for some time to get there

HippyChickMama · 10/10/2023 20:07

@Hurryupharry I'm aiming for around 10.5 stone so still just under 6st to go. I've always weighed heavy, at 9st 2 a size 8 was roomy on me and I'd be happy at a size 12. Also, pre children, even at my heaviest my boobs were never above a B cup, I'm a 36G now and I reckon they weigh about a stone each so we will see

Willowview · 11/10/2023 07:08

Good morning ladies,

I'm aiming for 12st, I think, can't remember if I wrote 12 or 13, because I may feel happy at 13, I have been before. I'm 5ft 6.

I've not been doing well for 2 weeks now, so need to step it up.

Yoghurt and fruit for breakfast.

Have an on track day lovelies.

Well done, everyone. It is amazing to see how determined and dedicated everyone is despite the many life hurdles in the way. This thread is so inspirational.

My overall goal is to reach 10st and the top end of my bmi before my sister's wedding next year.

However, mini goals:

Keep walking every day

Lose 2 stone (hopefully next week!) And then onto the next half stone

Move out of the 13s (just over 9lbs to go) before Christmas.

Oh and move down to size 14 jeans by the New Year 👖

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 11/10/2023 08:55

I was just going to pop in to say as of this morning I have lost 3 stone, which feels pretty cool

Willowview · 11/10/2023 11:02

Congratulations!! 😎

Bumblebeebum23 · 11/10/2023 13:01

Wow @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk amazing achievemen! How do you feel? X

Hurryupharry · 11/10/2023 16:10

@stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk that’s fantastic. What a wonderful milestone 💪🏻🌟

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 11/10/2023 16:13

It definitely contributed to my improved mood😘I've gone through and added loads of mini goals I'm likely to meet before xmas (there are also some I may well not meet this year) so I can do a better job of keeping my spirits up - so apologies in advance if it becomes tiresome that I constantly seem to be meeting some goal or other. Some of them are only 0.5kg apart but for the lols I'll share them all now...

Mini goals:
130.9kg is 3 stone weight loss. ✅
130.0kg my original by NYE weight loss target✅
127.5kg is 15% body weight loss, (and under 20 stone.)
124kg is 4 stone loss,
120.5kg is under 19 stone.
120.0 kg is 20% body weight loss, and my new more ambitious by NYE weight loss target
118kg is 5 stone lost in 6 months (18.5 stone),
116kg is 34kg loss my current by nye very ambitious target
114.1kg is under 18 stone.
112.5kg is 25% body weight lost

Willowview · 12/10/2023 08:16

Good morning beautiful ladies 🍁

I admire your commitment @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk , it's inspired me to make time to make a realistic plan for myself, thank you.

Still treading water here, still relying on food for emotional support.

Have a good day all ✌️

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 12/10/2023 09:24

Totally relatable @Willowview

I can't do it at all unless I calorie count and keep a food diary. I find the extra hassle of now I'll have to figure out how many calories this is and get my laptop out and write it in is enough to break me out of eating something for a bad reason / mindless habit.

HippyChickMama · 12/10/2023 09:29

Well done to everyone for keeping going! I don't tend to post on this thread much, other than weekly weigh ins because life is so busy at the moment so apologies for that. I do read all of the posts and it is inspiring and motivating. My clothes suddenly feel looser today, despite the scales not having moved since Sunday but my periods are so erratic at the moment so I'm assuming that's the cause. I've been on HRT for about 4 months now and my cycle still hasn't aligned. I'm just starting my PhD as well as working full time, managing two dc and all of the life admin that goes with that, and this week dealing with a mountain of washing because my dryer decided to stop working just as the weather became wet and cold 🤦🏻‍♀️
I bought a beautiful dress in a 16 the other day though! It's quite stretchy so it fits now but I'm saving it for Christmas when it should be looser and look better on

Willowview · 12/10/2023 10:07

Blimey @HippyChickMama you must be in a whirl, fantastic news about your PhD

I get how exhausting it is to juggle. I'm a single parent to 3 sons, 2 of which have autism, work part-time as a cleaner and am also doing a degree. Kudos to you for working full time.

I've been on HRT for 2 years now due to peri menopause primary symptom being insomnia. I dread to think where I'd be without it. Just had a stand alone period so I think I'm nearly on to menopause. I was going bananas before without HRT.

Just know you're smashing it.

HippyChickMama · 12/10/2023 11:13

Thanks @Willowview. I am an academic so I think it's easier studying as well as working in my situation than yours, kudos to you working, studying and single parenting. I do have a dh to share the load but he works a really early shift during the week and spends a lot of time trying to stay awake while doing DIY as we're trying to finish house renovations with a view to selling and moving. My eldest has some additional needs and has just started A levels so I know the juggling act well. It is, in fact, my PhD topic!

Willowview · 12/10/2023 13:54

🤣🤣🤣 house renovation too! I call myself a wasp in a jam jar lol.

Hope A level and PhDs first year go well 😊

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 12/10/2023 15:33

thanks for checking in @HippyChickMama that is quite the juggling act you've got going on over there - no wonder you feel like an expert in the subject!

Good luck with the PhD. I don't know what uni you're at but at mine the PhD's got the coolest hats! A proper velvet bonnet

HippyChickMama · 12/10/2023 17:18

@stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk it's a black velvet bonnet with a burgundy tassel and the robes are burgundy and blue, dh and ds are impressed that they're Aston Villa colours. I've already decided on my outfit and am hoping that in 4 or so years, I'll be buying it in a much smaller size than I am now. I'm going to treat myself to this

Bumblebeebum23 · 12/10/2023 19:07

Wow, I am in awe of you all.

I, too, am studying, working 2 jobs, and parenting two young children so fully empathise with how hard it can be. It's no wonder our health and well-being sometimes goes out of the window! I certainly gained a lot of my weight when feeling overwhelmed and exhausted.

Also @HippyChickMama...Up the Villa! Big AVFC fans in his house too ⚽️

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 12/10/2023 19:09

Ooh I love it. That's gorgeous.

Bumblebeebum23 · 13/10/2023 07:30

Sneaky weigh in this morning...13st 8.5lbs so officially lost just over 2 stone 😁

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 13/10/2023 08:05

Woohoo that's so cool it really good when you reach a milestone 😊

Bumblebeebum23 · 13/10/2023 08:15

Thank you 😊 I do love a milestone to keep me motivated.

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 13/10/2023 09:53

Thanks for sharing I found myself in dire need of cheer this morning.

Willowview · 13/10/2023 11:09

Get innnnn!!!!!! Happy days @Bumblebeebum23 congratulations 👏👏👏

Willowview · 13/10/2023 15:15

Oh my goodness me, today's exercise is sawing logs, in the front room! 🤣🤣🤣 too soggy outside lol, I'm not houseproud I'm afraid. In my defense I have old flagstone flooring, so it's not as daft as it sounds.
