Seemed to good to be true! I will wait until they confirm, then start shopping around. Thank goodness for those 2 extra doses!

DutifulDaughterWifeMother · 08/04/2023 11:06

@SueTirza Thanks for the Juniper code, I shall use that today!

@Rosie219 Could you pls send me the link to the needles you bought from Amazon? I just want to make sure I am buying the correct ones. I also ordered my first pen from Manual but will be cancelling as it is £199 for the next month. I’m off to Juniper to order my next pen using @SueTirza code.

Has anyone stayed with Manual for the 2nd month? I took my 4th dose yesterday so am expecting a new pen soon.

I didn't cancel my subscription because I thought I will get a 50% discount off my next pen, as someone used my refer a friend code. But now I'm wondering if this will apply as it says weight loss plans are not included?

I've emailed them but haven't heard back yet so I will call them on Tuesday. Obviously if it's going to be £199 I will cancel and shop around.

In the meantime I ordered a box of needles from Amazon so will get two more weeks of 0.25 in my current pen.

I cancelled my subscription and the website immediately offered me £179 to stay.

My friend rang Manual
And manual customer services offered her £150 price to stay . I may call them Tuesday.

Rosie, on the 0.25 pen I think you get 8 x 0.25 doses. So 4 doses of 0.25 then 2 of 0.5. You must use it by 6 weeks after opening a pen.

OzempicClicker · 08/04/2023 11:42

I took my second dose of 0.25 on Thursday night and then added an extra half dose because after the first couple of days the good chatter came back. Now it's Saturday afternoon and I feel nauseous, and the food chatter has stopped. I see this as a good thing. Not very scientific I know.

Rosie219 · 08/04/2023 11:58

@DutifulDaughterWifeMother
This is what I ordered.

That's fab. Is that 150 every month or just for the next one?

Brunilde · 08/04/2023 12:37

Starting today. Pen is due in the next couple of hours.

Starting weight 12st 12
BMI 34

Already ate well today, as others said the price you're paying makes you not want to waste the opportunity.

Rosie219 · 08/04/2023 12:53

Thanks @Beenalongwinter and @caringcarer

Twilightstarbright · 08/04/2023 12:56

@LemonPledge555 an insta is a good idea! I’m going to send the pictures this weekend. Annoyingly the swimsuit ones are blurry so I need to retake them.

DutifulDaughterWifeMother · 08/04/2023 12:59

@Rosie219 Thank you for the info!

Beenalongwinter · 08/04/2023 14:37

These needles seem the same and are a better price. https://www.medino.com/product/glucorx-carepoint-4mm-32g-100-needles?utmsource=awin&utmmmedium=affiliate&utmcampaign=www.skimlinks.com&awc=2354111680960842_10c470b56b4c12bf9b0de73c9809edaf

My friend seems to think the £150 is ongoing from Manual but only with a phone call it reverts to £179 if you press cancel on the website. I will call them Tuesday and update.

Is anyone here on ADHD medication? I'm currently on 20mg of Elvanse (in the titration period so this should increase) and thinking of starting Ozempic, wondered if anyone had any experience with this? I know there's a huge crossover with binge eating, in fact it's one of the main symptoms of my ADHD.

I am, and just ordered...

southlondongal86 · 08/04/2023 22:14

Hi there.

Wonder if there's anyone here using Ozempic while navigating severe endometriosis or doing regular strenuous exercise? I'm taking progesterone supplements to manage my endo but they increase my appetite. I have relatively good habits, including going to the gym 4x a week for Crossfit which also requires me to fuel my body well. These are non-negotiable as they are crucial for my physical and mental health.... but I'm SO HUNGRY ALL THE TIME and bringing my body fat percentage down feels impossible.

I've ordered my first pen to shift some extra body fat that came on as a result of medications in recent years but am not sure how to strike a balance between eating to fuel myself adequately for training while also running a calorie deficit. I don't want to pass out in the gym.

