Is anyone else doing this? I started on Saturday (a little later than my planned 1st Jan start as I was skiing). So today I completed my first day of the 14 day phase 2.

I took the salts on Saturday but they didn't kick in until the evening so kids bedtime was fun.

I ate vegetables all weekend, drank black tea and coffee.

Today I have had:
B - Blueberries and Greek yogurt
L - Spicy mince with mushrooms, peppers and salad with ACV
D - 2 egg omelette with mushrooms and peppers and some cucumber and dessert was steamed apple sprinkled with cinnamon.

I have been sipping on fruit tea through the day (which I think is allowed).

I weighed in this morning and have lost 4 1/2 pounds so far - 148.8lbs starting weight and now am 144.5. So we will see how the weigh ins go...

Honestly I don't feel hungry, if I was to snack now it would be because of boredom rather than hunger which is why I'm planning to take myself to bed soon.

I'm really hoping to keep this up and complete all the phases but I would love to have a buddy? Is anyone else on the HBD wagon?

Think I'm going to have to rethink my P3 as I am now two weeks in and no further weight loss (although no gain either). Might go back to fat free yoghurt as I still feel full on that but it's a lot less calories. Definitely need to get more exercise in my schedule.
Not exactly sure why it's stalled as I'm not really cheating.
A bit frustrating.

I think it’s really common to have that at the stage you’re at, I think it can go on up to three weeks or so then starts moving again. It’s the same on Fast 800 which I think is quite similar when you look at ultimate calories and type of food. I know it’s easy for me to say but I wouldn’t change anything, if you're following the rules, as you should be really close to seeing movement again!

How’s everyone doing? I’m on P2 D9, just about hanging in there! Week one weigh-in was 7 pounds, so that’s good.

Lisalovestom · 08/03/2024 21:06

I’m on p2 d5 and have not been able to eat tonight as I feel too ill.
Ive got terrible bloating and have not been to the loo for 2 days so have horrible upper stomach pains. I’ve lost over half stone to date but I need to poo!! My stomach looks 9mths pregnant!
i made the mistake of having eggs in days 2 & 3 and am now paying the price!!

You poor thing. I got some magnesium citrate from Holland & Barrett and took 4 a day for two days with meals. Now reduced to 2 a day. They’ve def helped.

I’m P2D10 and still going. It sure takes willpower doesn’t it. I’ve lost around 5lb so far. Clothes fitting much better. Looking forward to P3. Got a couple of days in Spain next week though so might relax it a bit then back to P3 when I’m home. Well done on getting this far

Frenchfemme · 08/03/2024 21:23

I’m starting tomorrow! Will check in with starting weight. I’m going to find 3 meals a day challenging in P2 and P3 as I very rarely eat breakfast. I will be eliminating all dairy and nightshades in the hope it might help my arthritis.

Yes, and I usually have zero willpower. But for some reason am sticking to it so think maybe it’s all the success stories online, particularly with middle aged women! That sounds like a perfect plan for your holiday. I have to go to out for a meal tonight which is kind of a no-no on P2 but I can’t make myself start all over again so will just do my best!

I’m like that normally with breakfast so I have my Apple, stewed with cinnamon and seeds. It’s kind of my only treat so makes me ok with eating it! Hard for first two days though when idea of veg for breakfast is unappealing!

Started on 27th January and so far lost 16 lbs. 5 more to go. The amazing thing is I’ve not felt hungry

Crikey you are lucky not to have felt hungry. I get bad around 4pm but have managed. That’s an incredible weight loss. When you hit target how will you maintain it? That’s what I can’t get my head around.

