Lazy pig seeks other lazy pigs to lose 1lb a week.

Ok, this starts on Monday, as I have a steak pie and mash and yorkies to eat tomorrow. Will also heroically finish the Christmas chocolate so it’s out of the house. Once that’s all achieved, I’m good to go.

I need and must lose at least one pound a week until April. That’s about a stone.

Shouldn’t be too hard, right? Wrong. I’m basically fucking lazy, I hate exercise, hate going out in bad weather and am a total gluttonous food guzzling pig. And probably peri menopausal. And I sit at a desk all day. And a million other pathetic excuses why I’ve not shifted this weight in 2022 like I said I would.

I can’t be the only one who’s got sod all willpower, so who’s up to being fully accountable to this thread?

Lazy pigs like me especially welcome. Weigh in Monday morning.

I am seriously chuffed, I really am. I was 16st in September. I'm still breastfeeding my 14 month old, and I have days where my motivation wanes, but my mentality is that if I see results, fast, I keep going. I would love to think I might consider wearing a swimming costume this summer!

You should be very proud of yourself! You can have this weeks special Golden Pig

Oh my @Mañanarama - I need to write a speech consults Kate Winslet

vicaragechristmas · 30/01/2023 11:08

Hello everyone, well done to the weight losers! I’ve gained 3lb so I’m doing great (sarcasm)!

Sadly I’m having a ME flare up so I can’t exercise and have stopped calorie counting as it is too much effort atm, but I’m just focussing on eating as well as I can and resting as much as possible. Bloody sucks tbh.

Mouse update: vestry mouse has robbed both traps of snacks and still not triggered them, and has moved on to the trolley we take out to give out hot drinks on a Friday night and robbed their biscuit store. Maybe it is me after all?

whatausername · 30/01/2023 11:58

@vicaragechristmas i was wondering where you were so thanks for the update! Sorry to hear your health isn't great atm, hope the flare up flares down soon. The mouse is doing you a favour by eating some of the temptations :P

Undisclosedlocation · 30/01/2023 13:16

Hi everyone. Well done to all those losing - especially @LazyPig, that’s an amazing accomplishment!
I fell off the wagon this week totally but somehow you lot must have been dragging me along behind because I lost a pound anyway. Perhaps I need to patent my ‘don’t give a toss and eat what you like’ diet? I’m fairly certain it would be popular 😁

HamFrancisco · 30/01/2023 14:24

Good grief, @LazyPig , you're in danger of getting chucked out of the sty at this rate! You're like one of those proper dieters from the other threads. Well done. 💪
@Undisclosedlocation , sign me up for your first Don't Give A Toss diet workshop, the results are clearly spectacular.

whatausername · 30/01/2023 15:48

Some idiot brought creme eggs and caramel eggs into the house! A bigger idiot may have opened them...

BaconAndAvocado · 30/01/2023 18:07

Well done Piggy Losers 😁
After my 4lb loss last Friday, I truly made up for it over the weekend with chocolate, roast lamb dinner, chocolate cake and biscuits aplenty. Shameful troughing but oh so enjoyable nonetheless.
Back on it today.
Greek yoghurt, berries, seeds, honey and (oops) granola for brekkie.
Half mackerel, 3 crackers, some radishes and tomatoes and a pear for lunch.
Green Thai curry and rice for dinner.
Haven't succumbed to any naughties yet but there’s still time.

Mañanarama · 30/01/2023 18:23

I’ve only eaten ham, pastrami and a pack of 73cal crisps today, a ham cheese & spinach omelette for tea, a small pancake with lemon and sugar for pud (left over from yesterdays yorkies, waste not want not). Not ideal but at least not shitloads of carbs.

Really hoping that creme egg idiot is heading my way…

Well I've discovered the upside of having the lurgy. Not eaten much at all today, just soup for lunch and a piece of toast this evening as really not felt like it ( I know, a bloody miracle!)

Plus, all the involuntary shivering MUST be burning some extra calories. ( See, glass half full 😉)

Octopus45 · 31/01/2023 09:06

@Inchstonesbeatmilestones hope you feel better soon. Went out for dinner last night with a friend so was in full trough mode, had fish and chips and then treacle sponge and custard, as well as the obligatory Harvesters salad.

EyesOnThePies · 31/01/2023 11:55

I am back to 'the lowest weight I have been since starting this thread'.

So looking to make good progress until a meal out of Fri night.

I really wonder why restaurant calorie levels have to be SO high compared to the same dish made at home. They slather in the butter and oil, don't they?

I am 800g behind my (roughly....no pressure, right?) targeted weight for this week, but 800g down on my starting weight. Which is fine. I am actually within the 'healthy weight' zone of That Graph, just not as far to the left as I was last year. So it's vanity, not enough ££ to buy new clothes.

@vicaragechristmas so sorry about your ME flare up. Stay here though, because here the message is look after yourself with healthy eating (give or take) which will help you feel good about yourself when you are feeling better.

Mañanarama · 31/01/2023 19:19

Pigs, I’m sad. Just been to the supermarket and there were so many nice carby things like fresh bread and pasties and biscuits and chocolate. I was very good and refrained (aside from a small bar of Lindt) but I remembered how nice it was not to give a shit.

Soink (sad oink)

OP posts:
EyesOnThePies · 31/01/2023 19:36

awww, Mañanarana , don’t be sad! Once we are lard-free we will be able to add a pastie or* a hunk of fresh crusty bread, or a bar of Choc… I have my eyes on a hot cross bun dripping with butter… back into our daily trough.

  • NB the ‘or’.
BaconAndAvocado · 31/01/2023 21:09

🤣Loving soink!

HamFrancisco · 01/02/2023 07:03

Sending a consoling pat to the sad piggy.

I was reading a thread yesterday from a poster who was feeling very overweight at something like 8 and a half stone, and it made me sad thinking about the sheer deprivation I'd feel trying to achieve that weight. If I get to 11 stone I'll feel like a whippet.

I've lost a teeny bit more, 4.4lb down since NYD.

Same, I'd be delighted with some of the starting weights as my target weight! All relative though, I guess.

I've had a quite productive morning sans school run, 60 mins cardio plus a 30 min dog walk, so fingers crossed I can be good with eating today so I don't lose the benefit!

amberedover · 01/02/2023 08:52

@vicaragechristmas sorry about the ME .I have a friend with this and know how dreadful it is .
At least you have this lovely thread and the naughty mice to keep you company .

vicaragechristmas · 01/02/2023 09:01

Soink from me too. I’ve made it to work but I feel like shit and I don’t even want to eat. Bleh.

See you piggies when I’m feeling better!

amberedover · 01/02/2023 09:29

Don't want to derail but @vicaragechristmas you know very well that you should not be at work !

Back to your stye and snuggle down .

vicaragechristmas · 01/02/2023 09:31

Yep, I know, but I’ve had so much time off for illness over the past year that I feel I have to be here!

At the moment all I’m doing is going to work and cooking dinner for the family, everything else is down to the Revd to sort - he’s super at everything else but crap at cooking 😆

Tbf if he took over the cooking for a bit you might hit your target without trying...

Joking! Look after your body as best you can and give it what it needs. Hope you feel better soon

Mañanarama · 01/02/2023 18:29

Big bowl of spaghetti bolognaise for tea with cheesy sourdough garlic bread. I’m stuffed but happier. This is, of course, not great news…

Sorry you’re feeling rough @vicaragechristmas hope you start to recover soon.

Sensible eating all day. Then someone went out for milk and brought me back a big bar of caramel chocolate and a big bar of another chocolate. I have had two rows of one and now must stop. Fellow oinksters, please offer me encouraging words!
