Lazy pig seeks other lazy pigs to lose 1lb a week.

Ok, this starts on Monday, as I have a steak pie and mash and yorkies to eat tomorrow. Will also heroically finish the Christmas chocolate so it’s out of the house. Once that’s all achieved, I’m good to go.

I need and must lose at least one pound a week until April. That’s about a stone.

Shouldn’t be too hard, right? Wrong. I’m basically fucking lazy, I hate exercise, hate going out in bad weather and am a total gluttonous food guzzling pig. And probably peri menopausal. And I sit at a desk all day. And a million other pathetic excuses why I’ve not shifted this weight in 2022 like I said I would.

I can’t be the only one who’s got sod all willpower, so who’s up to being fully accountable to this thread?

Lazy pigs like me especially welcome. Weigh in Monday morning.

I've had no victories of any kind but you know, I was thinking about it this morning, and my time since Christmas has been a lot. I've started a new course, a mass redundancy in work got rid of the whole department I was working in so I've started a new job, we've had Mum's birthday, husband's birthday, valentine's day and a couple of unrelated parties where we were overdue having people over.

I've a clear run ahead of me now for a bit, the hard part of the year is done, we're all in one piece, onwards and downwards!

Don't lose heart, piggies! It's a marathon (other nut based chocolate bars are available) not a sprint.

Sprint sounds like the name of a chocolate bar. Wonder what it would be like...

I’ve truly fallen off the pig bus and can’t stop eating. Today I’m going back to just protein all day and no big tea or pudding. Meh.

Turns out the “no big tea or pudding” was a lie. I’d done so well all day too. Bugger!

But think how much worse it would have been if you'd not done well in the day .

This is true! Today is a new day…

Everyone else doing ok?

One big bowl of pasta, two slabs of garlic bread and three bourbons later and my size 14s feel snug again.

Getting slim is not fun.
I’m having a sulk.
Send chocolate.

Main thing is to keep going ,not think sod it and give up .
In fact just by posting you're doing brilliantly.

We must keep our spirits up and not get sad as that ends in comfort eating .

I've taken to eating nuts and cheese because I figure they are healthier than chocolate, cake and biscuits .
I don't think that my figure figures it though .

Your skin will thank you, even if your arse doesn't see it the same way.

Morning Oinksters!

I have been away from the sty for a while, had to go and stay with family, had less control over my diet, no scales, too chicken to weigh when I got back..,

But hey! Today I have a new “lowest weight since joining the thread”!

OK, it’s a pathetic 1Kg loss so slower than I planned, but the direction is a leaner me!

Mananarama: Don’t beat yourself up, don’t give up just because you slipped into the trough. It’s the Piggie Law!

EyesOnThePies · 17/02/2023 09:15

Amberdover: I think it helps because it helps to break the sugar craving.

A bag of walnuts in the cupboard is saying “I’m here when you need me, and by the way I am full of healthy fats…blah blah” in an earnest tone, while a bag of Mini Eggs shrieks “I’m heeeeeere! Come and find meeeeee! “ to a loud disco beat.

HamFrancisco · 17/02/2023 14:58

The chocolate Hobnobs have been bellowing "over here you greedy mare!" through a loud hailer to the accompaniment of Ride on Time. Fuckers.

Carouselfish · 18/02/2023 12:05

Crikey, dropped half a stone over two weeks. That's with cheat day on Saturday where I say eff the calorie counter and with not being consistent with exercise. Really, Ive just been drinking tons and eating from 9am to 7pm so no night snacking. Oat milk instead of cows and healthier choices generally. Only bit that's been awful has been raw carrot. Hate it. Have to have grapes at same time to cope. Am kind of treating it as a personal war of rage against my bastarding gut biome (since IT makes the cravings, not me...).
Anyway, nearly fell off the scales in shock. Expect a plateau later on but wooohooo!

Carouselfish · 18/02/2023 12:07

Stamedes to the mars ice creams

Dear Pigs

I'm losing the will to Pig. Honestly yes I'm losing weight (15st1 Jan 10, 13st7 this morning) which is essentially the goal here but I'm in turmoil because the Turkish Delight keeps winking at me from the cupboard.

Just about to go to Tesco to see if there's anything apart from Pink Lady Apples which I can eat without putting carbs / sugar into my system. What I want is Turkish Delight and ALL the Pringles.

LazyPig

PS I'm still allowing myself to be called LP as I'm so fricking exhausted from eating bloody salad, there's no bleeding way I can exercise.

BaconAndAvocado · 18/02/2023 17:55

Well done to all piggy losers!
Had a week away involving pub lunches and thousands of biscuits but LOTS of walking so I’ve only put on 0.25lb.

Back on it on Monday....

LazyPig · 18/02/2023 18:45

Why is it that when dieting the only programs appearing on TV are food related? Bastards. harrumph

StephanieSuperpowers · 18/02/2023 21:13

I got a snazzy new smartwatch. You wouldn't believe my body fat. It's surprising and unsurprising. I mean, I didn't think it would be low...

whatausername · 18/02/2023 21:49

Can I take a month off? 😬Got exams and there is nothing left in the tank for monitoring eating and marshalling willpower. Yeah, I'll take a couple of weeks easy at least.

BookWorm45 · 19/02/2023 09:36

Oh dear it seems I have been oinking in my sty "Feed me ! Feed me" whereas the true message should have been "I've had enough to eat for now..."

No substantial loss and not helped by half term week. Time for a "sort my piggy life out" change I think.

(On the bright side, not gained either.....)

Mañanarama · 19/02/2023 10:47

RIGHT, PIGS. It’s time. Time to get a bloody piggle on and stop troughing.

@whatausername you’re exempt but most of the rest of us need a kick up the arse with a steel toed trotter. We’re going to be really good all week, yes? YES?

Monday…

Can I join?! I have changed my user name especially!
I've just hit 11 stone, which isn't great for 5 foot 1...none of my clothes fit and I feel such a blob, and not at all full of life x

Inchstonesbeatmilestones · 19/02/2023 12:11

@Mañanarama the kick up the backside is just what I need. Been half term here and the youngest who has special needs, does not cope well. Needless to say, I've needed wine!

Will try harder next week.

Mañanarama · 19/02/2023 12:52

Welcome @Thislittlepiggylikeschocolate Of course you can join! We need to get on the 1lb a week trajectory, pronto… spring is coming…

OP posts:
HamFrancisco · 19/02/2023 14:09

Spring?! A pound a week would see me at target at about Christmas time! That said, a pound a week is what I’m managing, somehow just don’t have it in me to do more.

You could be mé! Same profile...

My snazzy new watch gives me my BMR. 1200 calories. 1200 calories to stay the pigging same. No wonder I'm struggling to lose.
