Lazy pig seeks other lazy pigs to lose 1lb a week.

Ok, this starts on Monday, as I have a steak pie and mash and yorkies to eat tomorrow. Will also heroically finish the Christmas chocolate so it’s out of the house. Once that’s all achieved, I’m good to go.

I need and must lose at least one pound a week until April. That’s about a stone.

Shouldn’t be too hard, right? Wrong. I’m basically fucking lazy, I hate exercise, hate going out in bad weather and am a total gluttonous food guzzling pig. And probably peri menopausal. And I sit at a desk all day. And a million other pathetic excuses why I’ve not shifted this weight in 2022 like I said I would.

I can’t be the only one who’s got sod all willpower, so who’s up to being fully accountable to this thread?

Lazy pigs like me especially welcome. Weigh in Monday morning.

Spring?! A pound a week would see me at target at about Christmas time! That said, a pound a week is what I’m managing, somehow just don’t have it in me to do more.

I lost 18Kg over 9 months. Slow and steady is good, a way of life, not too drastic.

And you are doing really well!

I am just tweaking a Kilo and a half now so that I don’t creep up again. But still v slow (ahem, a good few trough dives slower than originally planned) so that it’s like a reset rather than crash / yo-yo losing. That I couldn’t do anyway.

Octopus45 · 19/02/2023 19:01

Having being doing too well here. Thought I 'd conquered not eating for the sake of it, but not enough exercise and and too many snacks the last few days. Generally low on energy, think I need to start some supplements or get checked out. Of course a GP might tell me that I'm just a lazy pig lol.

On the plus side I bought a bikini for my Summer holiday today. I'm quite bottom heavy and need some serious toning, but dont feel too bad in it. Four or so pounds off between now and my holiday would be great, should be doable as my holiday is the first week in August.

DietQueen2023 · 19/02/2023 19:27

I’ve been stuck at 12 3 for past 2 weeks. Does this mean I need to start exercising groan

I’m stuck between 10.4 and 10.5 and feel the same. First few lbs was easy, but I’ve stalled.

I’m out for two meals this coming week and it’s also pancake day, but other than that I’m going to really try really hard to be really good!

A new ‘lowest weight since joining the thread’ in the Pies Sty this morning. I feel I am getting somewhere!

Off to a Body Pump class.

Happy Monday Oinksters, the weekend of cupboards full of Eastern Promise and pub lunch menus is behind us! Onwards. We can do it!

EyesOnThePies · 20/02/2023 08:35

Oh. I forgot about pancake day.

But hey, they are very flat and thin, nothing like cake, not at all, and in our house come with fresh orange juice so 1 of 5 a day.

TheZeppo · 20/02/2023 08:39

Oinks hello!

I am definitely a lazy piggy. This little piggy is on half term right now, so doing my very best not to go crazy.

SW: 176lbs (1st Jan)
CW: 164.4lbs (PMT means I’ve been stuck here all week. But, hey, not gaining!)
GW: 140lbs

Off to the market with some other piggys (the pub) and likely to weeee weeeee weeeee all the way home 🤣

Pancakes are basically air, is that what you're saying?

Thislittlepiggylikeschocolate · 20/02/2023 14:44

Weighing in at 10:13 so this is my start weight.
GW 8:13....hoping this is not too optomistic!
Good luck all x

Inchstonesbeatmilestones · 20/02/2023 15:33

Does anyone have those days where they just want to be thin right now, as in click your fingers and tadaaa, slinky piggy!
Instead I'm masquerading as the long lost love child of the Stay Puft Man and Mr Blobby.

This post's probably inspired by the fact I've not left my desk today and feel like a lazy blob,( just having one of those days today 🤣). Long walk after work for me.

This is BRILLIANT news, I can’t wait for tomorrow!

Back on the wagon today.

B - Greek yoghurt, raspberries, blueberries, seeds, granola (oops!) and honey.