Z0rr0 · 09/03/2024 09:17

Hi all. Well I'm happy today because I finally started shifting weight again on P3. You were right @Ginthing. So I lost a couple more pounds. I didn't quite hit my target for this weekend but am only 1lb away, so all in all pretty happy and hopeful that the downward trajectory will continue.
I took my measurements at my largest a few years ago when I first started my weight loss journey, but I haven't checked them since so I probably should do that. But yesterday I wore my fleece for the first time in a few months and was surprised how loose it was, so that's good.
Also I've been having a massive sort out including my wardrobe and I tried on a couple of things I haven't worn for years and they fit! So that was cool. A bit shocked because the label said size 12 and I haven't been a size 12 on my top (because of big boobs) for maybe 12 years. 14/16 for ages. But maybe Monsoon come up large because I definitely can't squeeze in some other size 12 tops yet.
Am managing to stick to the regime mostly.
Still need to get better at exercise.
Constipation remains an issue. I struggle with a bit of IBS belly anyway so bloating and constipation have always been a feature but it is worse on this. The magnesium does help.
Hope you're all doing well. Is great hearing everyone's successes.

Z0rr0 · 09/03/2024 09:18

Oh I got my people mixed up. @ItsNotEasyBeingGreens was right about the P3 stall.
@Ginthing I was going to ask you, what's NSVs?

Katrinawaves · 09/03/2024 09:22

You have just posted a NSV @Z0rr0 when you told us about your Monsoon top.

It means a non scale victory - so anything not measured by the value on the scales going down. Could be fitting into a smaller size, choosing a different meal and enjoying it, not needing the seatbelt extender on a plane, dropping inches, having more energy or anything else you notice

Thanks, I’ll get some today. I slept all night but went to bed with very cold hands and feet which is unusual as I’m menopausal!but must be because I’ve had no food which isn’t great. The stomach pain is less this morning But again no food
ill get the seeds and apple down me and see how the day goes

Z0rr0 · 09/03/2024 09:24

Ahh gotcha. Thank you. Not heard that before. Smile

Mentaldays · 09/03/2024 12:22

I have now lost 17lbs since 26th January, I’ve still got a way to go but feeling much better generally. Treat meal today and a few wines at my parents later but right back on track after!

I was being “down with the kids” 🤣
Really happy your scales are on the move again. I thought you might be on the verge of giving up. It’s really reassuring to hear the perseverance has paid off.

That’s brilliant! I do get hungry at times, but I think more than that it’s just the really strong urges for sugar, and trying to get rid of those is one of my reasons for doing this anyway. I think even though I get hungry occasionally, it then goes away again before I eat next and so I know it’s not necessarily a feeling I’m going to be stuck with if that makes sense?

also, because I can’t have anything in between meals, as much as I miss it, it does take away that constant thought process of what could I have to eat? When I’ve done things like slimming world I’m always thinking about what I’m allowed to snack on. I’m also saving on takeaway coffees

That’s brilliant too, it’s really motivating that the weight actually comes off.

LBMCR · 10/03/2024 20:58

I’m 10 days into P3 and this weekend I’ve been so hungry between meals. Has anyone experienced this. I had my dinner at 7pm tonight and I’m absolutely starving now!

I haven’t weighed myself since starting P3. I’ve really enjoyed the treat meals.

Ginthing · 11/03/2024 10:05

I’ve come to be accountable. After a run of very social weekends, and 5 nights in Italy, all on top of each other, where I have definitely not been keeping to the 1 treat meal a week rule, I’ve weighed in this morning. I was pleasantly surprised to only be up 5lbs from my lowest weight since starting hbd, so currently net -6lbs from start, just scraping in under the next stone barrier. I am back on it today, cutting out the cherries and yogurt for breakfast, 4 days of eggs, spinach and mushrooms for me and also stopping the dark chocolate that had been creeping in. Unfortunately the heavy social whirl continues with a weekend away this week. If I can just keep under that awful next stone I will be happy. However, the biggest plus was that the Ryanair seatbelt, that had been getting frighteningly close to saturation point, had plenty of slack in it.

Lazydaiz · 11/03/2024 14:58

I’ve also been drifting a bit ….. a couple of days away last week, a family meal out on Saturday and then Mother’s Day yesterday. Trying to get back to being strict today but it’s not easy. Cravings for sweet things are back with a vengeance! On the plus side I saw my sister for the first time in a few weeks and although I hadn’t told her I was doing this, she noticed that I had lost weight. Nobody else has though 🙁

Ali102 · 11/03/2024 18:35

Anyone else feel a bit yucky the following day after a treat meal?

Yes me, I feel awful after a treat meal. I wake up feeling hungover. Thirsty and puffy!
