Lazy pig seeks other lazy pigs to lose 1lb a week.

Ok, this starts on Monday, as I have a steak pie and mash and yorkies to eat tomorrow. Will also heroically finish the Christmas chocolate so it’s out of the house. Once that’s all achieved, I’m good to go.

I need and must lose at least one pound a week until April. That’s about a stone.

Shouldn’t be too hard, right? Wrong. I’m basically fucking lazy, I hate exercise, hate going out in bad weather and am a total gluttonous food guzzling pig. And probably peri menopausal. And I sit at a desk all day. And a million other pathetic excuses why I’ve not shifted this weight in 2022 like I said I would.

I can’t be the only one who’s got sod all willpower, so who’s up to being fully accountable to this thread?

Lazy pigs like me especially welcome. Weigh in Monday morning.

Yep, I need to try harder next week. Determined to get under 10 in the next couple of weeks!

However, I made cheese on toast earlier as a light tea, but used a block of cheese about as big as my head. It was deliciously cheesy.

Well, a month in, and no change - 1lb up, 1lb down. Something isn't working in my pigsty !

SallySunrise · 05/02/2023 09:16

Good morning! It's been a while since i checked in. Just weighed myself and I've somehow lost half a stone this month.

I say somehow because I've eaten appropriately 3 vegetables all month. Utter carby blandness the rest of the time. Though less of it, due to the crippling IBS flare up I've been having. Stomach cramps comparable to early labour at one point.

So there you have it, just develop a digestive system that protests to most tasty food and you too can lose weight fast!

Just another 4 stone to go.

BazingaBaby · 05/02/2023 09:40

@SallySunrise hope the IBS has calmed now!

Well done all! Keep going!

Lost just under 1lb this week but that puts my loss at 8.5lb since the 9th January so I'll take that. Trying to be extra good food wise as I've injured my knee so can't cycle to and from work or run so exercise is limited for now.

@BookWorm45 You never know, in previous cold winter months with the leftovers if Christmas still in your cupboards, you might have GAINED weight. Not putting on more weight is always a win!

And you know your ‘maintain’ level of eating now! What snack or meal could you de-piggiefy for a while?

Some fantastic success here in the sty!

I am back to my ‘new lowest weight since starting’ after a two-meals-out Friday.

HOW Will I make it through the Happy Valley finale without wine?
Maybe adrenaline will boost my metabolism and lead to the 1Kg loss that will put me back on track for my originally planned timeline!

I will need wine and Twiglets to get me through the Happy Valley finale. I will be a very happy pig unless they kill off our girl. They better not!!

Twiglets for Piglets!

(I want Twiglets now! are they high calorie? Won’t they make me thirsty and then I will want a litre of Coke? If I go to the corner shop for Twiglets Will I be ambushed by a Twirl ? )

Twiglets are relatively healthy - 100 calories a packet or thereabouts. But I don't hold that against them.

I consider a Twirl a diet food because I can eat one stick and feel happy. Then eat the second stick later and it feels like I've had two chocolate bars.

EyesOnThePies · 05/02/2023 11:33

Twirl bars, in their favour, do have a lot of fresh air inside them.

As do Crunchies. And Aero. And Flake….

Is that what people are referring to when they advise you to go out & get some fresh air?

EyesOnThePies · 05/02/2023 14:28

Almost certainly, Twiglets.
And what a lovely day it is!

BaconAndAvocado · 05/02/2023 16:55

Mañanarama sub 10st is my goal too this week.
Tucking into first hot cross bun of the season, god it’s good.

Just subscribed to a monthly healthy snack box for DH’s birthday (fellow oinkster).
First one arrived yesterday.......on close inspection, snack box is definitely not sty-friendly.

What’s in the box?!

I dipped below 10.5 again today but have pigged out a bit since on a full Sunday dinner (roast pork 🐷) and some chocolate rice crispy cakes.

Just made a cuppa ready for Happy Valley........to be accompanied by a crème egg.

Mañanarama · 06/02/2023 08:56

Morning my pretty piggies, it’s my weigh in day. Almost half a stone in four weeks.

9th Jan - 10.11.4
16th Jan - 10.9.6
23rd Jan - 10.6.6
30th Jan - 10.6.2
6th Feb - 10.4.6

Would really like to see a 3 on my scales by the end of this week!

HamFrancisco · 06/02/2023 09:52

Brilliant work @Mañanarama ! I'm a teeny bit lower on the scales, have now lost 5lb since NYD. Every time I get on, Peter Kaye's voice is in my head, "A pound?! A shit a pound!". 😁

HamFrancisco · 06/02/2023 09:53

Mr Ham was tacitly dismissive, he thinks a pound a week isn't very much, I can tell. Well, the laugh will be on him in 25 years time, when I'm down a dress size.

Mañanarama · 06/02/2023 09:58

Well done, Hammy! A pound a week off is better than a pound a week on, which is the direction we were heading in before LPC!

Who have we still got on the slowly slowly plan? Anyone else want to post their 4 week progress?

DietQueen2023 · 06/02/2023 12:13

12 stone 3 I mean!

BigMacExtraPickles · 06/02/2023 12:36

Bit late to the party here but I couldn't be arsed to diet in Jan this year! Not sure why.

Started on some pills to lift my mood that have sent my appetite into bloody OVERDRIVE. Gained 4bs in my first week on them so here I gooooo.

Also have about a stone to shift.

Hope everyone is doing well and smashing their goals 💪
