5st to loose, 26 weeks, 1:1 diet

oddwellingtonboots · 13/06/2023 22:10

Hallo everyone,

Jumping on here as I have set a target to loose as much weight as possible before Christmas.

Starting stats
16st 2lbs
5ft 6
Age 39
Size 18

Due to other health issues I need a healthy BMI to qualify for a breast reduction and life insurance, both of which I'd like to have by 2024.

Target weight is 11st. Going to start on 1:1 when I'm back from working away next week so I can get my delivery, see how that goes for a couple of months.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Xx

@Willowview glad you got your bike. I really enjoy cycling with my boys when the sun's out.

Yeah, can't wait. My mum and two younger siblings live in Melbourne, and I miss them terribly. Luckily, now Covid restrictions have been lifted, and my mum comes back fairly regularly 😊 but don't see my siblings as much. My sister is getting married next year (part of the incentive to lose weight), so it will be lovely to all be together ❤️

Willowview · 23/09/2023 15:32

@Bumblebeebum23 good to hear, glad you're looking forward to seeing her, must have been hard during COVID. What a lovely goal, to feel cracking for your family wedding x

Bumblebeebum23 · 23/09/2023 15:44

Thank you @Willowview 😊 yeah, it was tough (as it was for us all, one way or another).

Yes, that's the aim. I really don't want to be the big fat sister amongst all the tall, tanned and beautiful bridesmaids! 🤣 I gave birth 2 weeks before my brother's wedding and absolutely hate all the photos, so hoping I can have at least one wedding album where I look half decent!!

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 23/09/2023 16:06

Woo hoo on the bike. Good stuff @Willowview . Its nice to be able to look forward to your mum's visit @Bumblebeebum23 I know what you mean about being self conscious about photos where you don't think you look good.

Willowview · 23/09/2023 16:08

Yayyyyyyy!! Go for it 🤩 @Bumblebeebum23

I have been messaging a bloke for 2 years, and would love to meet him but don't have the confidence. I'm not bothered if anything comes of it, I just want to meet him. Could be next summer if I carry on like this x

Bumblebeebum23 · 23/09/2023 16:15

Here's hoping for a summer of love and confidence for us all 😊😊 xx

Willowview · 23/09/2023 16:47

I'll drink to that!! X

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 23/09/2023 17:09

Oh I have a beer in the fridge to have with my dinner so I'll totally drink to that too Wine@Willowview and @Bumblebeebum23 !

I too hope to be under 17st on (a) Monday, hopefully a Monday in the first quarter of 2024. So in the meantime I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Willowview · 23/09/2023 17:44

Perfect, kind, considerate, thoughtful, funny spojitt, we'll get there together, cheering each other on x

Bumblebeebum23 · 23/09/2023 17:52

Yeah!!! We've got this!💪😊❤️

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 23/09/2023 18:31

thanks absolutely here for cheering each other on! it makes all the difference.

DS1 leaves for Thailand tomorrow and I'm a bit freaked out. It's his last dinner with us and he didn't bother to come down for it, it's like they have no appreciation for how hard this is for their poor old mum!

Willowview · 23/09/2023 18:58

Sounds like an awesome, character building adventure! I would be worried too though, and hurt about the dinner. It seems to me that sometimes there's no space for our feelings, but surely that's to our credit, as it means we've always put our children first x

Bumblebeebum23 · 23/09/2023 20:26

Feel for you @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk. Nobody warns you that as soon as you have kids, you never get to stop worrying about them! It can be so hard.

How long is he going for? X

howdoesatoastermaketoast · 23/09/2023 23:46

gap year @Bumblebeebum23 - It's fine I am a very chill very cool mummy. And I will repeat this to myself all night until I can do a passable imitation tomorrow.

Can't drink, can't eat, what am I supposed to do when I'm nervous and anxious!!!???! Clean. I need to channel this in a healthier direction in future I think I will become one of those women who cleans when I'm nervous.

HippyChickMama · 24/09/2023 10:35

@stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk I'm already dreading ds going off to uni and he's only just started sixth form. I didn't think it would bother me but dd has just spent a week away on a school residential and ds is now so independent that I barely needed to do anything for anybody and I felt a bit lost!
Well done to everyone for keeping going, another 2lbs off for me this week despite not completely sticking to plan. I had my HRT check up on Thursday and the nurse was very pleased with me, I didn't tell her I'd had a takeaway curry on Monday though 😂
SW: 17st 12
CW: 16st 10
RT: -16lb

Bumblebeebum23 · 24/09/2023 10:39

I'm sure he'll have a great time, but completely understand why you feel anxious.

Sounds like a very sensible mindset, too. It would be so easy to return to old habits. But I'd maybe go for a nice bath or walk rather than cleaning! Self care is key 😘

Willowview · 24/09/2023 13:24

Hey @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk , how are you x

Well done @HippyChickMama ,
Am looking at takeaway curry in my mind with a golden light around it, a Somewhere over the rainbow playing in the background, like some sort of holy grail of food choices!!!

Creamy,

Buttery

Curry!!!

X

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 24/09/2023 15:11

Well done @HippyChickMama

I'm good thanks @Bumblebeebum23 I would like you all to know; I did not cry. Repeat, I did not cry. It's just a little dusty in here.

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 24/09/2023 15:13

I'm warning you guys knock it off with the talk about curry - I have a jar of butter chicken curry sauce in the cupboard and I'm not afraid to use it (with lots of very healthy quorn fillets and vegetables)

Willowview · 24/09/2023 15:59

🤣🤣🤣

My lips are sealed x

ZeroFucksGivenToday · 24/09/2023 22:51

Willowview · 25/09/2023 08:09

Cheers @Bumblebeebum23 , but I've winged it this time, and credit goes to Orlistat. Time to put the hard graft in now, and start exercising, I am going to have my first bicycle ride this afternoon.

Ongoing thanks to you all, I really appreciate the group x
