It would appear that all I do is stuff my face with crap, lots of crap.

I'm going to try and sort myself out, starting tomorrow.

I'm scared, I'm useless at dieting but it's getting serious. I'm so unhappy, I caught sight of myself in the window walking past Costa coffee today. It was grim.

Anyone want to join me?

Weigh day tomorrow.

Good Morning everyone.
Just done weigh in and astounded to see I've lost 1.2kg this week so now weighing 77.2kg. Gained 0.4kg last week so down 0.8kg on 2 weeks ago . So back on downward trajectory- hooray!
Have to say pleasantly surprised by this as has not been particularly good week food wise. Also had a Xmas party which involved 3 course Xmas Dinner, alcohol and as it was an overnight stay a ( compulsory!) Full english breakfast in the morning. My window of eating is also slipping. But I'm inspired by the food shown in this thread especially by @stravaig, the veg look amazing.
And everyone's amazing achievement as keeping going. Well done @jenasaurus !
@illiterato my knee is slowly getting better , it's been a bit dodgy for a while, occasionally locks/ gives way and sometimes make a crunching sound but what finished it off last week was sitting cross legged on the sofa for a couple of hours whilst working on my laptop 🤣 what is happening to my body now I'm over 50!!!

PeloFondo · 05/12/2022 08:13

Food wasn't great yesterday but I did a 30 min spin class so small wins

whyhere · 05/12/2022 08:18

Oh dear..... Having hit one pound below goal weight last Monday, today I've gained a pound and a half! In a way I'm not surprised, as it's always the adjustment from 'losing' to 'maintenance' that I've found difficult.

Anyway, having my Covid booster today so I'll probably be completely off my food for 48 hours 😕

Stravaig · 05/12/2022 08:31

@PeloFondo Missed you, and my vicarious spin classes! How are your kidneys?

@Runnerduck34 Fantastic loss this week!
I'm a lifelong cross-legged sitter, getting creaky now, but can't seem to figure out how else to sit, it all feels wrong. I may need to take up yoga?

Stravaig · 05/12/2022 08:33

Down 0.9 kg since last Monday.

This week. Make a fresh batch of not-bolognese, 5x2 portions. Play Tetris with the icebox compartment, 2 korma + 2 bean stew out, 4 jars bolognese in. Kale and black olive pasta on the 7th day. Mornings, mushroom or cherry tomato omelette, or black bean salsa with eggs.

I'm on my last day of antibiotics so fingers crossed they start behaving. Also hammering supplements to try and help and following angela kilmartins UTI recommendations

Spin class was good but I felt so unfit

illiterato · 05/12/2022 15:39

Sorry guys- forgot again. Monday morning 6am wake ups hit me like a train after 2 days of relative lie ins. Will update tomorrow.

well done on the losses @Stravaig and @Runnerduck34 . Onwards @whyhere - I fluctuate like crazy- definitely two steps forward and one back.

@PeloFondo really hope this is the kidney infection kicked into touch- fingers crossed.

I cannot imagine a life in which I could comfortably sit cross legged. Still traumatised by my ballet teacher trying to force my knees down. Was just born with really tight hips and can only loosen them so much. Also have to wear lifting shoes to get myself into a parallel squat.

PaulineFowlersCardigan · 05/12/2022 22:11

Love seeing how well everyone’s doing x
Not been able to catch up or even take a minute to scroll, everyone down with covid (except me🤞🏻) so I’m busy playing Florence Nightingale to all!
I just rushed in to say I’m down to 12st 10, so happy with that, another 2lbs off, 6lbs since the start and I’m finally starting to feel a teeny bit more comfortable in my jeans.
here’s to a good week for all x

Sodullincomparison · 06/12/2022 02:46

Well done everyone- seems like a positive week:

im back to 15st 4lbs having watched the pounds from last week come off.

sorry for not checking in yesterday as Monday mornings are never the picture of harmony in our house. It’s as though everyone has forgotten how to get up to go to work/school.

