Hi can I join too? I'm also 5'4 and 14st 🙈 struggling so much with motivation to do anything. I'm sure dragging around so much extra weight is the main problem. I was 8st pre baby 1!

CutiePatooties · 19/10/2022 20:51

@GinFug hello! Feel free to join us 😊 loving this group already… I suddenly don’t feel so alone!

Can I join? I'm a bit taller at 5'7 but also nearly 14st and I don't even have a recent baby to blame - my DD is 11 in December 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 19/10/2022 20:52

itstrue · 19/10/2022 20:48

I'm 5.4 - I was 16 stone but I'm down to 12 stone now. Aiming for 10.

I've been doing calorie counting through Team RH. I'm on 2100 calories per day and still losing but on those calories im doing 15,000 steps a day which is a lot to fit into your day.

Hi @itstrue I've been toying with the idea of team rh and wondering whether to do it. I'm paying £55 a month for the gym and love it when I go but can't seem to drag myself there since holiday in august 🥴

koalab · 19/10/2022 20:52

Me! 5'4 and over 14 stone (will weigh tomorrow). Baby is 18 months and have been working from home but now starting to go in to the office and have realised I've become far too comfortable in leggings and sweatshirts!

CutiePatooties · 19/10/2022 20:52

@purplehairtroll hiii!! Oh I’ve never been 8st not even in my dreams 😂 feel free to join us!

daisydoods · 19/10/2022 20:52

Can I join?! I'm 5"4, early 30s, baby in 2019 and baby in 2020 and last time I weighed myself I was the top end of 13st... Im avoiding weighing like the plague until I 'feel' like I've lost weight, I was slimmer pregnant! 🙈

CutiePatooties · 19/10/2022 20:54

@koalab @Iamclearlyamug welcome ladies! Don’t fret about weighing just yet… we will weigh in on Monday so we can keep it consistent (also gives us time to drop a pound 😂 😂 )

OP posts:
CutiePatooties · 19/10/2022 20:55

@daisydoods i was slimmer pregnant! Then BAM a stone piled on like a month after she came along. Hormones are weird…. Oh and giant cookies ….. 👀

Me! 5'5" and 13.9 stone. I feel awful and could do with some support and hopefully support others 🙂

I'm a similar weight and height, my baby is now double figures and I was much lighter when pregnant! 😫

pinacoladasandsunshine · 19/10/2022 20:58

Meee I'm 5"5" and 14stone 6lb. Trying to get down to 11stone where i'm most comfortable. Planning to get back in the gym next from next week and average at least 3 classes a week, with lots of walking and sensible eating. I tend to go overboard with desserts at lunch and dinner
🐷🐷

Toddlerteaplease · 19/10/2022 20:58

Yep. 14st 5 and 5th 6.

givinglessfucksdaily · 19/10/2022 21:01

Please can I join , similar height and weight and desperate to lose baby weight .. unfortunately my youngest baby is 27

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 19/10/2022 21:03

I chucked my scales away so might try to rejoin the wellness clinic where they have the digital ones.

Lb603 · 19/10/2022 21:20

Hello, I'm 5'4 and need to lose weight!

I also had a baby in December 2020 then another in march this year so have plenty to lose and no excuse not to.

My main downfall is snacking. I've gone and done a big healthy Aldi shop today and didn't buy any snacks.

I'm going to try and walk more and do an at home workout once I put the kids to bed each night...but it's hard when my littlest is still up half the night and the almost 2yo then gets up at 6:30am and is non stop all day.

Def could do with a motivational group to chat through our journeys!

itstrue · 19/10/2022 21:22

My tips for weight loss are calorie counting is really the only way to go. Don't put yourself into a large calorie deficit as this isn't sustainable.

I also don't have things in my house that I binge on. For me it's cheese - I'll eat loads of it if it's here so better not to have it.

You also need to drink a lot of water. It helps with stopping over eating and also helps to metabolise fat.

Be honest with yourself (you don't need to tell anyone else) about what you are actually doing with food. I was in denial for years that my diet actually wasn't that bad.

Also I have a goal that I couldn't do at my beginning weight. Basically I decided for my 50th birthday that I wanted to hike to Base Camp in Nepal. Couldn't see me doing that fat.

I'm down 30.3 kilos now with another 9 kilos to go to get into a healthy bmi. This has taken me over a year to achieve so it's not a quick process. But as I'm now unrecognisable to some people it's worth it!

I like Team RH. The app is a bit basic but it keeps me accountable and I like his straight talking (although it's not everyone's cup of tea so have a look on social media first to see if it suits you).

CutiePatooties · 19/10/2022 21:32

@pinacoladasandsunshine @Toddlerteaplease @givinglessfucksdaily @Lb603 welcome on board!! I’m absolutely loving how many people are joining this thread. We can all keep each other going :)))

@itstrue thank you so much for all the tips- I’ll start counting cals tomorrow and drinking more water. Didn’t realise water helps metabolise fat

ReachedTheEndofCake · 19/10/2022 21:36

@CutiePatooties
I called my niece (4) “Cutie Patootie” in the summer, she looked up and said
“Daddy, ‘Reached’ just called me a Cute Potato”

God love her.

I also happen to be 5’4 and nearly 14st, but don’t think I’m motivated enough to join you lot yet!
Maybe the notifications from this thread will jab my fat rolls into submission….

15 st and 5’4 after being on crutches for 18 months and not being able to exercise until I had surgery a month ago!

Anyone considering SW?

I lost 3 stone in less than a year on sw but it stopped and then I put it back on. Been considering going back

Version4needsabitofwork · 19/10/2022 21:53

Oh lord @teaandtoastwithmarmite are you me? These are my exact stats! I was doing okay, 11stone ish and regularly exercising when long covid, lockdowns and the freakin' perimenopause hit me HARD.

I need some serious motivation to get out there again. Work, parenting and more work means I'm getting no exercise and eating whatever's easiest...

Where to start?

GettingItOutThere · 19/10/2022 22:47

joining!!

I am about 5'5 and need to shift about 3 stone. yuk.

I am so demotivated but need to get it shifted for health

monday weigh in?

we got this ladies !

Parrotpretty · 20/10/2022 06:54

I will join. I'm 5'5 14'6 this morning. Thursday will be my weigh day in case the weekends go wrong and I can pull back. I'm doing WW

Gemi33 · 20/10/2022 07:42

I'm 5ft 3in and just under 4 weeks ago I was 14st 2lbs. So far I have lost 10lbs. I really struggle with motivation though so really hoping I can keep going but it feels like I have so much to lose.

OP - I haven't really been doing any exercise but was thinking about doing the 30 day shred. I tried it years ago but never completed it. I really struggle to get motivated and find the energy though!
