Dim question - I've clicked on the Manual site but it's men's health. Do they assess and sell to women?

Also wondering what the difference is with My Juniper?

manual.co/r/U-O6x8se14VL

Most of us started with Manual and then move on to Junipwr or one of the others it's the same medication .
Follow the weight loss assessment and answer the questions honestly .
You will be asked for your drs details but if you ignore that question they will ask for a torso photo instead , more than half of the support group members are female and there is ongoing support via whatapp every day. I cancelled after the first month when the price went up .

Try vitamin B12 for fatigue, taken in the afternoon 🙂 someone mentioned it to me before I started. I don't get fatigued, no idea whether it's the B12 or just how I react to Ozempic but it's worth a try.

How do I join the WhatsApp group on manual? I have zero interest having a call with a coach since I hate talking on the phone and prefer to text, do I still need to pick a coach to get the group?

Madeline is the coach but she will add you to the group automatically once you order has been despatched

I'm nearly four weeks into my manual pen! I’d just never picked a coach so I guess I’ll have to do that and then just dodge any attempt at setting up a coaching call.

going to do another month on manual and then start swapping to the cheaper ones with discount codes.

There is a list of coaches but I can't find it at the moment maybe they each have a WhatsApp group .

Hi,

I'm in the UK, 56, 5'4 and 12st 2lbs = BMI 29.18 with cholesterol 6.2.

I'd like to start Ozempic after Easter and bring my weight down to just into the healthy BMI range

I eat healthily and exercise but I just eat too much of the healthy food (always hungry/ thinking about food) - and I crave chocolate.

I've looked at Manual - seems to be just for men
I've looked at My Juniper - seems to be Australian
Health Express, Quick Meds and My BMI have all been mentioned too

I can't be bothered with swapping around providers every month

Two questions:

  1. Can someone recommend me which supplier to go with - please do message me a mutual discount code if you have one, thanks
  2. We are going away in in May, with friends, to an Airbnb for three nights. I really don't want to have to put an infection pen in the shared fridge but it's ok because you only inject once a week - is this correct, please?

Thanks and best wishes to everyone

Your bmi is too low, unless you have a related condition none of those will prescribe to you.

polopolopolopoo · 06/04/2023 16:27

@Batlou yes just one injection a week so if you're only going for 3 days you could leave pen at home I suppose. Have just messaged you with a code.

Disfordiet · 06/04/2023 17:34

@Sameiam hypocritical much? Your BMI was lower to start with than @Batlou says theirs is!

Your BMI is low but I would think the high cholesterol would mean you would get prescribed it. Juniper is UK, I have a code so will message you.

I’m not saying they don’t deserve to get it, just that it will automatically turn them down if they try with just that bmi. Someone earlier was rejected for the same reason without knowing why.

Batlou · 06/04/2023 17:58

Hi again,

Thank you so much to the three people that sent me a message with a code/ name. I went with the first response - polo polo for My Juniper.

I've filled in the form and been completely honest about my height and weight - so BMI 29.18 - so we'll see whether they will prescribe it or not.

Thank you again for your help, everyone. I'll let you know how I get on. Hoping to be prescribed and to be able to start after Easter.

Fingers crossed for you! Sounds like high cholesterol is one of the conditions they make a bmi exception for so you should get it prescribed. 😊

Oooiwanna · 06/04/2023 18:50

Hi everyone. I’m on week one. I just wondered if people who have lost weight on it, have you been on a diet or have you just eaten ‘normally’ without calorie counting and the weight loss has been due to you not fancying as much as you used to?

polopolopolopoo · 06/04/2023 18:53

@Oooiwanna hiya, I've found it easier to cut sugar and carbs so I'm eating healthier without feeling hungry. I'm also eating less so it's a bit of everything.

loverofpants · 06/04/2023 19:08

I took my first dose of Mounjaro last night. So far, no real effects? Felt a bit nauseous this morning but I've had a similar appetite all day.

I know you're all on Ozempic but was the appetite suppression instant?

Rosie219 · 06/04/2023 19:16

@Oooiwanna
I've made an effort to eat healthy, but this has been easy as I'm not really craving snacky food much. Out of interest I have used a calorie counter app the last few days and I have been having about 1,200 calories. I'm pleased about this as for my weight and height this should be 1-2lbs loss a week.

polopolopolopoo · 06/04/2023 19:30

@loverofpants took about 24 hours to kick in for me

Mine was instant . I took it before bed and woke up with no interest in food.

Hi, can someone please let me know how much ozempic is for the first month and then does the cost go up? I'm just not sure I can sustain the cost long-term so not sure if its worth starting at all? I only want to lose around 14lb of menopause weight that's being particularly stubborn. I already eat healthy, around 1400 calories, and walk and go gym 3xweek but have not been able to shift a lb in 2 years. Do you think this will help?

Fortheloveofus · 06/04/2023 19:35

Any codes would be really helpful too if anyone would be so kind. Do people swap from one supplier to another each month so as to keep using codes?

Hi I've sent a 20% off code for UK Meds, that works out about £105 per pen. 😊
