Lazy pig seeks other lazy pigs to lose 1lb a week.

Ok, this starts on Monday, as I have a steak pie and mash and yorkies to eat tomorrow. Will also heroically finish the Christmas chocolate so it’s out of the house. Once that’s all achieved, I’m good to go.

I need and must lose at least one pound a week until April. That’s about a stone.

Shouldn’t be too hard, right? Wrong. I’m basically fucking lazy, I hate exercise, hate going out in bad weather and am a total gluttonous food guzzling pig. And probably peri menopausal. And I sit at a desk all day. And a million other pathetic excuses why I’ve not shifted this weight in 2022 like I said I would.

I can’t be the only one who’s got sod all willpower, so who’s up to being fully accountable to this thread?

Lazy pigs like me especially welcome. Weigh in Monday morning.

I'm here! Work horror has continued, so today I'm already down a pastry and a box of chocolate fingers.

Welcome @ACurlyWurlyTail !

I was reading something earlier on about using injected diabetes medication to lose weight and how it can result in very rapid weight loss. Seemingly, cosmetic injectables are becoming popular now with this crowd because that kind of rapid and sudden loss puts your face clocks forward. Piggies, we're getting this right with the very slow and steady approach. Anyone can get fillers, I have had them in the past myself, but it is just feels like such as self defeating lifestyle in the round, cycling between medication that isn't medically indicated, rapid weightloss, trips to the injectablorium to repair the results...when do you get to live?

HamFrancisco · 26/01/2023 14:53

I'd inject anthrax if I could be thin AND eat whatever I liked. Grin

StephanieSuperpowers · 26/01/2023 14:56

In truth, I probably would myself but I was just reading this about women in their fifties and I was thinking, do they ever get to just relax and have some fun? Caring that much about your looks that you spend your life going from appointment to appointment must be exhausting.

Not to mention the side effects of the medication, which sound unpleasant.

I had transplant education this week. One of the experiences we heard about was a woman who used a herbal slimming "remedy", her liver was wrecked and she died after the 3rd liver transplant. Slowly slowly don't get sad is definitely the right way!

Sleepwalkingintothewall · 26/01/2023 19:22

Slowly is the way. I had to go on an extreme diet when breastfeeding my DC, I lost 4 stone quite quickly and aged about 20 years.

Having said that I've put a fair amount back on now and now need to lose it and not doing well as just eating chocolate every night. Need to get back on track!

BaconAndAvocado · 26/01/2023 19:53

Greetings Piglets!
Day 4 of the new regime and it’s the weigh-in tomorrow morning (first thing, after a pee and naked. It’s the ONLY way to weigh yourself).

Willpower not been too bad. I’ve actioned in a couple of snacks each day to accommodate my sugar addiction. I even bought a pack of 5 M and S milk chocolate cookies (aka orgasms in biscuit form) and I’m still managing to avoid them 6 hours later. 😇

MrsDoyle351 · 27/01/2023 07:16

hiya piggies!

1lb weight loss this week - so definitely qualify for the slow part

BaconAndAvocado · 27/01/2023 07:49

Blimey oh Riley, I’ve lost 4lb!
Shows how much crap I was eating.
Looking forward to my M and S cookie 😃

Inastatus · 27/01/2023 08:36

Morning sty mates. I weighed in this morning - 0.2 lb off. Actually not bad considering, trotter on heart, I haven’t really tried too hard this week.
@MrsDoyle351 - I’m also embracing the ‘slow not sad’ philosophy.
@BaconAndAvocado - 4lb!! Well done and all but you need to slow it down or you might not be welcome on here 😅

Inastatus · 27/01/2023 08:49

Thinking about it I haven’t tried at all this week …

SuzyQ12 · 27/01/2023 08:51

Well, I've certainly got the taking it slowly down to a tee - half a pound off for the whole of January so far! Not unexpected to put on this week after extended birthday celebrations for DH, back to healthy troughing next week - onwards and downwards!

BaconAndAvocado · 27/01/2023 08:59

Inastatus It will definitely slow down next week.
Sadly, I’ve been in this position soooo many times and have always ended up back at original weight, then original weight is higher.
Would love just to find a way of being the weight I want to be and stay there....... one can dream.
Tucking into 2 crumpets with butter and jam....It’s Fuck it Friday!,

HamFrancisco · 27/01/2023 11:02

Morning, trotter pals. I'm still avoiding the scales, but well done to those who are down various amounts. Snort!

LazyPig · 27/01/2023 16:16

Is a kebab keto?

Asking for a friend.....

Must be, but have some ketchup or kale with it just to be sure. Or a KitKat.

StephanieSuperpowers · 27/01/2023 16:27

Yeah, kebab is just a contraction of ketobab, isn't it? That's what I heard.

LazyPig · 27/01/2023 16:32

Ketobab - the work of genius @StephanieSuperpowers!

@Mañanarama definitely sounds like a K day. Kebab, KitKat, Kahlua....

poshme · 27/01/2023 16:38

Hello fellow piggies!

I found some old weights you can wear (1kg each). I have lost exactly 2kg of my own body weight so far.

The weights are so heavy!

I have decided to attach them to my belt when I'm at home. I figured it's more weight to carry, so every movement uses more calories.

DH thinks I'm going crazy.

Was doing really well yesterday then by mistake drank a bottle of wine.

Readytostartagain · 27/01/2023 17:07

Want to join in please. Lots to lose but menopausal and greedy which is not the best combination for a new lithe me. Just got to eat all the treats tonight and will weigh in tomorrow. Always feel disheartened on other threads but people living off celery and lettuce leaves do feel this thread may be more up my street

poshme · 27/01/2023 17:33

Welcome @Readytostartagain

I like celery and lettuce, but I like wine more...

LazyPig · 27/01/2023 18:16

@poshme did you slip and fall on to the bottle of wine? If so you should remember that wine related injuries are calorie free.

EyesOnThePies · 28/01/2023 09:32

Morning Oinksters!

This morning I weigh the lowest I have since I joined this thread. I am not keeping up with the downward slope I tentatively plotted, but downwards at any gradient is better than not downward.

I need to better manage what happens when I go out. This week we all went to the pub after a community campaign meeting: 2 pints. I had to visit a relative, who insisted I accept her massive tin of Fortnum and Mason shortbread that she had been given but wants to watch her weight. Why didn’t I take it straight to the food bank? She also kept my wine glass filled up, served nuts before dinner etc.

Now I am meeting friends to celebrate one of their birthdays. I just looked at the menu, the calorie count of gastro-pub cooked food is sky high!

I am not giving up!!

EyesOnThePies · 28/01/2023 09:37

OMG, this is the F&M shortbread tin www.fortnumandmason.com/explorer-s-biscuit-selection-tin-500g

I have eaten £11 worth of priceless shortbread so far! I could have put the unopened tin on EBay and bought a whole field of celery!

At least my layer of flab is classy high quality flab. Proper artisan piggy pork, me.

Octopus45 · 28/01/2023 12:05

@EyesOnThePies the shortbread sounds yum

Half a pound down yesterday morning, still lurgied, is there such a thing as pig flu or mad pig disease? If so I have it. Ended up travelling up to London twice yesterday, once to for work and then again for work and to meet my DH who has been away for a couple of days. Had Chinese takeaway in Leicester Square. Unfortunately had a horrible coughing fit when I got home and the takeaway was no more. In my sty today feeling sorry for myself
