I've been thinking doing embarking on this journey for a while and have spent the last few days reading through all your threads which has helped me make the decision to start the process as all the information, tips and just positivity has been inspiring

My package from Juniper arrived this morning and the box was so much bigger than I thought. I'm planning on starting with my injections on Sunday due to work.

I'm only 5'2 but weigh 18st12 so need to lose a little bit of weight ;) however can not currently shift it with exercise and diet alone despite trying.

I've just read through previous threads and have ordered from juniper. BMI is 36.4. How long is it usually before they get back to you after ordering?

I ordered a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday morning- they got back to me later that day, I answered a few questions and sent some hideous pictures and I was approved. All delivered the following Wednesday so it’s pretty quick 😊

I ordered on Monday evening, sent pictures on Tuesday evening approved Wednesday morning and it arrived today.

Thanks @Snacksformoralsupport & @SayHelloWaveGoodbye

SkinnySally · 27/04/2023 21:47

That’s interesting - I ordered today and was approved today without being asked for pictures! I also wasn’t asked to provide GP details.

minimonkey11 · 27/04/2023 22:11

I ordered yesterday and approved with no pictures or any other information! Package on it’s way and am nervous to start it. BMI is 38. I am a bit scared

RausageSoul · 27/04/2023 22:24

That's my juniper approved me to move to 0.5 once I've done my next two 0.25. Wanting to get ahead and in place, but might get some more needles to make sure I finish my 0.25 pen!

RebelGeek76 · 27/04/2023 22:26

I ordered mine Tuesday morning and they followed up in the evening with a few questions and approved it just before 10pm, delivery came this afternoon. Pretty impressed with packaging, box was huge and one with pen was very well insulated, the ones I got from QuickMeds the ice packs were almost fully defrosted, these were solid!
Didn't get asked for photos either, wonder whether they might ask for those with lower BMIs?

I am SUCH a lurker- I have read every single post of the first 4 threads.
Thank you everyone (mostly) for the super information and support.
Coming up to jab 4 of .25 - horrible first two weeks, not so bad third week.
I am making NO apologies for being on this drug. I've struggled with insulin-resistant PCOS my whole life which got totally out of control after I had babies - it seems to spiral with pregnancy weight which you just cannot lose as the body holds on to it. I did 18 months of zero carbs (and I mean zero- tomatoes were "cheating"). Lost about 14 kilos on ZERO carbs in 18 months (5 foot 7, I was 96 kilos went to 82) but massive effect on mental health so had to stop so now just limited carbs. No sugar at all for the past 3 years (even fruit is cheating). Cut out diet Coke and all aspartame etc 2 years ago. Super active- 3 x high impact Zumba classes per week and 5k walk all the other days. I never eat breakfast and so intermittent fast every day. NOTHING HAS WORKED. I read the "diet" lists of people on this thread and think "that's more food than I'd have in two days, and I'm still 90 kilos".
I'd be happy to be on this drug for the rest of my life (I"m 45) if it works. I'm so, so tired of the PCOS and the massive struggle to lose weight and the judgmental nonsense every time I step on a scales at a doctor's surgery. I haven't had sugar since spring 2020, apart from the odd taste of someone else's gelato and a handful of chocolate peanuts on my birthdays. My gynae put me on metformin and it had no effect at all.
I cannot struggle with this any more, and I'm happy to be on semaglutide forever if it just gets the f**king scales to go down.

eloquent · 28/04/2023 01:59

So, finally decided to make the plunge.. scales have hit a number which I cannot allow to go any higher.

Anybody who has any codes, feel free to inbox me. I'll be ordering later on today.

Thank you for these threads, they've been really helpful!

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 28/04/2023 02:26

Good luck newbies! My BMI was 37+ just before Covid and 33+ when I started these jabs seven weeks ago. I am fast approaching BMI 30 now. So, so happy I'm doing this for myself. I've also been taking a good quality multivitamin/mineral religiously (Centrum Advance) and Omega 3. I honestly feel 10 years younger (I'm 50) and for the first time in years I am actually looking forward to summer.
For full disclosure (sorry for TMI): Most noticeable side effect: Constipation on and off, recently for nearly a week. Have been taking psyllium husk supplements and magnesium citrate for two weeks. In the end took 3 DulcoEase capsules yesterday, someone said they are less cramp inducing than other brands. Pleased to report it worked well.

@eloquent I've sent you a pm with a £50 code for MyJuniper.

Depends on supplier. I never had to supply photos with Mayfair weightloss clinic but some do seem to require it.

You should do - there are at least 6 shots in the 0.25 pen

It's FRIEND50 isn't it - no need for pms?

sleepingbuddha · 28/04/2023 07:03

I woke up to an approval email this morning after ordering last night with juniper. No pictures were asked for so far although it is asking for body measurements for 'check in' but I've not done that bit yet.

Lavendersquare · 28/04/2023 07:30

@Twiglets1 yes that's the code, but if you enticing your 'friend' who gave you the code the 'friend' also gets a £50 voucher. I don't want to post my details on here publicly but happy to via pm, seems a fair trade we both get £50.

Lavendersquare · 28/04/2023 07:31

That should say name your friend.

okayah · 28/04/2023 08:29

Bit the bullet this morning and ordered via Juniper

15+ stone, high BP on meds - need to do something!!

SkinnySally · 28/04/2023 08:37

Anyone have any thoughts on whether it’s best to start on a particular day? I’ve read that the half life of a dose means it typically starts to wear off towards the end of the week so I’m thinking it might be better to start on a Friday so that I always have a boost over the weekend as I find them hardest for calorie counting. Mid week I’m fine as I have the routine and busyness of work but weekends seem to easily end in overeating for me!

I find that I can most nauseous in the day or two after my jab, for that reason I wouldn't want to take it in a Friday. I find the bustle of work helps take my mind off any queasiness. What about doing it in a Tuesday or Wednesday? Y

They've stopped doing the referral bonus. So the code still works but there's no option to name the person who referred you and thus no £50 voucher for the referrer 🙄
