Lazy pig seeks other lazy pigs to lose 1lb a week.

Ok, this starts on Monday, as I have a steak pie and mash and yorkies to eat tomorrow. Will also heroically finish the Christmas chocolate so it’s out of the house. Once that’s all achieved, I’m good to go.

I need and must lose at least one pound a week until April. That’s about a stone.

Shouldn’t be too hard, right? Wrong. I’m basically fucking lazy, I hate exercise, hate going out in bad weather and am a total gluttonous food guzzling pig. And probably peri menopausal. And I sit at a desk all day. And a million other pathetic excuses why I’ve not shifted this weight in 2022 like I said I would.

I can’t be the only one who’s got sod all willpower, so who’s up to being fully accountable to this thread?

Lazy pigs like me especially welcome. Weigh in Monday morning.

Just fell off the wagon in a big bad way by practically inhaling half a box of rum truffles. I swear I was only having 3 or 4 but probably nearer 10 or 12 fell in my gob.

Can’t do squats either as I have a sports injury (stubbed my toe en route to the fruit bowl) so I’m lying on the sofa allowing the rum truffles to melt into flab.

I don't actually see the issue here - aren't we in fact truffle hunters?? Isn't that our job? ☺️

I'm going for a swim later - I can see the calories earnt for the actual swim, but I'm struggling to see them for the fight for life which is getting my wetsuit on.

Anyone seen the calories for wrestling a rabid octopus anywhere?

RainbowConnection1 · 15/01/2023 12:58

Can I join you? Ali have A LOT of weight to lose but basically I need someone or something to tell me what to eat and when to eat it.

StephanieSuperpowers · 15/01/2023 13:00

Well somehow I managed to eat enough to weight in 2.2 kg up this morning. Now we did do a rún to m&s food yesterday but even still, that must be a blip.

Surely a blip unless you've suddenly conceived an entire litter.

It'll be maybe something water/hormonal plus your scales being weird. Maybe you changed the surface they were on, that makes a difference

Sometimes if I move the scales to another bit of floor they're not quite level and it changes the reading. Don't worry too much, we're meant fluctuate throughout the month anyway.

I'm almost 2lb down and felt good this morning so finally finished week 1 of C25K at the gym then mooched around and did some weights. Got a few bits of shopping to do then home for a comforting roast dinner! Please send will power to avoid all the yumptious foods in M&S, I struggle to say no to a lot of their snacky foods cos they're just so delicious!

This should be a thing also, like the calories burned wrestling more than a handful of boob in or out of a sports bra! Anyone know the count for that!

Kriskristoffifee · 10/01/2023 08:43

Now a month in prison would maybe be good for my lazy pigginess?? A nice prison obvs with like minded piggies .

@Kriskristoffifee I'm so sorry I missed your message. The food looked good! Very carb heavy (jacket spud with a side of crisps) just the way I like it!

Yes! Definitely!

poshme · 15/01/2023 19:38

@BazingaBaby many many calories to get sports bra on.
Then many more later to try and get it off sweaty body.

(It's conceivable that mine is too small, and requires quite a lot of self manhandling. Never to be done where anyone can see)

I was doing really well. Lost 3lb since beginning of year, low alcohol, few biscuits.

And then the weekend came. And I ate many many things and drank all the wine. I'm sure that the 2lb I managed to gain in the last 2 days is normal however as my period started. Please let it be that. I'll be so depressed if it doesn't go down again.

I really want to eat peanuts and cheese. (Not together)

vicaragechristmas · 15/01/2023 20:15

Well, I’ve eaten fairly well today but effed up sharing a bottle of prosecco with my mother & Mr Vicarage (or I guess Revd Vicarage?) but it was worth it. Also the Revd brought me the thinnest sliver of Christmas cake I’ve ever seen, and I’d never have had the self (or fine-motor!) control to cut that small a slice so I think that was a good thing, ultimately! Plenty of exercise getting to and from church today plus just walking around in church (it is so big you can almost get your 10,000 steps in just in one ordinary service 😄) so I’m feeling saintly in both soul and body 😆

EyesOnThePies · 15/01/2023 20:33

If I haven’t lost something meaningful by tomorrow morning I really am going to start investigating the Heavy Air of South London theory. Or buy new scales.

poshme · 15/01/2023 20:44

@vicaragechristmas church was good for us today- forest church so involves lots of walking about mostly to keep warm!

