Lazy pig seeks other lazy pigs to lose 1lb a week.

Ok, this starts on Monday, as I have a steak pie and mash and yorkies to eat tomorrow. Will also heroically finish the Christmas chocolate so it’s out of the house. Once that’s all achieved, I’m good to go.

I need and must lose at least one pound a week until April. That’s about a stone.

Shouldn’t be too hard, right? Wrong. I’m basically fucking lazy, I hate exercise, hate going out in bad weather and am a total gluttonous food guzzling pig. And probably peri menopausal. And I sit at a desk all day. And a million other pathetic excuses why I’ve not shifted this weight in 2022 like I said I would.

I can’t be the only one who’s got sod all willpower, so who’s up to being fully accountable to this thread?

Lazy pigs like me especially welcome. Weigh in Monday morning.

Haven't weighed myself but have stuck to calorie allowance my fitness pal gave me, went to the gym did 20 minutes brisk uphill walk and 5 minute running (first running in aaaaages) the plan is to increase the running time.

This was challenging but not exhausting.

Drinking hot water with ginger and lemon. I've just had the shopping delivered, now would be when I would raid the biscuits..... but I don't want to spoil my good day.

MichaelAndEagle · 09/01/2023 21:09

Obviously didn't mean to post that 3 times!

Good God, woman! If heaven were wrapped in tinfoil encased in plastic that would be it.

Don't worry about the guilt, it'll pass quickly :-D extra squats tomorrow though!

I’m getting peckish now. This would usually be my time for wensleydale and hovis biscuits.

Have not opened the tub of Santas yet, due to being disappointed in myself, like I’m holding myself to ransom or something.

Started off well but had a stressful hospital appointment and came home and opened a bottle of wine, then ate a load of Pringles. Have just done 20mins on DH’s vibration plate, at least when I’m vibrating I can’t eat or drink!

EyesOnThePies · 09/01/2023 21:30

Mañanarana, TOP WORK with the squats and healthy eating.

The thing about those Lindt Santas, I think, is that they are hollow and therefore mostly fresh air?

Yes, they ARE hollow and that’s another justification for purchase. I’ll feel like I’m indulging myself, slowly and delicately unwrapping them with my increasingly dainty hands, when really it’s mainly healthy air. Yes.

Does anyone have a Fitbit? Mine says I've burned 2,500 calories today. Surely not? I've done a Tai Chi class and a Pilates class but otherwise sat on my bum!

Anyway, I would rather exercise more than eat less but I didn't think it would make enough of a difference....

But am trying to break the choco habit as it takes me about two weeks to stop the cravings. So far five days in.

I've got 7kg to lose. I would still be technically overweight on the BMI scale but I would feel much more comfortable with my weight at that level.

Mañana: ONE IS ENOUGH.

HamFrancisco · 09/01/2023 21:44

Buggering hell, is it Rich Tea or digestives that we have to eat fewer of? I need to be fully informed if I’m going to pull a stunt like that.
Turns out I’ve lost 2.25lb since NY. I can only put that down to some good crapping, but I’m still counting it as a win.

Anyone seen the “revoke LPC membership” button?

Ebananascroogey · 09/01/2023 22:01

@Mañanarama if you eat the lindt Santa's whilst squatting I'm pretty sure one cancels out the other!! & actually thinking about it, the effort taken to unwrap each one individually must also burn off extra calories right??

Less than 5 digestives.
Not seen any mention of Rich Tea’s, so I’m assuming they are exempt

Bodies burn calories just keeping you alive. That's why the very broadly recommended intake is 2000 calories/day.

EyesOnThePies · 09/01/2023 22:27

Right, after being badly ambushed by the bar of Ritter Sport Peppermint Cream last night I have bootcamped myself a bit today. Mostly for something to build on / not throw away tomorrow.

Tiny bowl of Oat Krunch cereal and semi skimmed milk

Two small slices of toast, one with a quarter of avocado, one with cottage cheese, salad leaves, tomato.

1 small packet of popcorn (68 cals)

1 chicken thigh (no skin), shallots, carrot, courgettes, sweet potato mash.

1 Choc ginger biscuit

An hour Body Pump class.

Pleased with myself because:
No afternoon snack binge
Stopped at 1 Choc biscuit.

EyesOnThePies · 09/01/2023 22:34

@Stunningscreamer 5 days off the chocolate is BRILLIANT!

Mañanarama · 09/01/2023 23:25

Right. I’m off to bed. Today is the first day in literally YEARS (/forever?) that I have not had any biscuits, chocolate or anything sweet. All I’ve eaten since 5:30pm is chicken. Quite a lot of chicken.

We'll done Manana! I've got my lazy arse out of bed and have almost done a full circuit of the gym already. Might have a little day ham later to get me through work!

PositivePants2023 · 10/01/2023 06:53

Yesterday was up and down.

Highs - good breakfast and dinner, and gym session (can’t lift arms this morning) only one glass of wine.

Lows - random toasted peanut butter and Nutella sandwich in the afternoon, finished off the giant Ferraro Roche, had a glass of wine when I wasnt going to drink any in the week.

Today I shall take the positives and go with them. Maybe.

except I really want to pick up some of those blinking amazing looking bears @Mañanarama !!

PositivePants2023 · 10/01/2023 06:56

P.S what calorie counting app do the LPC recommend to be the easier to use for somebody who can’t be arsed?

MichaelAndEagle · 10/01/2023 06:59

I've only tried my fitness pal, but its easy enough for me.

Nutracheck here as well. It's good as UK based too.

Amazing!

Protein will fill you up really well. If you did that at least 3/4 nights a week you’ll see a huge difference in your health!

MKDmumofflash · 10/01/2023 08:05

Morning all!

Well I can safely say the last 24hrs have summed up ALL my previous weight loss attempts. After the monster flat bread (to keep me going) I obviously needed to stop for a Gregs on the way to court. Only saving grace is that I strung the chicken pasty out to do lunch as well (plus obligatory Belgium bun). Then 2hr drive scooping up and chucking out children, fueled by a packet of sweeties, dinner with friends, and just now a premier inn breakfast.

I can't even mainline coffee to take the edge off as I haven't worked out how to go for a wee in prison 😬

Good luck everyone today, sending reducing porkiness vibes.
