The 'name the friend' option was still on mine when I ordered last night. I just didn't read this thread before I ordered so didn't use it.

They've stopped doing the referral bonus. So the code still works but there's no option to name the person who referred you and thus no £50 voucher for the referrer 🙄

I had an email from them last week it was back on - £50 voucher if you refer someone etc etc. you obviously have to have an active juniper subscription to get it I think.

Sameiam · 28/04/2023 09:09

Person signing up still gets the 50 without needing to name anyone though. You have to put someone’s name in during the consultation etc for them to get the voucher.

I think you can still name someone but they don't get the referral bonus anymore. @Lavendersquare you shared yours with me earlier this week (thanks again) and I put your name in, but not sure you'll get anything.

sleepingbuddha · 28/04/2023 09:14

Rebelgeek that makes sense. I didn't read anything about referral £50. Just a space for a name and code.

RebelGeek76 · 28/04/2023 09:14

Sorry didn't see @Sameiam post before responding! Referral bonus must be available again as I'm sure other posters had said they'd stopped doing it

LemonPledge555 · 28/04/2023 09:46

@RebelGeek76 I'm sure I saw someone say a few pages back that it was “back”! Although I’m out off by the scales. Just seems wasteful.

@RausageSoul I have loads of spare needles if you want some pop me a PM, you can just ping me postage and I can post this week

RausageSoul · 28/04/2023 09:49

@LemonPledge555 thats very kind I will pm you! I agree about the scales and asked on my juniper chat with my consultant if these could be excluded as not needed and felt wasteful. She’s left me on read 😂

Jooopy · 28/04/2023 11:08

Hi all!

I have been using 0.25mg of ozempic and found it’s working well for me. The side effects are just about manageable. A lot of nausea, some fatigue and headaches.

I’ve been moved up to 0.5mg but want to stick with 0.25mg.

does anyone know whether how many doses are in the pen? What’s the best type of needle to use to get the remainder of the pen used up?

thank you!

Lavendersquare · 28/04/2023 13:08

Hi @RebelGeek76, I have been notified by Juniper that someone mentioned me and I have a £50 voucher, they didn't say who it was so thank you for that 😘

It’s early days yet @motherofcontracts. Just make sure you are eating when you are hungry and make your calories count. Steak and kale is perfect. Lots of protein and fibre. I lost 5lbs my first week and gained 1.5 in my second! So just make sure you’re eating enough and if you feel light headed eat something.

UsernameFail · 28/04/2023 16:58

A couple of users with Juniper have mentioned the scales being sent with their first order. Im being nosey now and am curious if they special scales of some sort?

Hey all, sorry if I'm asking a q that has been answered but did a search and couldn't find the answer. I have just done health express but they are out of 0.25 pens. Does anyone know where else to get them? I have a basket in Manuel, but it doesn't say what mg the pens are. Am confused!

DrMadelineMaxwell · 28/04/2023 20:47

They've definitely reinstated the reward for someone who gives the referral code as well as the person who uses it. I've just had an email from them offering that.

No just super basic cheap ones. No Bluetooth or anything

Rosie219 · 28/04/2023 22:06

@amter I think if it's your first order with Manual it will be a 0.25 pen

Rosie219 · 28/04/2023 22:09

@motherofcontracts I try to eat 1,200 calories a day. I read about side effects of rapid weight loss, particularly hair loss and gall stones, so I think slow and steady is best!

Janie934 · 28/04/2023 22:13

I just had an email from Juniper re "something big launching in May....it will significantly improve the way you experience the Juniper programme"

Anyone got any ideas what it could be? I wondered if it's Wegovy though I assumed that wouldn't be available in the UK until later in the year.

Probably shouldn't speculate incase it's something boring but I hate being left in anticipation of a big reveal.

I got the same one and hoped wegovy but I think it’s probably an app or something as their website is very basic.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 28/04/2023 23:53

I got 8 x 0.25 doses out of my first 0.25 pen, ie took my first 2 x 0.50 doses from it too (which was in the nick of time I think, isn't it about 50 days before the pen goes off?).
I got the CarePoint 4mm pen needles from Chemist4U, pack of 100 was the smallest I could find, £6.94 with P&P. They work just as well as the Novo Nordisk needles, maybe just a tiny bit less comfortable going in.

ZiggZagg · 29/04/2023 04:29

I moved up to 1mg and and struggling to sleep. I generally have an unsettled night on injection night so have started injecting in the daytime but seems to have upset my sleep tonight too!

I'm 15lb down in week 8. I just feel like a normal person on it, not constantly hungry or thinking about food! It's weird because I've been "hungry " for 20 years and the last 8 weeks have taught me that I'm really not!!

Also split with DH last Friday and have not reached for the food to help me cope which is a Jesus sent miracle 🤣 we're trying to work it out (please send me that miracle Jesus) but I feel like I will be able to cope without cakes, crisps and chocolate even if it doesn't.

I know we have to work with the drug but it's really been a miracle for me 💕

Rosie219 · 29/04/2023 08:00

@VanellopeVonSchweetz99 Ozempic says the pen lasts 56 days (in or out the fridge). I just had my 7th 0.25 dose and it looks like there's enough for an 8th dose next week.
I'm so pleased the pen has lasted 8 weeks, as the cost was a concern for me! I bought my second pen, a 0.5 pen, that I am also planning on using for 8 weeks, sticking on 0.25.
