Great to read about all the experiences here!

Does anyone know if there are discount codes that work for the second month of Juniper?

LemonPledge555 · 21/04/2023 18:51

I’ve just had my second dose last night and beginning to feel the effects which is good because I’ve been really hungry the last couple of days. I’ve weighed in this morning and lost 1.4kg/just over 3lbs. I had so much on this last week so I’m really pleased with that. I’ve got a lunch tomorrow, but the rest of the week should be pretty manageable. It’s definitely not been easy. But much easier to eat less if that makes sense.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 21/04/2023 19:23

@NigellaAwesome I'm in the same boat. Going up to .0.5 this week (using 2 of my spare 0.25 doses to do it this week and next) then I've got a 0.5 pen ready.

I think i've read it's 36 clicks for 0.5mg. There are images of click charts on google if you have a look. I'd wanted to do the same and get a 1mg pen, but when I told juniper I'd have been on 0.5 they made me get another 0.5 pen anyway.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 21/04/2023 19:24

Also in same boat that I've had zero side effects, but also v limited progress on the diet either.

I'm disciplined with my lunch and breakfast and will apply the same to my dinners going forward too.

UsernameFail · 21/04/2023 20:32

Sadly I'm also ok on alcohol!

Saying this, I'm not drinking as much but I was hoping Oz would put me completely off alcohol but no such luck.

Twiglets1 · 21/04/2023 21:04

Fortheloveofus · 21/04/2023 17:49

Can I ask if anyone has had any bad side-effects from alcohol? Apart from hangovers of course! I've got a few events and weekends away coming up. Manual coach says it's fine to have a drink or two but would like to hear from personal experience too?

I threw up after 2 glasses of Prosecco. Had stronger side affects than most people, but still … if I try it again I will go alcohol free next time until I am well past the nausea stage

Fortheloveofus · 21/04/2023 21:05

Thank you for all your replies about alcohol. I guess I'll find out Sunday how it affects me. If I don't report back Mobday, I guess you can guess

Tillymintxx · 21/04/2023 21:18

I was on ozempic about 18 months ago but stopped as I got pregnant. When restarting 6 weeks ago I went straight to 0.5mg and this month I’m on 1mg.

First 5 weeks I’ve had no difference in appetite and started to feel really disheartened. Anyway took it last night but changed my injection site from thigh to stomach and my appetite is completely gone and I am exhausted. Has anyone else found that it is more affective when injected in one area over another or could it be coincidental?

Fortheloveofus · 21/04/2023 21:28

I'm sorry you're feeling so exhausted. Hope it's a temporary thing for you.
I've purposely been injecting in thigh as I'd read people have less side-effects. But if I don't get appetite suppression over next week or two, I might change to stomach.

Thanks! I mean I’m not too bothered about being tired but my appetite is completely gone! Hopefully my energy increases but all I’ve eaten today is 1200 calories and I can’t physically stomach more 🤞 it’s worth changing your injection site as this is the first time in 6 weeks I’m noticing a difference in appetite

I think it's probably coincidental. I tried injecting in the stomach or thighs on alternate weeks and it didn't make any difference to my side effects, including appetite suppression, nausea etc.
I read a lot of posts on Reddit about Ozempic and the majority view seemed to be that it made no difference where you inject - that is also the manufacturers advice.

UsernameFail · 22/04/2023 08:21

Morning all,

I had my first weigh in. 2kgs down in 3 weeks. Not as much as others but I've been on holiday for 2 weeks, eaten mostly what I wanted and still drinking wine.

It will be interesting to see how I fair this week when I'm back to normal with eating lean protein and veg, and exercising.

Whilst I hadn't really noticed much in the way of appetite suppressant like others, I don't 'need' to eat as much. I also appear to have the stop switch in my head that says thats enough and leave food on my plate.

The snacking has gone and I don't feel the craving to have something sweet after I've eaten.

All very positive.

For anyone who hasn't read or listened to the Zoe podcast, like @Peridot1 I strongly recommend you do. It's very insightful

MuMuMuuuum · 22/04/2023 08:49

Morning all, I've just completed week 10 and I'm down 13.5lbs so just shy of a stone which I'm delighted with.

Great to see people's results here, Ozempic has been a game changer for me after struggling for years.

Mayflower18 · 22/04/2023 09:52

Thank you to everyone who’s posted. It’s been really helpful to read.

Does anyone have a My Juniper code available?

I’m on my second week of 0.5. Yesterday I had 1400 but the day before that all I could manage came in at 615. It was so weird. I wanted to eat more but just felt so full as though it were impossible. I’ve never had that before on this drug.

Maybe! But it’s strange how before hand I had zero restriction and barely any symptoms. Either way here’s to finally losing weight in week 6 🥰

OohBurnDavid · 22/04/2023 14:06

I’m on day 4 after 1st dose of 0.25. Only symptoms are more frequent burping (ordinary burps) and less frequent (but still regular enough) bowel movements. I’ve still got an unpleasant taste in my mouth and things don’t taste as nice. I am taking psyllium husk in the mornings to help prevent constipation and drinking 3 litres of water as I’m really thirsty.

I am eating three times per day despite not feeling hungry. I don’t want to finish meals as feel full quickly, during the week I’d made a chicken salad pitta for work so are half at lunchtime then ate the reminder an hour or two later. Today I had half a tin of beans on two slices of wholemeal toast and managed 3/4 of it. I hate nausea so hoping maintaining small regular meals will help keep this at bay.

I have definitely lost some bloat or weight already as I can feel it in my clothes.

Diedre44 · 22/04/2023 15:20

Had my first 0.5 injection this morning and I'm bloody ravenous this afternoon. I had a plain bagel with an egg and cheese cracked in middle and cooked in air fryer around 11.30 and then a chunky flap jack around 1.30 and I can't stop thinking about food at all. I'm starving.

RausageSoul · 22/04/2023 15:29

Still on week one, day 5, but can't get over how my silly cravings have vanished! Was in B&M and usually start grabbing all sort of nonsense, under the pretence to my sled that I'll calorie count the lot and be sensible.

Peridot1 · 22/04/2023 15:57

@Diedre44 eat some more protein. Bagel and flapjack quite carby esp the flapjack which may have spiked your blood sugar and then it crashed leaving you hungry.

iontheprize · 22/04/2023 16:54

Mayflower18 I'll send you a juniper code now - check your messages x

iontheprize · 22/04/2023 17:02

Usernamefail a big "Ditto" to your post. I'm also on week 3 and just had my first weigh in because I was on holiday. I have only lost 2 kg since starting but I haven't really been monitoring my intake while on holiday. Also, I usually come back having gained a few pounds due to stress eating (mothers!) and comfort food (eating the foods I grew up with that I can't get in my current city!) so being down 2 kg feels positive. Also lost a few cm off my waist, which is where i need to lose it most.
I agree I don't feel a huge appetite drop but do find I have a stop switch and can leave food on my plate which I never could before.

AutisticLegoLover · 22/04/2023 17:39

What a money making racket juniper/manual etc. are. Ozempic costs the NHS £73.25 for 4 weeks treatment.

UsernameFail · 22/04/2023 18:39

Good to hear @iontheprize !! In the grand scheme of things a 2kg Wright loss on ANY holiday without D&V is a win in my books

EightMonthsScared · 22/04/2023 18:57

@iontheprize could I have a code please 😊

@AutisticLegoLover that is jaw dropping. We need somebody 'on the inside' to start supplying us directly. 🤔
