@loverofpants - are you in UK? Wasnt sure if Mounjaro was available here yet. You are very welcome whatever though! Be interested in your experience of Mounjaro.

@TimeWaitsForNoWoman - I think you would need to speak to your doctor about whether Ozempic would be suitable with your other meds.

loverofpants · 05/04/2023 13:13

@Peridot1 no, I'm in the Middle East. I'm going to take the first injection tonight I think so will let you know!

Great thread, can I join please? Have ordered and been approved from Manual. Was hoping pen would be dispatched today but no email yet. Hoping to start Friday evening. Have a BMI of around 37 and need to lose around six stone. In for the long haul!

Welcome , I think orders have to be manually approved by the in-house pharmacists before despatch.

Hi everyone I have just ordered. Very excited to start after struggling to lose weight for years.

Can I ask those that did have side effects how long after the first injection were they worst? I'm trying to time it with when I'm off work.

I took my first Injection Friday night before bed, no side effects but I experienced complete loss of interest in food when I woke up and this feeling did not wear off until day 5 after which I ordered some Glucomannan which helped stave off the hunger until next injection.

I'm approaching the end of my 2nd week on 0.25.
No side effects.
No massively noticeable effects on the amount I can eat or what I eat.

Obviously a lot of it is still willpower and good choices and I know 0.25 is classified as not a therapeutic dose.

Tempted to go up to 0.5 a few weeks early as 0.25 is not doing anything it seems.

Backtoblack1 · 05/04/2023 15:46

Am looking at ordering on my bmi website. Has anyone ordered from these? It’s &129.99 for starters pack x

im 5ft 1 and 11st 4. Feeling fat and desperate 😢

RichTeaCheddars · 05/04/2023 15:52

Mybmi is £199 for me?

Does anyone have a juniper code they could PM me please. Looking to move on from Manual

polopolopolopoo · 05/04/2023 16:21

@RichTeaCheddars will pm you now

mumwheresmyribena · 05/04/2023 16:36

@2kidsintow The lower doses in the start are to get your body used to the drug, it's not meant to be a therapeutic dose even if some people do respond. Please keep to the manufacturer's mandated dosing regime rather than just going off-piste and diving your own thing. This is a regulated drug and totally shouldn't be played around with in a whim.

Coming to the end of week 2 for me and seen a definite increase in hunger and food thoughts compared to the first week. Need to trust the process rather than getting impatient!

Do you mean decrease? I'm just at the end of week 1 and not noticed any change at all, hoping I will do on week 2...

LadyFarnborough · 05/04/2023 16:48

@summerlovingvibes No, I did mean increase! First week just wasn't hungry at all but that shifted a bit during the second week. Took my 3rd shot yesterday and it seems to have taken away some of the hunger again. Feeling more 'meh' about food again.

Oh ok! That's interesting. Yes I haven't noticed a difference either except the first couple of days maybe not so hungry, then no difference in my norm. Due second dose of 0.25 tomorrow, am tempted to take it this afternoon. Like you - I will trust in the process and keep going!

TheGoodEnoughWife · 05/04/2023 16:58

Has been approved and now I have a dispatch notice. So keen to get started.

Sameiam · 05/04/2023 17:03

I’m finding I’m not hungry for the first 3-4 days and then my appetite and desire for sweet things comes back. Hoping it will last a bit longer with my last 0.25 dose this weekend/the 0.5 afterwards

LittleDitto · 05/04/2023 17:40

Oh I’m feeling so excited now! My package arrived today. I didn’t realise they sent you scales.

I’m gong to inject later tonight.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 05/04/2023 18:10

Thanks for the new thread!
I'm three weeks in and I'm so happy I did this.
So far I've lost 2-3lbs every week and my mild initial side effects are subsiding.
I've almost completely cut alcohol (my weak spot) with no cravings so that's a massive win health wise.

Glucomannan really helps the last few days.

Not sure if anyone answered you . Which is the website you are looking at ? That price seems to be the average staring price.

I use MyBMI, I've found them to be good so far. I think I've always paid £199 per pen though.

I am so happy with my results so far. I didn't notice much at first but I'm now on my second month at the 1mg dose and the change in me is incredible. I eat breakfast, lunch, and can only manage a small amount of dinner. I have no urge to snack any more, no sugar cravings, no boredom or emotional eating. I feel as though this must be how "normal" people feel about food. I've lost about 18 pounds and have another 10ish to lose and it feels totally achieveable. I'm actually really happy that it's taken 3 months to lose 18 pounds, it feels sensible and sustainable. This is actually the best thing I've ever done!!

UsernameFail · 05/04/2023 21:35

Wow that's incredible @BryonyG
Well done.

I had some wine tonight which I didn't enjoy at all, followed by dinner which I couldn't finish.

I am hoping these are positive effects of Oz and not my head playing with me

BryonyG · 05/04/2023 21:56

I'd say try not to overthink it @UsernameFail - it may well be a placebo effect at this stage but even if it is, so what? Go with it and trust the process! Just don't be disheartened if the effects wear off a wee bit, once you move up to the higher doses you'll definitely feel the benefit.

Kidsaregrim · 05/04/2023 22:19

I’ve just taken my final dose of 0.25, I tried to be cheeky and order the 1mg pen so I could get more for my money, I order through health express and all the pens are £159.99 on next day delivery. They cottoned on though and called me so I’ve got my 0.5 coming next week! I had a really good first week but not feeling any effect now so definitely feel like I need to up the dosage! I’ve lost 10lb in total so far and started to up the exercise - the dogs are not please, they are exhausted 😴

LittleDitto · 05/04/2023 23:08

I’m done! First dose in. I worried i accidentally messed it up but I don’t think I did. I did it into my thigh. I guess only time will tell!

TheGoodEnoughWife · 06/04/2023 06:20

That's great @LittleDitto, as long as mine comes today I am starting tonight.

UsernameFail · 06/04/2023 08:20

Good tip, thank you @BryonyG

At the end of the day I do hope Oz changes my relationship with food. I love it, more than most. I've always wished for that 'I'm full/ satiated stop' button.
