Fuck I'm so lardy, I've hit peak fatness and need to sort it out.

It would appear that all I do is stuff my face with crap, lots of crap.

I'm going to try and sort myself out, starting tomorrow.

I'm scared, I'm useless at dieting but it's getting serious. I'm so unhappy, I caught sight of myself in the window walking past Costa coffee today. It was grim.

Anyone want to join me?

Weigh day tomorrow.

I’m in. I think nothing of eating two plates of dinner. It’s not good.

HairyKnobsAndBroomsticks · 02/10/2022 21:18

We need to brave the scales tomorrow morning. No excuses.

Thanks for joining me.

Me too. My weight is going up and up. I need a year or 2 of complete change of lifestyle.

HairyKnobsAndBroomsticks · 02/10/2022 21:31

@AnnieHoooo I really want to change, I have zero control at the moment and stuff my face every evening in front of the tv. I go to bed so stuffed, it's exhausting getting up the stairs as I'm so uncomfortable.

Me l'll join you girls 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️

We went on holiday in July and I've basically been eating like a fat pig since then. 🐽

We've been eating out at least 3/4 times a week and my stomach is fucked as well as my waist line.

I'm all in but don't think I'm brave enough to stand on the scales yet. 😩😩

cloutneerbeout · 02/10/2022 21:33

I'm about a stone down with 3 more stone left to lose. Thus far I've had good results with simply reducing portion size (including making sure half my plate is salad or veg at dinner), stopping snacking and couch 2 5k 3x a week on the treadmill at the gym.

Weight loss has been slow but steady. I've had more dramatic results doing stuff like low carbing but I've not been able to sustain it long term whereas this feels like something I can sustain.

HairyKnobsAndBroomsticks · 02/10/2022 21:33

Hello @ofHardey yes, you are brave enough. We need to own it and know what we are up against. All you have to do is step on the scales, and keep your eyes open 😂

You can be our leader.

Well done on your weight loss.

Yes please! Fed up of feeling so uncomfortable in my clothes and lethargic. What are people's thoughts on how to shift it and for good??

ofHardey · 02/10/2022 21:36

Is couch to 5k running or walking?

ApolloandDaphne · 02/10/2022 21:36

I'm lardy too. I lost 21lb last year and have put it all back on. I love eating so much.

HairyKnobsAndBroomsticks · 02/10/2022 21:37

@athomemama It's only going to get worse now that Christmas food is in the supermarket. We can do this.

Icecolder · 02/10/2022 21:37

I’m with you. I tried to brave the scales last week after ignoring them all summer and the battery had run out so I’ve had another week of blissful ignorance.
but my fat jeans are tight and I feel like a blob.
I’ll put some batteries in tonight and brave it in the morning.

cloutneerbeout · 02/10/2022 21:38

ofHardey · 02/10/2022 21:36

Is couch to 5k running or walking?

It's running, but it eases you in very very gently so the first week or two you do more walking than running. It's very gentle because it was designed for people with literally 0 fitness levels.

I do it on the treadmill because I have a knee injury that running outside makes worse, but it can be done outside.

AnnieHoooo · 02/10/2022 21:39

I'm the same. I plonk my fat arse down every night in front of the telly with my fleecy blanket. Big portions of dinner plus wine, then binge telly until it's time to heave myself up to bed.

My lung capacity is really low, well it feels it when I go up hills I just about die. I'm a sweaty mess. I'm tired of this life, hiding away.

cloutneerbeout · 02/10/2022 21:39

Christmas will definitely be my downfall. I overate today but I'm trying not to give myself a hard time about it as I would have done with previous diets - OR think Oh fuck it as I've already eaten I may as well just eat and eat as the day's a write off.

HairyKnobsAndBroomsticks · 02/10/2022 21:40

I'm going to start off eating for one, am currently eating enough for three.

I will be drinking lots of water and taking vitamins everyday.

I need to learn some control and say no. I bloody love food, especially sweet stuff.

Mummy bear-I’ve successfully lost a stone several times over through low carb or calorie counting.
they both work but only for as long as you keep it up. I think accountability is the main thing. The times I was calorie counting I had a plan from a nutritionist and weighed in weekly in a Facebook group. That was the best incentive for me. Plus paying £30 a month

Misspacorabanne · 02/10/2022 21:42

I'd like to join please, I don't think I'm hugely overweight (yet) but if I continue eating the crap that I eat then I will continue to pile on the pounds! I'm trying to kick the snacking habit, as my meals aren't too bad I don't think. I have a sweet tooth by the way, I even crave something sweet after my breakfast, and usually give in to temptation. I work from home which doesn't help, I then have a couple of biscuits with a brew, mid morning, and then usually one of the kids chocolate bars mid afternoon, today I had a big sharing bag of buttons to myself, it wouldn't be so bad if it was just a one off. If I'm bored in the evenings I'll snack again.
If I avoided the sugary snacks or swapped them for healthy options I think I'd lose afew pounds, but my fruit just sits going off whilst I snack on junk.
Just need to get in to the right mind set, and each day I have good intentions but I break it by mid morning most days, and then once I've eaten something I shouldn't then I lose all willpower.... And it's all down hill after that.
Good luck ladies. Hope we can motivate each other to stick with it!