Any experiences/advice gratefully received.

MuMuMuuuum · 08/04/2023 22:34

Hi @southlondongal86 stage 4 endo here. Had my first op in October and I'm starting week 9 of Ozempic, 12.5lbs down so far. It's been brilliant for the ravenous hunger I've experienced with endo and also what I suspect is insulin resistance. However due to the pain I was in I'm not as physical active as you so can't comment on that element.

I'd say be careful to ensure you are eating enough to fuel your workouts. Ozempic gave me a powerful appetite suppression in the first month on 0.25mg. Im on 0.5mg at the moment and experience hungry cues so less likely to under eat. It can also make you light headed as it lowers your blood sugar. Its a powerful drug so just be careful not to push too hard while your body gets used to it and you understand it's effects on you.

Best of luck, for me it's been life changing to have relief from the constant "food noise" and seeing changes each week.

Please May I tag along. I’ve just filled in the questionnaire on Juniper and placed an order so waiting for them to get back to me about suitability. I’m on a lot of medication but nothing that seems to be contraindicated in their questions . I am 5’ and 10.2 with very high bp, raised cholesterol (but GP not suggested statins ) and have very bad arthritis which I think would definitely benefit from losing some weight. I have a huge appetite and although I eat fairly healthily I eat way too much as I’m always hungry. Really hope they’ll approve me.

TimeWaitsForNoWoman · 09/04/2023 06:52

Great @Reddress2023 - I'm currently on day 3 and I have to say it's an absolute revelation. So freeing! I think the combo of ADHD meds for dopamine searching and Ozempic for hunger is a powerful one and might be incredibly impactful for lots of us ADHDers. Keep me posted with how you get on.

Thanks @Peridot1 they are happy with me taking it.

Twilightstarbright · 09/04/2023 07:09

Just did my photos for Manual which was very unpleasant but also a good reminder of why I’m doing this- I carry so much weight on my stomach and I’m not healthy.

I’m assuming it won’t get dispatched over the bank holiday weekend but hopefully I’ll have it by next weekend.

Brunilde · 09/04/2023 07:19

I took my first dose yesterday around midday. By the evening I felt a little nausea which I don't really mind as it puts me off food but I was also freezing. Has anyone else had this? Not sure if it's related or I may be getting ill as the rest of the family are but so far I had escaped it. I couldn't get warm at all and had goosebumps. Very strange as I didn't feel like I had a fever and I'm never cold in the house.

Oooiwanna · 09/04/2023 07:48

Anyone not lost anything in their first week? My first 0.25 doesn’t seem to have done anything for me. Haven’t lost any weight. Should I go up to 0.5?

No, do not go up yet. The first doses are only to introduce the drug into your system safely, not for weight loss. Some people do lose immediately, but a lot don't and you need to give it time.

Have you felt like your appetite is suppressed at all? Have you been tracking your calories?

I could have eaten like normal, I wouldn't have necessarily been hungry but didn't have any nausea or over filled sensation, I still have to be mindful of what I'm choosing to eat and stop myself. It's just easier to stop because I don't have that gnawing starved belly rumbling going on.

Mugglybuggly · 09/04/2023 09:07

I can to provide a Juniper code if you need one - just PM me x

Oooiwanna · 09/04/2023 09:10

@FatAgainItsLettuceTime I suppose earlier on this week my appetite was a little reduced but now (day 6) I just feel normal. Another injection tomorrow so maybe that will help? I’m not tracking calories yet - I was hoping not to but I think I’ll have to now I know it doesn’t work brilliantly for me at the mo x

Kidsaregrim · 09/04/2023 09:14

@Oooiwanna my first week was brilliant and then towards the end it faded but I lost weight, then the next 3 weeks it was a bit hit and miss, my 4th 0.25 injection I doubled up and I’m back to having restriction again. I think it takes time to build up and you definitely get a tolerance as your body gets used to the small amounts
