Yes me! Had a baby earlier in the year and desperate to lose some weight - I have so many clothes I can't wear anymore 😢

CutiePatooties · 19/10/2022 20:03

Oh my goodness - I had a baby in May!! How spooky!!

if you tell me you’re in your 30s as well, then I’m going to die from shock 😂

none of my clothes fit me and I get married in 2 weeks 😞 got over being fat for it but now need to slim down in general…

want to start dieting/exercising with me? By with me, I mean we can check in on each other and motivate one another. Can also do a weekly weigh in every Monday?

ClearButtons · 19/10/2022 20:05

Haha yes I'm on my 30s (mid 🥲) - my baby was born January, the time is flying!

Ah congratulations- I'm sure you will look and feel amazing on your wedding day ☺️

Yes that sounds like a good idea - I desperately need some motivation to make a change, any change! Feel stuck in a rut of healthy eating for a few days then back to square one again 😫

Tjones18 · 19/10/2022 20:08

I had a baby in March 2021 I’m 5’4 and 14.5st so I know how you feel feel free to share any weight loss tips!

CutiePatooties · 19/10/2022 20:11

Ah, I’m the same as you!! I do well for a day or two… then BAM! Destroy all the hard work. Definitely need some motivation and it’s nice to have someone in the same boat as me :)

shall we do calorie counting?
I read somewhere that you take your goal weight in pounds and x10 to work out how many calories you need to get to your target weight. So I can’t go over 1400, as my goal is 10st.

do you have a goal in mind?

Hunkyd0ry · 19/10/2022 20:13

I’m 5’5’ and was 13st last time I looked (then stopped weighing myself)

n
My baby is…. 3 🥴

WizardOfUK · 19/10/2022 20:14

I'm 5'3 and 13 stone. I've managed to lose 5lbs over the past few months but losing motivation.

CutiePatooties · 19/10/2022 20:15

@Tjones18 ahhh another one in our boat :) we can all keep each other motivated. It’s hard when you have a baby… I find I do everything for bubba and forget about myself… just let myself go 😫 😭

OP posts:
CutiePatooties · 19/10/2022 20:18

@WizardOfUK well done!! I’ve lost 5 pounds and now lack motivation, so I feel your pain. We can all do a Monday weigh-in and check up on each other/give tips etc

@Hunkyd0ry ahh you’re a stone lighter than I am- wish I was 13st!!

definitely need some help here ladies!!

ClearButtons · 19/10/2022 20:18

Calorie counting sounds good to me. It's the simplest I think (lol!) - I'm always shocked when I actually total up calories for meals, it's a real
Eye opening sometimes!

I'd like to get between 10-11 stone - I was about that a few years ago and I liked the way I looked and felt. I don't think I could realistically get below that anyway (I feel I was always destined to be on the Heavier side when I came out at 11lbs 2oz 😆)

CutiePatooties · 19/10/2022 20:22

@ClearButtons I've never been below 10st, but tbh any weight loss would be great right now.

and WOAH big baby bahahahhaha.

I'm excited to start now :) I think I’ll try 30 day shred tomorrow too as I’ve heard great things about it. Or maybe I’ll be lazy and just go for a few walks 😂

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 19/10/2022 20:23

I’m 5ft 2.5 ( that half inch is very important!) & when I last got weighed on proper digital scales I was over 15 stone. Horrified! The biggest I got to in the past was 13 stone. My problem is booze plus I haven’t been able to exercise for a couple of years due to injury. Trying to start walking, swimming etc & waiting to hear from the MSK clinic as to what else I can safely do.
Good luck everyone!

ClearButtons · 19/10/2022 20:25

Is the 30 day shred an exercise plan? Sounds interesting! I think might actually collapse if I start any Hardcore exercising right now, so out of practice!

I think I am going to aim for 10k steps a day from tomorrow and try to do 2 swims in the next weeks. Hopefully that might get me feeling less sluggish and wanting to pig out. I'm sure I've got a Fitbit gathering dust somewhere that I'll have to dig out!

Titsywoo · 19/10/2022 20:27

Me! I'm 5ft 3 and 13 stone 10 (was 14 stone about a week ago!).

Want to lose weight for health reasons - even 10% of my body weight will do.

CutiePatooties · 19/10/2022 20:31

ahh it seems we have a proper little group going now. I’ve found my Fitbit, charging it up and ready to go for tomorrow.

going to log everything I eat as well (usually terrible at this!)

oh and @ClearButtons 30 day shred is a workout that starts at level 1, then every 10 days you go up a level, to level 3. Really want to do it, but not sure if I’ll die hahahhahaha. Plus it’s hard as baby doesn’t really nap and is so clingy! But she’s going to have to give me working out time as I need to lose this weight if it’s the last thing I do.

OP posts:
CutiePatooties · 19/10/2022 20:34

@Titsywoo well done on the weight loss - keep it up! 😊
@SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows ahhh wish you all the luck on your weight loss journey and feel free to join in on our weekly weigh-ins. We’ll keep each other motivated.

OP posts:
twoandone · 19/10/2022 20:36

I'm similar weight, however, my baby is nearly 3 so I have NO excuse.

Deadringer · 19/10/2022 20:42

I would like to join too, I am 5 4 and 14 stone as well, though I haven't just had a baby! I lose weight very, very slowly and have managed to lose 4 pounds in about 4 weeks, it hasn't been easy though. I have to really cut down to lose anything and it takes so long that its hard to stay motivated. The only reason i am sticking at it is because I am going to a school reunion next month, I would love to be a stone down for that, but it's very unlikely.

Deadringer · 19/10/2022 20:43

My baby is 24!

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 19/10/2022 20:44

Me! 5'5" and 13.9 stone. I feel awful and could do with some support and hopefully support others 🙂

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 19/10/2022 20:46

And my baby is 9 and I only weighed 12 stone at 8 months pregnant so I have no excuse 😳

itstrue · 19/10/2022 20:48

I'm 5.4 - I was 16 stone but I'm down to 12 stone now. Aiming for 10.

I've been doing calorie counting through Team RH. I'm on 2100 calories per day and still losing but on those calories im doing 15,000 steps a day which is a lot to fit into your day.

CutiePatooties · 19/10/2022 20:48

@twoandone @Deadringer @teaandtoastwithmarmite feel free to join in- going to weigh in every Monday (wouldn’t worry about a loss for this Monday coming, but just good to do it at the start of each week).

if anyone has any weight loss tips, or if you feel like eating the wrong thing/overeating etc comment on here first! We can help each other :))))

wish I had this thread before I ate four giant cookies earlier lol!

OP posts:
GinFug · 19/10/2022 20:48

Can I join please. 5"6, 14st 11, 3 year old child so can't blame the pregnancy cravings anymore

CutiePatooties · 19/10/2022 20:50

@itstrue OMG You absolute ⭐️ star!!

wish I was as motivated as you - help me please!!

15,000 steps is amazing! I’m going to take a leaf out of your book from now on.
