I've used 2 x 0.25 doses from my first quickmeds pen but just ordered the 0.5 as they have it back in stock by now and I didn't want to risk running out

OzzyTrier · 18/04/2023 18:03

Omg. Just had a normal sized sirloin steak.and mushrooms got full up so put half the steak in the fridge for tomorrow.

I cant believe it.

Genuinely shocked. Fanflamingtastic.

I've not even overeaten today and i have done loads of exercise.

Rosie219 · 18/04/2023 18:33

@LittleDitto
I don't think the plunger really showed in my pen until the 3rd 0.25 injection

kkr168 · 18/04/2023 19:13

I've gone ahead & ordered my next pen from quickmeds.
Attached to there stock informer email was a £5 off code, every little helps - REPEAT5

RausageSoul · 18/04/2023 21:36

Finally took the plunge and administered my first 0.25 dose. In my pudgy tummy, didn't feel a thing. Eeep

Fortheloveofus · 18/04/2023 22:02

Good luck to you all taking your first doses tonight 💐

Janie934 · 18/04/2023 22:50

Just taken my first 0.25 dose. I got a bit nervous when I saw the needle but didn't feel a thing. Fingers crossed I don't get any side effects (well except the intended one!) .

Diedre44 · 19/04/2023 11:20

Has anyone else had any problems with constipation? On 5th week and 1st 0.5ml injection this week and today is the first time I feel like I've gone properly since starting injection despite taking dulcolax and a daily 30grams of chia and flax seed, I'm fully hydrated, I'm drinking much more water than pre injection can happily get through 2.5/3ltrs of water and unsweetened coconut drink a day. Apologies if TMI but don't feel like I've had a healthy movement for weeks now and only maybe been 5/6 times and each time been more like a skinny cat poo than a human. I am loosing well averaging around 3lb a week but this is making me feel just as heavy. Any advice anyone?

Peridot1 · 19/04/2023 11:47

Yes I really suffered with it too. I’ve been on it over a year now and I feel it’s finally settled now. I take psyllium husk when I remember and magnesium and a Holland & Barrett Colon Cleanse table (aloe Vera, liquorice and dandelion I think) each night. But I do remember being like you. Fybogel was good but that is just psyllium husk too apparently. I found Sennakot better than Ducolax which gave me dreadful cramps.

Fortheloveofus · 19/04/2023 12:26

Hi everyone, after all my moaning, I've lost 3lb. Now I was definitely stsrving all week but made a concerted effort to eat healthier and I did a lot of walking amd exercise so maybe it was down to that, but even if the injection had a placebo effect for the first week, it worked.
My question is, I'm due second dose tonight but I've woke up today still hungry but feeling queasy. Anyone else took 6 - 7 days for side effects to come on or could this just be coincidence?

Peridot1 · 19/04/2023 12:48

Great result @Fortheloveofus! The queasy feeling could be related. Might not. It’s hard to say as people are so different with now they feel on Ozempic. The times I felt queasy was if I needed to eat something.

flouncymcflouncerson · 19/04/2023 13:10

Hello. I’ve been taking saxenda but having issues with bruising all over my stomach and I think I’d prefer a weekly rather than daily injection.

I’m looking for any recommendations or discount codes for the best price and place to order please :)

KitKat791 · 19/04/2023 14:21

Just taken my first 0.25 dose! Feeling a bit nervous but hopeful for good results.

Fortheloveofus · 19/04/2023 14:31

Good luck @KitKat791 . Keep us updated with your progress

RausageSoul · 19/04/2023 14:43

Today I feel fine and no symptoms so far, but already not snacking! Usually by now I'd have been grazing the cupboards and made poor choices then skipped lunch.

I made sure I ate breakfast and had a protein shake, but going to make a light lunch now!

Twiglets1 · 19/04/2023 15:13

@Fortheloveofus your nausea is likely a side effect as it's a common one and constipation is another common side effect @Diedre44 - I used to take a mild laxative every few days to counteract it.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 19/04/2023 16:49

Constipation here too, just ordered psyllium husk, magnesium citrate & stool softener.
In the first weeks I had the opposite issue, but it transpired I had been a bit heavy handed with my melatonin ie not ozempic related.
I'm 5 weeks in and seeing great results btw - lost over a stone and soon no longer obese, merely overweight!

Fortheloveofus · 19/04/2023 19:32

@Peridot1 and @Twiglets1 thank you. I have felt better every time I've eaten something today.

Just going to my second dose and see how this week goes

OzzyTrier · 19/04/2023 19:40

So I had my third jab yesterday. I missed lunch because stuff, and had a moderate dinner.

And I have my first nausea .

  • *what are your best tips?

Don't miss lunch?

I have travel sickness pills in stock.

I had a digestive enzyme pill with dinner.

I'm worried about being able to consume enough. Any of you do meal replacement shakes?

Diedre44 · 19/04/2023 20:19

Has anyone used MYBMI? I need to refill before the weekend and I cancelled with Manual they didn't offer any discount lower than £179. I did ask earlier in the thread but I don't know how to find it again. I've scrolled back twice and can't find it at all. Thanks

SarahC50 · 19/04/2023 20:43

Hi I know I read this somewhere but I can't find it. I've just taken my fourth dose of 0.25mg and ordered the 0.5mg with juniper. The pen looks like it has tonnes left. Does anyone know how many doses of 0.25mg are left in the pen? It looks like multiple ml. It seems very wasteful and expensive and I can see why folk have ordered extra needles. I was thinking if using this excess for stepping down after reaching goal. It says expires 2025 but once opened thirty days,I wonder if this is spin or a biological fact.

Many thanks.

Ps @Fortheloveofus fabulous loss well done x

Fortheloveofus · 19/04/2023 21:03

@SarahC50 thank you. Just took my second dose.

I think from what I've read, it does have to be used with 56 days of first dose or of receiving it? I still wouldn't throw it away. Put your new prescription on fridge when you receive it and continue using your original pen until all used up and then start the new one, as that will last 57 days too.
I hope that's correct but I'm sure someone with more knowledge will confirm or give exact details

Rosie219 · 19/04/2023 21:38

Yes, the Ozempic website says it lasts 8 weeks, so makes sense to use up your current pen before starting your new one

Rosie219 · 19/04/2023 21:40

I think you can get 8 doses of 0.25mg out of the 0.25 pens

Rosie219 · 19/04/2023 21:42

Or if you are planning on going to 0.5mg in week 5 you can give yourself it from your 0.25 pen
