Lazy pig seeks other lazy pigs to lose 1lb a week.

Ok, this starts on Monday, as I have a steak pie and mash and yorkies to eat tomorrow. Will also heroically finish the Christmas chocolate so it’s out of the house. Once that’s all achieved, I’m good to go.

I need and must lose at least one pound a week until April. That’s about a stone.

Shouldn’t be too hard, right? Wrong. I’m basically fucking lazy, I hate exercise, hate going out in bad weather and am a total gluttonous food guzzling pig. And probably peri menopausal. And I sit at a desk all day. And a million other pathetic excuses why I’ve not shifted this weight in 2022 like I said I would.

I can’t be the only one who’s got sod all willpower, so who’s up to being fully accountable to this thread?

Lazy pigs like me especially welcome. Weigh in Monday morning.

Well done you two and everyone!!

I’ve gone below the magic 10st 5 today so super pleased about that but having a takeaway tonight and then to friends for drinks.

I bloody love shortbread. F&M shortbread sounds amazing! Hope you’re feeling better soon, Octopus. Obviously it’s swine flu.

Keep going piggies, we’re doing so well!

Well done @Mañanarama and everyone else! I'm dreading weigh in tomorrow as I've had several slip ups this week and then DP suggested we have dominoes pizza for dinner last night and how could I say no! I'm usually the one to decide on and sort dinner so when he wants to do it I can't possibly stop him Grin. So I'm hoping for a maintain at least..

That shortbread looks divine btw! But so expensive!

DietQueen2023 · 28/01/2023 23:14

I just read the OP and burst out laughing. This sounds like my kinda thread!

Can I please join the piggies?!

I need to lose 2.5 stone at least. I’m 12 stone 6 😭

HamFrancisco · 29/01/2023 09:18

Braved the scales, have put a teeny bit back on, but my loss since NYD is 4lb, so I suppose that’s a lb a week. Ish.

TheDogsMother · 29/01/2023 09:25

Morning Piglets. It looks like there have been some serious challenges thrown at us all this week. I would have crumbled (excuse the pun) in the face of shortbread and certainly caved in to the pizza too. 1.5 lb off for me so back into a stones bracket I haven't see for quite a while. I've knocked weekday booze on the head which is dull but seems to be helping.

Mañanarama · 29/01/2023 10:55

Morning all and welcome @DietQueen2023 , hope you’ve read through some of our super useful tips!

But waahhhh I’ve put on 1.5lbs since yesterday! I had a small steak pie for lunch, a curry and rice for tea, and a few shots of Hotel Chocolat mint velvet last night, and a cookie. Sad piggy.

Oh no! The piggies are not meant to be sad. Focus on your overall position of downward trajectory (the Downward Pig) and all will be well.

Twasn’t me I’m afraid! I’ve been around on and off for 15 years ish (various usernames) but more a lurker than a poster. Never heard of skinny tea. See if you can find the thread!

Hamaste!! Love that.

Weigh day shows 1.7lb off this week so am feeling less bad about the slip ups and will definitely keep cycling to work (totes worth it for pizza and a couple treats!).

What's for dinner today piggies? We've got roast beef and I cannot wait!

DiggingMeAHole · 29/01/2023 20:09

Ooh roast beef sounds good!

We had greek style gyros- greek style flatbreads with pulled pork, stir fried veg, chips and various sauces.

I'm trying not to make it obvious to the kids I'm dieting, so I did have meat veg, flatbread and a few chips, but didn't have any vienetta Sad

Now I want roast beef.
Out with friend yesterday so WineWineWine
Dreading weigh in tomrow

Mañanarama · 29/01/2023 20:11

Ooh gyros sounds good too!

I’ve given up for today and had some bourbons and will probably have more. Teenager With Attitude is making me stress eat. Tomorrow is a new week.

We had an almost Xmas dinner for tea, including pigs in blankets and sprouts. Yum.

Yesterday, big pub lunch, lots of wine, gorgeous.

There was a country walk involved, but still!

Today:
Tiny breakfast, blueberries, small spoon of yogurt, spoon of oat bran.

Bowl of chicken soup, 1 slice of toast, ‘zingy slaw’

Mug of ginger tea, 1 Nairns oat ginger biscuit

1 thin crisp bread, sliver of cheese, couple of gherkins

1 baked potato with spinach and a baked egg on top, thin dusting of Parmesan.

Water. No damn wine. I have wine, but Will Not Open It!

How will it be watching Happy Valley without a nice glass of wine? Waah!

DietQueen2023 · 30/01/2023 07:43

I need to catch up on the whole thread. Yesterday was a goodish day. No exercise as I was working. Big breakfast, tiny lunch and a hearty dinner.

Scales say 12 4 this morning so that’s 2lbs lost since Xmas.

Inchstonesbeatmilestones · 30/01/2023 07:48

Morning all,

I want to climb back into my sty as woke up with a horrible cold. Instead I'm sat at my desk trying to concentrate. Working from home today so will try not to slip headfirst into the fridge.

I didn't weigh on Friday so at some point I need to do that too!

ACurlyWurlyTail · 30/01/2023 08:26

Well as of yesterday morning I had lost 2lbs but then spent the day lounging and scoffed 2 portions of roast dinner.....it was amazing! scales now say 15.2 but I am hoping that once that roast is digested it will flutter down a little. However, that means I am still on track at 1lb lost this week. I gave myself the 1lb a week target which means to stay on track I have to shift 1.5 each week for the next 2 weeks but I am not going to let myself get stressed about it.

thankful that its not as cold today, is it time to give up being a pig in blanket

Hameste!!

Still going down @Mañanarama ! You are doing amazingly!

Colinthedaxi · 30/01/2023 09:13

3lb down since the 2/1/2023, was very good over the weekend though (apart from copious alcohol on Friday night, hellish hangover Saturday should stop me rushing to do it again!!) I feel better (and slightly slimmer) so plodding onwards. My problem is during the week, bored WFH and too close to the biscuits 🍪
