Lazy pig seeks other lazy pigs to lose 1lb a week.

Ok, this starts on Monday, as I have a steak pie and mash and yorkies to eat tomorrow. Will also heroically finish the Christmas chocolate so it’s out of the house. Once that’s all achieved, I’m good to go.

I need and must lose at least one pound a week until April. That’s about a stone.

Shouldn’t be too hard, right? Wrong. I’m basically fucking lazy, I hate exercise, hate going out in bad weather and am a total gluttonous food guzzling pig. And probably peri menopausal. And I sit at a desk all day. And a million other pathetic excuses why I’ve not shifted this weight in 2022 like I said I would.

I can’t be the only one who’s got sod all willpower, so who’s up to being fully accountable to this thread?

Lazy pigs like me especially welcome. Weigh in Monday morning.

Had a hot chocolate at between trains as the stations are outdoors and I was very very cold. Foolishly forgot to check the weather and was underdressed for the weather. One of my toes won't move. I figure the body's need for a hot drink trumps any calories.

Think of all the calories you’ve shivered off and relish that hot choc!

Mañanarama · 17/01/2023 11:09

Starting the day being good again today. At least all the rum truffles have gone now, and I’m being very restrained with other sweet treats!

Everyone ok?

Well after a fortnight of twice as much exercise and a mere fraction of normal chocolate, cheese and alcohol consumption I am drumroll 1lb down 🤣

Apparently I need to try harder 😁

whatausername · 17/01/2023 15:03

I'm stressed enough to cry out 1lb of water, would that count?

JS1867 · 17/01/2023 16:30

Hey!

I also have absolutely 0 willpower so I'll also try my best to join in with this and not relapse into my habit of a friday night Chinese takeaway and a few too many cans of coke 🤣

Hurrah! You’re still 1lb down, go you!

I’m having another accidental hot chocolate but I did hit my step count so that justifies it, right?

@whatausername sending you suprtive

vicaragechristmas · 17/01/2023 16:53

@whatausername no I’m not, I’m sending you SUPPORTIVE hugs fml 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Evening all,

At the risk of oversharing, a warning to all about the perils consumption of lots of leafy greens!

Too much of a healthy/ good thing and feeling smug about it comes with consequences. I've been eating Bol pots for lunch for last few days and let's just say I'm now creating lots of renewable energy 💨😬🤣

Thought you'd all like to know. You're welcome 😂

StephanieSuperpowers · 17/01/2023 19:59

Thanks for the warning. I won't be making that mistake. For that reason and all the others.

whatausername · 17/01/2023 20:19

@Inchstonesbeatmilestones okay, I'll stick to caramel wafers and tiramisu to be safe. Thanks for the warning!

Inchstonesbeatmilestones · 17/01/2023 20:38

@whatausername great plan, much, much safer!

EyesOnThePies · 17/01/2023 20:47

Well done! Imagine 2 packs of butter shed from your middle!

And don’t knock it. After 2 weeks of the same restraint and frugality I am EXACTLY THE SAME WEIGHT AS I WAS. Waaah!

But I am carrying on. Regardless.

LazyPig · 17/01/2023 20:58

Realistically, how much of this 90% cocoa Lindt chocolate bar can I eat?

Realistically? All.

Realistically how little can you eat? Ermmm 20%?

Thank you.

I've never heard a vicarage wife swear before.
Disclaimer: my only reference is the vicar's wife in Keeping Up Appearances.

Although I have heard a trainee vicar swear, now I think about it

MKDmumofflash · 18/01/2023 08:15

Morning all! How is everyone doing? After my wetsuit exploits, I've reverted to sloth-like behaviour, seems safest in this weather.

Take care outside Fellow Piggies!

Mañanarama · 18/01/2023 08:17

10st 7.4 this morning so that’s a whole 4lbs since last Monday. I can’t quite believe it but fully appreciate it’s just my body resetting from the pigginess 🤣

Mañanarama amazing! Well done

Ebananascroogey · 18/01/2023 08:43

@Mañanarama well done!!
This morning I am finally half a pound down! Taken a week & a half to do it, I blame the cheeky 'weekday wine' that keeps sneaking in!!!

Had yoghurt for breakfast, felt like I'd had my starter & was waiting for the main, is it too early for lunch????

EyesOnThePies · 18/01/2023 08:53

Am finally 500g down on my starting weight on Mon 9th.

But still not trusting my scales as they showed 1Kg difference within about 10 seconds. But the 2 consistent readings. Would their performance be affected by temperature?

I am feeling fitter and a bit more toned having resumed my exercise routine that became sofa-based over Christmas.

We are getting leaner, Oinksters!

MillenialAvocado · 18/01/2023 08:58

I have found my people! I'm on board too... need to lose at least 2 stone this year before doing round 2 of IVF. I have an email scheduled to the IVF clinic to send on 30th November - that's the only thing that is motivating me 😂

HamFrancisco · 18/01/2023 11:19

Hey porksters. Some excellent weigh in results here, well done!

I'm thinking I may actually attempt to track calories. Yesterday I ate three weetabix, two pastries, two slices of bread and butter, a large bag of M&Ms, a packet of crisps and some cottage pie with asaparagus.
I think we can agree that breakfast and dinner were OK but the rest of the day was piggy carnage. Anyone else feel that their eating is absolutley mental? I'm living almost entirely on carbs, I need someone to stage an intervention!

Welcome! Hooray! What a very good reason to shift a couple of stones, and with our “slowly slowly don’t make yourself sad” plan you’ll do it!!

Pretty sure the answer is 90% per instructions on the packaging. Hope that helps!

Well done all! @HamFrancisco I’ve had to really cut the carbs. Yesterday I only ate meat, egg and cheese until teatime, then had pasta and a tiny piece of garlic bread. Three choc santas at night and that was it.

My breath is a bit stinky (and/or my mouth is permahungry) but apparently that’s normal when eating lots of protein?
