Has anyone had the following, I was sitting watching TV when I started sweating profusely, went a bit strange like I wasn’t in the room, kind of vacant, shaking, and starving to the point of nausea.

I had a glass of fresh orange juice and a slice of toast it lasted about 20 minutes and I’m fine now.

I’ve had 4 weeks of 0.25 and start 0.5 tomorrow. I’ve not really had many side effects

Sounds like low blood sugar.

I'll pop back on and let you know if anything changes.
This is my first order. How do they send it our- RM or courier? Will they just post it through letterbox if I'm not home?

My order from Saturday was despatched today at 16.52 presumably when royal mail scanned the parcel.

@Beenalongwinter thank you. I've just this minute got notification from RM to say they've received parcel and should be with by 3pm tomorrow.
Guys, I have a host of questions I want to ask before starting this so I apologise in advance if I bore you all silly or piss you off! I'll try find answers on threads first though, I promise

@LemonPledge555 I've just had the 'it's on its way' email. Hopefully you'll get yours shortly too💐

Yes me too 🙌🏻🙌🏻 and a Royal Mail tracking email too, brilliant!

Rosie219 · 11/04/2023 19:13

Hi all, I called Manual about my second pen and the best they could offer was £179. So I've cancelled in the hope to find it cheaper elsewhere!

Quickmeds seems the cheapest, just not in stock. I might wait a week and if I can't order with them try somewhere else.

I'm going to keep using my current pen, I've already had four weeks at 0.25 so should have at least two more doses. I'm going to stay on 0.25 as it's working great for me and I've not had any bad side effects. (Except a crazy unquenchable thirst on day 1!)

To be honest I don't quite understand the half life thing, I know some people put up the charts which was really helpful but I didn't quite get it! Is it basically, every week you inject you have more in your system?

Thanks as always for everyone's advice!

After many messages from a doctor at Juniper I’ve been approved. I had to send a copy of my latest annuals kidney/liver function blood test results as I’m on 4 BP drugs. I’m glad they were thorough and just didn’t dish it out. I’m really scared about side effects especially nausea and fatigue as I have a condition that causes fatigue to start with. But I suppose you don’t know unless you try. I’ve been watching YouTube vids for tips and advice and how and what to eat. I’ve just watched a video about how to use the Ozempic pen. The ones that I’ve watched actually have the doses on so you don’t have to count clicks but is that how the ones from Juniper are. I’ve only watched US videos so far so don’t know if ours differ.

Twilightstarbright · 11/04/2023 21:04

@LemonPledge555 @Fortheloveofus mine has been dispatched too!

If it arrives tomorrow I’m going to take it tomorrow night.

My Royal Mail email says tomorrow by 3pm. I’m totally havering now about waiting til Tuesday night as it’s my birthday. But then I’ve a lunch out next sat too and dinner the following Saturday. So I just need to suck it up and take it tomorrow or Thursday. Also planning around a city break so trying to avoid taking it with me! Thursday may be better 😂

Rosie219 · 11/04/2023 21:27

I've just managed to order the 0.5mg pen on Quickmeds for £145 using the SAVE5 code.

I filled in an online questionnaire and paid for it, does anyone who has ordered with them before know the process for getting it approved and sent out? Thanks

Abyss23 · 11/04/2023 21:35

@Rosie219 I ordered from them on Saturday. I had a WhatsApp message yesterday asking me to confirm convenient time for a phone consultation. Then today another message saying my order had been reviewed and I don't need a phone consultation, its approved. Should be despatched tomorrow.

Twilightstarbright · 11/04/2023 21:37

@LemonPledge555 I’m out on Fri night and Sat lunch so want to start straight away in case I get side effects.

I’m going to be stalking the postman!

Yes, the pen has the dose on it. You just turn it round until it gets to 0.25. I watched the video Juniper linked to in all their information but to be honest the instructions that come in the box with the pen were spot on and easy to follow.

Fortheloveofus · 11/04/2023 21:45

@Twilightstarbright @LemonPledge555 I'm definitely going to inject tomorrow night too. I have three weekends away planned from end of April to beginning June and if I don't start straightaway, I'll eat myself into a coma and be a stone heavier by summer. I've made enough excuses for nights/days out, delaying starting or ordering. No more excuses.
Would be great to hear how you're both getting on, side effects and progress etc seen as we're all starting about same time. Good luck 💐

LSGX · 11/04/2023 21:49

I was approved by My Jupiter UK this afternoon - I'm guessing I'll be able to start later this week.

Question: What happens when you reach a healthy BMI? Do they continue to prescribe Ozempic for maintenance or are you on your own after that?

Thanks

Rosie219 · 11/04/2023 21:49

@Abyss23 Thanks for the info!

LemonPledge555 · 11/04/2023 21:50

That’s kind of where I’ve got to tonight. If I delay this week for my birthday then I’m days away from a meal out and then another week for a night out.

I think realistically I’ll just have a couple of slices of pizza on my birthday (will order in a few for family to share). So I won’t need to worry about eating too much. For the meal next Sat it’s a lunch and I’ll just order a main and see how I go. We’d normally get stuck into the wine, but I think I’ll order and gin and slim and just take it slow and drink plenty water as I’ll be two doses in by then. It’s just a strategy at the end of the day and there’s every chance I could be as much as a stone lighter before we go away in 5 weeks if I play my cards right. And I would love to have shifted a bit, just to feel more comfortable!

Will keep on the thread and update. If you’re on insta I’ve set up an account there I will post pics on too, I can PM it to you.

Most people don’t count clicks. You don’t need to if you’re sticking to the doses the way the manufacturers recommend.
People only mention counting the clicks on here because some people choose to give themselves different doses to the ones Ozempic suggests such as 0.25mg, 0.5, 1mg etc

mumwheresmyribena · 11/04/2023 22:24

@Twiglets1 I was prescribed a .5 pen to start with but I wanted to actually inject .25 so I had to count the clicks. I now have a 1mg pen but only take .5 so again I need to count the clicks. So I stick to recommend doses but need to count clicks.

mumwheresmyribena · 11/04/2023 22:29

@Rosie219 Yes, a 7 day half-life means that after 7 days half of what you injected remains in your system. After a few weeks this builds up to the "steady-state" which means that you always have the therapeutic dose in your system. If you inject more frequently there can never be a steady-state and there's a possibility that you could overdose

MedievalMadness · 11/04/2023 22:40

Twiglets1. Thanks. Im glad the pen has the doses on . I’m really nervous about starting it as I so want to be able to take it without awful side effects . I often seem to have weird side effects to things so am 🤞🏼I’ll be ok with it as I’m desperate for it to help.

Rosie219 · 11/04/2023 23:05

@mumwheresmyribena ah thank you for the explanation!

imaginationhasfailedme · 11/04/2023 23:12

Beenalongwinter · 11/04/2023 17:03

Can I ask why you didn't like the tablets?

I'm an early riser but need to take it at least 30 mins before anything else. So I have to take it as soon as I wake up and then dither until I can get up for my cup of tea! Just faff. And the bitterness is amazing

Twiglets1 · 12/04/2023 06:09

You are probably choosing to buy higher dose pens than you need as a cheaper way to use Ozempic. Of course that’s fine but I just wanted to make the point that there is no need to count clicks if people buy the pens in the way the manufacturer intended & continue to use them that way as they progress up to higher doses. People don’t have to count clicks unless they choose to.

Yes the 0.25mg pen has the correct dose in it for a beginner and you should take that dose for at least 4 weeks. The pen actually has more in it than 4 weeks worth so you can use the same pen for a couple of weeks more but will need to buy more of the needles off Amazon or somewhere.