HamFrancisco · 16/01/2023 06:57

Happy Monday, piglets. Anyone starting the week with a new resolve? Nothing rash(er) obviously, just a gentle cutting down, as per the rules of Pig Club™️.

Yep! I'm here, the scales have shifted in the right direction despite falling into a trough of night cheese and snow this morning! Clearly will need to keep my calorie intake up in case I get stuck in a snowdrift on the school run and am not found for hours.

Have a great day fellow piggies

Morning fellow piggy! I've decided to try to fast a little bit, ie not eat later than 7pm a few nights per week and then not have anything to eat until at least 10 am.

This also means drinking black tea in the mornings, so today I've had a cup of green tea instead (which tastes of nothing).

Not sure if this will help weight loss but supposed to be very good for gut health.

Weighing in this morning too - eek!

HamFrancisco · 16/01/2023 08:14

Hhm, I might give fasting a go. I don't eat in the evenings anyway, so it may not be too horrific for me to get through to 11ish without eating.

Ooh lovely, I’ve long wanted to start a forest church but we suffer from that usual problem - chronic lack of volunteers!

vicaragechristmas · 16/01/2023 08:23

Morning Oinksters! I’ve had a very unpiggy morning - scales have gone wrong as I appear to be UP one lb, no lie in as DD woke at about 5 and wouldn't settle back down, and then when I set off on my ebike to work I found the pigging battery had gone flat, so I’ve had to do some serious proper exercise 😡
Fortunately I packed my bike battery charger so the way home will be gentler - phew!

On the plus side my fitbit stats are looking awesome so I guess I’m entitled to an extra biscuit?

Good luck to everyone starting new gentle resolutions this week - mine is to actually do the yoga I committed to doing last week.

Mañanarama · 16/01/2023 08:35

Morning!!

I knew I’d had a slightly piggy weekend but still disappointed to have put a lb back on of the nearly 3 I’d lost.

So:

9th Jan - 10st 11.4
16th Jan - 10st 9.6

Back to eating eggs and ham and dust and despair…

I love the ethos of this thread. I haven't been doing that well here, same weight I was after Christmas. I'm off on a surprise day out today (belated birthday), think it might be a spa day as I need swimming stuff. Hoping I dont look too pig like lol. From this week, aiming to go gently. I would be thrilled with half a stone by Summer, but if I manage four or five pounds, I would still be pretty pleased.

Undisclosedlocation · 16/01/2023 08:42

Morning piglets!
Well weight in number 1 done and I have lost ……. Absolutely nothing🙄🙄
In the spirit of starting slow, I have surpassed all expectations and pretty much got to 5pm every single day and decided the f””k it fairies can take charge of the day from there
So this weeks very limited challenge will be to keep hold of the reins for at least one day, or till at least 7pm or something
On the plus side I’ve now heroically battled through the Xmas biscuits, although OH bought a huge slab of reduced Stilton which needs to go damn quick. I know I could freeze it, but where’s the fun in that?😁

whatausername · 16/01/2023 09:39

Well, yesterday I catapulted myself off the wagon, slammed into a steep embankment and slipped and tumbled down to the track head first. However, the curry was worth it and the sugary snacks were in lieu of sleep. Would've preferred the sleep.

MyOldCaravan · 16/01/2023 09:50

Weigh-in done - 1lb off so not a bad start. Only 41 more to go ☹️

I've been listening to a series of podcasts called Zoe, which are all about nutrition and really inspiring and interesting. Might help to keep us on the straight and narrow 🐷?

LazyPig · 16/01/2023 10:06
