@LittleDitto - the new drug being Wegovy? It’s actually the same as Ozempic rather than being a new drug. It’s just in higher doses and is actually prescribed for weight loss as opposed to Ozempic which is only prescribed for diabetes. We are all using it off label for weight loss. It will be very interesting to see the price though.

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 07/04/2023 09:07

Everything I've read for Wegovy says April but nothing more specific than that. I'm signed up for Boots and Lloyds email alerts for when it does happen.

@LittleDitto Once I was a couple of weeks in and knew it suited me, I just requested 2 pens so I have my own stock if they're not available. I buy from Quickmeds and just explained on the form that I was happy on it and I wanted to take it for 3 months then re-evaluate and the 2 pens would take me there. They were fine with that.
The dates on the pens I have are 2025 so they're fine in the fridge. When I've finished the first of them I'll order another so I always have one in reserve. I do have a fair amount to lose though, I can see myself being on it at least until towards the end of this year though so they're not going to go to waste.

I’ve gone with Juniper, as I thought starting the programme would be useful, but the more I read here the more I reckon Quick meds is better for when you’ve got the hang of it!

Thus is my 2nd day. I feel totally fine so far, but I had granola and yoghurt for my breakfast and I feel like I’ve had a substantial fry up!! That’s really strange.

Backtoblack1 · 07/04/2023 11:13

Just ordered from my bmi website - code is starter35 if anyone needs it xx

LemonPledge555 · 07/04/2023 12:05

Thanks all. I have a bit of a plan, but I need this to get me on my way. I’m out of control and need to do something and to be healthy and active for DD, I don’t want her to grow up with a fat mummy.

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 07/04/2023 13:15

Week 1 nearly done, 2nd dose tonight and due to weigh in tomorrow morning. Bit annoyed that my period started yesterday because that always causes a weight blip but hopefully I'll still see a drop in numbers when I step on the scales in the morning.

I have found my appetite easier to control this week. Usually the first week of a diet I'm starving while my body gets used to less carbs but it's been much easier to stick to my daily target.

I'm not going mega low on calories, I'm starting at 16st 7 so have a pretty decent allowance of 1750 calories per day, not eating it all every day but have when I needed to.

DutifulDaughterWifeMother · 07/04/2023 15:16

Hi Everyone 👋🏼

So here is an update of my progress so far….

22/3/23 1st INJECTION
15 stone > 95.25kg
BMI 38.4 Obese
29/3/23 2nd INJECTION no weigh in 🤦🏻‍♀️
5/4/23 3rd INJECTION
14.5 stone > 92.08kg
BMI 37.1 Obese

I bought my first pen from Manual & just have a few questions that I am hoping someone can answer.

• So after my 4th injection next Wednesday there will still be some Ozempic left in the pen. Some posters on the other thread said they used it up & bought additional needless? How many doses of 0.25 will be left? Where do I buy the correct needles from?
• I bought my first pen from Manual but would appreciate it, if someone has a code that is cheaper than Manual

My appetite has reduced greatly and other than some nausea when I take the injection each week and the fatigue I am having to deal with on a daily basis which I’m not sure is down to the fibromyalgia is a bit of a struggle and the insomnia. However as the weight loss is going in the right direction I am going to continue.

I do find myself missing either bfast or lunch most days and only having a small dinner. I am going to start logging my food so I can see the number of calories I am eating. I have a chronic health condition and because of my lack of mobility I need to get my weight loss down to what is right for me going forward as it is affecting my joints. I just wish I could exercise!

What price did you get it for with code please @Backtoblack1 ?

Sameiam · 07/04/2023 17:20

Went for a longish run this morning which may have been a mistake as ate an entire meal deal wrap + sausage roll snack and a couple of chocolate biscuits. 😬 don’t feel any nausea etc but think it might be because I’m due to go to 0.5 soon so the 0.25 isn’t doing much.

Twilightstarbright · 07/04/2023 17:29

Just ordered with Manual. Feeling excited to get started although I expect it’ll take a few days to arrive with the BH weekend.

Backtoblack1 · 07/04/2023 18:41

Hi, it was £129.99 x

Yes same. I need to send them my torso pic and ID but not expecting it to arrive just yet!

That was for @WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa xx

Twilightstarbright · 08/04/2023 01:59

@LemonPledge555 I’m going to take the photo today. I’m on holiday at the moment so didn’t know if a swimsuit photo would work.

Do you, or anyone else starting, fancy being buddies and checking in on here?

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 08/04/2023 06:55

First week done

Started at 232lb, weighing in today at 225lb so 7lb loss.

SueTirza · 08/04/2023 07:59

Hiya, if you want try Juniper (I am on it and I’m very happy - lost a stone in 5 weeks) you can use the code FRIEND50 and mention me Suzanne Rose to verify that this is an actual referral- you will get £50 off and I will get a gift - so good for both! With Juniper you get a set of digital scales and a tape measure - you’ll pay £145 first month, then £195 per month ongoing.

TheGoodEnoughWife · 08/04/2023 08:35

Excellent @FatAgainItsLettuceTime - well done.

How are you finding it? Are you calorie counting?

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 08/04/2023 08:39

I'm finding it OK, I use MyFitnessPal to track my foods, have a reasonably high limit of 1750 calories per day so not too hard to achieve and the Ozempic is helping to just keep the hunger at bay a little. I wouldn't say it's completely removed my appetite but it has reduced it.

Lostinalibrary · 08/04/2023 08:53

1st injection last night - felt a little bit sick. A definite reduction in appetite. I could still eat but I’ve not rushed to the fridge 😂

TheGoodEnoughWife · 08/04/2023 08:54

That's good. I am only a couple of days in but am calorie counting alongside. Not sure if Ozempic is reducing my appetite yet or whether the thought of it helping has put me in a good place to stick to my cals - doesn't matter which though I think as long as the scales go down imo!

Yes! I’ve just done skinny jeans and bra. Am sure swimwear will be fine. Will DM you! Have just set up an anonymous insta. I’m working out when I should start. Depends when it arrives of course, but I’m trying to work out what day of the week would be best for me. Possibly before the weekend, but we’re going away on 19/05 for 5 nights and wanted to avoid taking with me 😂

Rosie219 · 08/04/2023 10:24

Has anyone stayed with Manual for the 2nd month? I took my 4th dose yesterday so am expecting a new pen soon.

I didn't cancel my subscription because I thought I will get a 50% discount off my next pen, as someone used my refer a friend code. But now I'm wondering if this will apply as it says weight loss plans are not included?

I've emailed them but haven't heard back yet so I will call them on Tuesday. Obviously if it's going to be £199 I will cancel and shop around.

In the meantime I ordered a box of needles from Amazon so will get two more weeks of 0.25 in my current pen.

TheGoodEnoughWife · 08/04/2023 10:26

@Rosie219 I think it will be £199.

I have also bought some extra needles. Can't be chucking extra doses away!

Lostinalibrary · 08/04/2023 10:32

I think psychologically it’s also a big financial commitment - that helps. I’ve got to sort it out. I’ve no doubt I’m insulin resistant which has led to weight gain.