L - 3 crackers, 4 radishes, a beetroot, slice of ham, some walnuts, half a red pepper and a pear.

D - chicken and leek pie and mash ( cooking for the family 🙄)

Snacks - 2 rich teas and slice of apricot tart with crème frâiche.........once a piggy, always a piggy.

LazyPig · 21/02/2023 09:26

@Mañanarama @EyesOnThePies - after the terrifying suggestion on here that all eggs had mysteriously vanished from all supermarket shelves overnight, I just bought two dozen eggs, about 18 pints of whole milk and a kilo of flour.

Why I seemed to think it was a good idea to invite all DC mates over too, who knows... thankfully I have enough ingredients to ensure multitudinous circles of air.

SparklyThrow · 21/02/2023 09:36

I haven't posted since the early stages of this thread, but inspired by @Mañanarama I have lost 9lb, which means my bmi is at the top end of healthy.

I have basically quit wine, and have half a pizza on Friday night instead of the whole thing. The rest of the time I just eat a shed load of veg and protein. And chocolate covered nuts.

Mañanarama · 21/02/2023 10:31

Well done @SparklyThrow thats brilliant!

I’m still 7lbs down but have been in the 10.4’s for nearly a fortnight now, really wanna see that 3!

I seem to stick at the same weight for ages, them suddenly plummet a few pounds. I need to stop weighing myself daily I think Grin

whatausername · 21/02/2023 11:06

Just posting to keep in with my drove. Got an assessment today. Trying to drink tea instead of snacking as I study. At this point, I no longer snore as I sleep, rather I delicately snort and snuffle.

HamFrancisco · 21/02/2023 12:22

Hope everyone is having a lovely pancake day (Jesus was always trim, an example for us all there).

I've been a bit wayward with the food these past few days, so I'm going to give it a few more before I get on the scales again. I have been doing a bit of brisk walking though, so I'm not entirely a lost cause.

Mañanarama · 21/02/2023 13:20

”Jesus was always trim”

To be fair so would I be, if my hands were nailed to a cross

🤣 I'd probably still find a way to snuffle.

I can throw you Ferrero Rocher and you can catch them in your gob, I’ll even unwrap them for you first 😍

@Mañanarama a women after my own heart 🐽

EyesOnThePies · 21/02/2023 20:39

Manna from heaven is made from angel breath and good deeds. (Much like pancakes). V low calorie. Jesus didn’t always eat loaves and fishes. And when he did he shared with 5000 mates, which is the ultimate portion control.

I am at a new lowest weight since joining the thread and have been too lazy to make pancakes given that the chief clamourers are out.

EyesOnThePies · 21/02/2023 20:41

However, I am having wine, which Jesus was known to drink, so
must be OK. And I am not even having a side of fatted calf.

EyesOnThePies · 22/02/2023 11:11

Me again, squeal, squeal, squeal!

Having felt 'stuck' for ages and not knowing why I wasn't losing weight faster , I am now dropping noticeably. At 1lb a week, not half a lb a week.

Keep going through the plateaux , piggy wigs! It pays off in the end!

Yesterday:

Modest bowl of porridge with smugberries

Chicken soup (containing actual chicken) with two small slices of leftover naan, green salad

Some slivers of cheese

A small packet of crisps (129 cals)

Baked potato with creamed spinach (actually it was greek yog), small amount of butter, slivers of cheese

Small bowl of Oat Crisp cereal (the sort that is little hollow square cushions of FRESH AIR) with semi skimmed milk

A glass of red wine.

I will have a more protein-orientated dinner tonight, maybe salmon and a Tom-Yum noodley soup - I might squander my red pepper which I gather is in very short supply atm due to Spanish floods.

Causes of plateaux (how like a lovely French beach does that sound? bikinis at the ready!) : Heavy Air. Cold Scales. Hot Scales. Hormoney Shit. etc. It all passes.