It should be easy to do a good two weeks now as no nights out or travel. It is DH’s birthday but think the football has won out over a meal.

illiterato · 06/12/2022 06:56

Sounds like a good week all round! Well done @Sodullincomparison and @PaulineFowlersCardigan

I am down to…..drum roll….. 68.5kg which is my 5kg milestone!!! If you’d told me at the start it would take 11 weeks to lose that I’d have cried but it hasn’t actually been that torturous and it’s enabled me to experiment with how and when I eat. So I now only have 2.5kg to go. Thank god it’s not Christmas so I can just focus on that….. oh wait 🤣🤣

whyhere · 06/12/2022 08:20

Well done everyone.

WalkingOnSonshine · 06/12/2022 08:50

Creeping down slowly to 80.2kg this morning. This feels very sustainable, I’m just moving a little more and smaller portions.

I went to the drs for a check up yesterday and they weighed me - I’m 6kg down on this time last year, so that’s a real win.

PeloFondo · 06/12/2022 09:04

Another 30 min spin class done
Still maintaining annoyingly but I'm staying under 17 stone consistently so that's a win. Next target is 16 stone

Stravaig · 06/12/2022 12:44

Everyone's doing brilliantly!

@PaulineFowlersCardigan Hope they're all better soon x

@Sodullincomparison Impressively back on track post party!

@illiterato Congrats on the milestone 🥳

@whyhere Hope the Covid booster is treating you gently x

@WalkingOnSonshine A steady year on year loss is the very best kind 🤩

@PeloFondo You are so much fitter than I am! Fingers crossed for healthy kidneys x

Stravaig · 06/12/2022 12:46

🥳 Lost 10 kilos!

In exactly 10 weeks, which looks nice and linear, which it definitely wasn't.

Cavolo nero and chestnut mushrooms make a lovely hearty winter omelette.

whyhere · 06/12/2022 17:20

@Stravaig Thank you. 24+ hours in and feel fine, thank the Lord!

Sodullincomparison · 07/12/2022 21:16

Woohoo!!! You guys have smashed it.

today was a bloody disaster. I’d love to share but it has been so ridiculous it would be outing beyond belief.

feeling a bit poorly so hopefully that could curb some of inhalation of chocolate which has happened today. 😂😂

what a journey. Congrats to everyone who has hit their target. Does this mean the end of our group as you are all skinny Minnie’s now? 😭😭😭

Pelo2022 · 08/12/2022 11:19

NSV that this top fits me again

Fuck I'm so lardy, I've hit peak fatness and need to sort it out.
Stravaig · 08/12/2022 11:58

@Pelo2022 Congratulations! 🥳

@Sodullincomparison I'll be here for a while yet! Hope you're feeling better today x

Stravaig · 08/12/2022 12:02

Here's the black bean salsa, freshly mixed, before dividing into jars.

Tray of cherry tomatoes, chopped; large red onion, diced; carton of pre-cooked black beans, rinsed well; handfuls of coriander leaf; juice of half/whole lime.

In the summer, cold, with some feta or avocado, it's a zingy and refreshing salad. In winter, warmed on the plate, with freshly boiled egg, yolk just set, quartered on top, it's a hearty brunch ~ the red onion is invigorating, the beans and egg earthy and substantial.

Fuck I'm so lardy, I've hit peak fatness and need to sort it out.
AnnieHoooo · 08/12/2022 12:21

That looks and sounds delicious @Stravaig . Well done to everyone hitting their targets !! And all losses !! This threat has been a success for me too if you count maintaining. I have been on a trip away (stravaiging!) with old friends so I'm celebrating a maintain! I love this threat let's keep it going.

Stravaig · 08/12/2022 12:27

@AnnieHoooo ❤️

Sodullincomparison · 08/12/2022 16:34

@Pelo2022 you look great! Well done!

@Stravaig your colours are putting me to shame again. That looks fabulous. Are these tried and tested recipes or do you try lots of new things?

@AnnieHoooo we have 2 weeks- let’s go for it!!!

DD4 has Scarlett fever and I have a grown up version of the same germs. I sat in a meeting as the rash literally popped up. My team made some hasty goodbyes and ran away!

And DH has a hangover from his work’s night out so food isn’t really happening here just ice cold drinks.

whyhere · 08/12/2022 21:17

So sorry you're all under the weather @Sodullincomparison Hope you all feel much better really soon.

AnnieHoooo · 08/12/2022 22:34

Hope you feel better soon @Sodullincomparison my little grandniece also has scarlet fever - not nice 😔
