OK weigh in day for me (week three):
Have lost 5lbs in a week, very pleased.
That's a 14 000 calorie deficit in one single week, something that would have been a massive struggle for me without the appetite suppressing effect.

I could well lose a stone in the first month!

BMI now is 31.5 so I have some way to go, but the major win for me is I no longer crave wine or carby snacks.

mumwheresmyribena · 03/04/2023 15:16

@Rosie219 The main reason for the prescriber to inform your GP isn't to check your weight, it's so the GP knows what you're taking if you get side-effects and if they needed to prescribe any other meds they can avoid unwanted interactions.

You do get the flash up that 50% is applied. But it wont apply to ozempic itself.
I have had the 50% applied to my account but by someone who tried for the 50 and either accepted the 30 or bought something other than ozempic with the offer.
If you email them to ask, as I did, they tell you that they don't honour the 50% on the weight loss medication itself. And there is small print on their site that says the same.

I'm getting ready to place my next order with Quickmeds. Does anyone know if I have to go through the consultation again? It doesn't seem to want to let me go ahead without going through it?
Thanks

I ordered mine last week and had to go via consultation again, but I didn't get asked any questions once I'd placed order and it was approved straightaway. Next time though I might ask them direct if I can just order another pen rather than have to go through consultation again.

RebelGeek76 · 03/04/2023 16:52

Word of warning to anyone ordering via QuickMeds currently. My order from Wednesday is delayed due to stock issues and their wholesaler. Apparently something to do with it being the end of the financial year. They are hoping to have this resolved in the next few days but I've noticed they've also put a note up on their website to alert their customers of any delays. So if you've ordered anything in the last few days or hope to get anything this side of Easter it may be delayed. They are generally very good and helpful so don't be put off by using them in future, hopefully just a blip and probably due to more demand too!

Coming to the end of week 2 for me and seen a definite increase in hunger and food thoughts compared to the first week. Need to trust the process rather than getting impatient!

It was the Glucomannan (listed under weight loss ) that I received 50% discount for, but only if I ordered vitamins as well .

Copy of my invoice attached and the code someone gave me .

I do appreciate that @Beenalongwinter . I'm just putting it out there in case people think that the code will work on the ozempic itself as there have been lots of people sharing the code in request to people asking for codes to get money off the ozempic without them saying that it works for other stuff only.

I'm looking to start this, can I ask where you are purchasing it from & for how much.
Manual is coming in at £129 for the 1st month then £199 per month after, is that the average?
Thank you

Manual for your first, then shop around, with discount codes you can get it around £150 a month. There are some that are cheaper than others but rarely in stock unfortunately.

LadyFarnborough · 04/04/2023 06:47

I have a code for Juniper is anyone wants to message me

I Started with manual at £129 and half price vitamins and Glucomannan . The coaching help is great with Manual
but I have cancelled after the first month and will use another supplier probably quick meds depending on supply.

Morning,
health express is the same price for 1mg as 0.5. Is it possible to adjust the dose?

thanks

RichTeaCheddars · 04/04/2023 09:39

@Kidsaregrim some people have been counting the clicks to measure out a smaller dose

Kidsaregrim · 04/04/2023 09:41

Thank you

RichTeaCheddars · 04/04/2023 09:41

Has anyone stayed on a lower dose for longer than the 4 weeks at each titration level?
I'm feeling like it's working quite well for me and I'm getting some side effects so not too keen to go up to next dose.

But I suppose there is a chance that an increase in dose doesn't necessarily mean an increase in side effects.

I’m thinking about staying on the 0.5 when I get there if it’s working for me. It honestly depends if I’m losing weight - if I’m losing my hoped for half a kilo a week, I don’t see a point in upping the dose and the side effect misery I’m assuming comes with it.

I’ll see though, depends how it goes. My only issue with the 0.25 has been a bit of constipation.

Peridot1 · 04/04/2023 10:15

@RichTeaCheddars - if you are getting the results at a lower dose then yes I would stay at that as long as I could.

RichTeaCheddars · 04/04/2023 10:56

Thanks, I think I will do that!

Adarajames · 04/04/2023 12:31

Took my first dose yesterday, am nervous of side effects but so far none so fingers crossed continues.

Not had any noticeable change on appetite but early days, does make me eat better though in hopes of minimising any side effects so it’s already helping in that way!

I’ve lost about 6lbs in last 2 weeks without ozempic, so hoping that will get easier / further loss now am taking it.

Can anyone help with Irish info? I found BeyondBMI who offer ozempic but you have to sign up to the program 150e per month Plus medication fee approx 150-200euro.

Can't afford all that!! Any advice please? 🙏

Peridot1 · 04/04/2023 13:48

I’ve seen Mybestweight.ie mentioned @Jadetreesbringluck

Jadetreesbringluck · 04/04/2023 14:25

@Peridot1 thanks 😊 I have emailed them. Il come back with info when I get it. Might be helpful for other Irish posters

Peridot1 · 04/04/2023 15:04

Maybe try starting a thread asking for any info from Irish posters? I think there are some taking it. I’m Irish too but live in UK now.
