Ok, this starts on Monday, as I have a steak pie and mash and yorkies to eat tomorrow. Will also heroically finish the Christmas chocolate so it’s out of the house. Once that’s all achieved, I’m good to go.

I need and must lose at least one pound a week until April. That’s about a stone.

Shouldn’t be too hard, right? Wrong. I’m basically fucking lazy, I hate exercise, hate going out in bad weather and am a total gluttonous food guzzling pig. And probably peri menopausal. And I sit at a desk all day. And a million other pathetic excuses why I’ve not shifted this weight in 2022 like I said I would.

I can’t be the only one who’s got sod all willpower, so who’s up to being fully accountable to this thread?

Lazy pigs like me especially welcome. Weigh in Monday morning.

Aaaargh half a pound down at the beginning of the week & 2lb up today! & I've been good (ish) all week. Surely my scales must be broken???
Done a good walk the last 2 days & rationed the butter & cheese on my jacket spud tonight, I'm going to try the scales in a different spot tomorrow & see if I like that reading better!

Pizza. But i have a plan! Instead of biscuits, I'm going to try and eat olives. Or lives, as autocorrect prefers. Anyway, this is my plan and it's going great since I remembered after eating some biscuits and then switched.

Eat those with pure lives, as their souls will be lighter. Don't want weighty ones.

Sadly my great success was ruined by hormones (well I hope it's that) with 2lb back on as period arrived.

Hoping it'll disappear again quickly.

This week has been a bit of a failure though. 🍷🍷 though not many biscuits.

And no lives eaten or mice in house.

So depending on where I place my scales in the bathroom, I've either put on a pound, put on 8lb, lost 1lb or lost 6lb. 🤷 going to assume I've maintained this week and take a hammer to the scales.

Morning all,

I stayed the same today but eaten so much veg and feel bloated, so hope it's just that.

Any one else feel a bit deflated ( if only that was a description of my fat arse) when they stay the same. Makes me more determined though. All for slowly slowly but not for staying still.

Having soup for lunch as I'm bloody freezing. Someone left my home office window open all night so it was single figures in here first thing. Not sure about dinner yet, something with chicken I guess.

Had quite a good week, despite a takeaway midweek (SIL birthday).

My plan is slow, so aiming for 1lb a week, but don't ever feel hungry just fancy piggy boredom eating in the evenings.

10st 6.4 for me this morning, that’s 5lbs down since we started, I’m honestly amazed and it just proves to me that my night pigging was absolutely out of control. Going to bed hungry works!! I have done zero exercise in that time apart from those 3 days of squats, barely even left the house, so it was all just crappy food and late night eating habits makimg me pile it on!

Big walk tomorrow, followed by big pub meal out so may or may not lose any more over the weekend.

Well done to the gradually reducing piggies! I’m not weighing in till my period is done, but fortunately the emotional eating that has thrown off all my solid plans for self-care has stopped with the onset of AF so I'm back to smug smoothie, limited morning snack and a massive noodle salad for lunch - and more importantly, I’m feeling excited about eating well again!

This group has actually been seriously helpful for my mental health and attitude around calorie restriction/dietary change. Due to ADHD I can be a bit all or nothing and if there’s no change in my weight after portion control and more exercise (as has happened before) I get too disheartened to continue. But I think the attitude of slowly slowly don’t make yourself sad has actually really helped me in a way nothing has before and now I’m making decisions for me, to improve my health etc, and weight loss is less of a pressure. So thank you, @Mañanarama - what a brilliant idea and thread 😊

Awww thank you @vicaragechristmas it’s really helping me too! Just knowing I’m not the only lazy pig in the world is motivating in itself, even if it’s not full steam ahead motivation!! I knew I had to go slowly and keep it realistic, or I’d fail like all the other times.

This is exactly the same thing I'm going through! I don't know whether to get new scales, a new floor or just revel in the highest loss I can (while stuffing in an extra biscuit cos I've lost so much 😂)

I’m indulging in fuck it Friday as I had a very abstinent salad at lunch and I have a long day tomorrow and cannot be arsed with cooking, so we are having a takeaway. However, with calories plastered all over menus, I know how much I can eat before hitting my calorie limit, so I will save the rest of it for tomorrow 😊 or at least that’s the plan! 😂😂

FML, my nearly 18 year old has discovered coffee and he came home wired today, like he's completely off his face. Stressed me the hell out because he just wouldn't shut up 😂 I blame his grandad for giving him an espresso machine he didn't use, telling the boy to take it into work to perk everyone up!

I succumbed to takeaway tonight but had KFC Zinger rice box, only 490 calories! (I'll just polish my halo over here).

Teen now buggered off out, hot bath for me and then maybe vodka or two if I can stay awake that long. Busy busy week and I'm cream crackerd

Weighed yesterday morning and was down a bit, partly cause I've had a lurgy, resulting in me eating slightly less like a pig. For example, my idea of eating less is just having a burrito in Taco Bell rather than a meal deal, a saintly 391 calories lol
