5ft 4- what weight is considered slim?

Hi
Firstly I know this is hugely subjective. Just wondering what people's opinions are on this. I have lost weight over the last year and a half, gone down from 17st 3lbs to 12st 8.25lbs. goal weight is 10st 6lbs which I want to get down to by the end of the year.
I would like to know what people consider a good weight for my height (5ft 4inches), like what weight would make me look slim, I don't know whether to lower my goal weight. Ive still got quite a big belly. I'm not expecting to ever be stick thin, but would like to look relatively slim by the end of it

Thanks for any responses in advance 😊

@Echoes89, well done on your weight loss. It depends on your build and on how muscly you are. I'm about that height and have been a very toned nearly 10 st and looked great. I'm never going to, or ever did, look like a model.
If not toned, I look best at around 8 st 3 and def. not over 9 st.

I'd try to do some toning exercise - something you enjoy, pilates and weights are good - so that your tone and posture will be good.

I'm that height and I like to be around 9st 7lb. I have to avoid carbs like the plague to maintain it though as I have a desk job and a toddler so barely any time to exercise. Would love 9st but just not achievable as I love food too much!

Currently at 10st after a few holidays and it feels too big - my clothes are snug and I just don't feel my best.

I'm 5'3, in the last 4 months Ive lost about 10lb and now weigh 8'10. I've gone from a size 12 to an 8 to 10. I looked a bit porky at the higher weight, I look fine now. I'd like to lose some more body fat and replace it with muscle as my Samsung watch still says my body fat is in the red zone.

Well done on your weight loss, that's a huge achievement.

Basing your goal weight on dress sizes or some arbitrary poll of what people consider slim is probably not the way to go.

Everyone's healthy weight is different, even within the BMI range, because of varying frame sizes and build. I have a large build, so I can be a healthy weight at a BMI of 24-25. If I were a smaller build, I might need to be 20-22.

The best gauge is your waist size, as that is a better determinant of your frame, relative to BMI. The circumference of your waist at the narrowest point should be less than half your height. The visceral fat on your organs is the dangerous stuff that can cause major health problems, so keep going until your waist is less than half your height.

This is great advice. Thanks 🙏
