It would appear that all I do is stuff my face with crap, lots of crap.

I'm going to try and sort myself out, starting tomorrow.

I'm scared, I'm useless at dieting but it's getting serious. I'm so unhappy, I caught sight of myself in the window walking past Costa coffee today. It was grim.

Anyone want to join me?

61.8 kg (9st10). Not as bad as I thought tbh but right at the top of a healthy bmi and I don’t like the way it looks.
I should be able to shift half a stone by Christmas. Maybe a bit more with a decent effort.
im going to get back into weighing more frequently and do my best to cut out snacks

I’m in - I’m part of a few other groups, but scales aren’t shifting as quite frankly, I’m shit. Doing slimming world but only until about 7pm - then I drink wine and eat chocolate.

i have a feeling you ladies will hold me accountable. Food plan done, no booze tonight. Must not stuff face tonight as I rant about how much I hate my job!

Day 1, actually got onto the scales this morning, was about what I thought tbh.Thinking I have about two stone to lose but it’s more about getting control of my eating habits. BUT going to be positive about this, positive change instead of being down about how crap I feel 👍

Weighed in, I usually use kilos. 79.6kg today. Most I can remember when not pregnant! I’m 37 and 5ft 7in so that puts me in the overweight category. I was about 64kg before having my kids and youngest are nearly 5 now so definitely time to do something about it. My body has really changed since so don’t know I’ll get back to that but aiming for 70kg to start with.

I was at the beauty salon getting legs waxed yesterday, and the beautician said "oh my your legs are so big! You must eat lots of food" I've never wanted the ground to open up and swallow me so much in my life! 😔

Morning, just weighed and I'm 9 stone 6, but for my height I'm on the higher side of 'normal' for my BMI, so just using this to try and cut out my bad snacking habits, and get my diet back as it should be. I don't have a target to lose, my main aim is to stop the sugary snacks, and perhaps I'll lose afew pounds too. I was about 9 before kids, so perhaps for me that could be a target.

Hi ladies I'd like to join. Feeling very fed up, weighed jn at my heaviest his morning, 13st 10lb at 5ft 3, its not good. I turn 40 this week and promised myself I'd be slim for it. Probably not the best week to start but if I don't it'll be another excuse to binge the week away Previously lost on the fast 800, but its all on again plus more. Honestly I think it fucked with my metabolism but who knows. Not keen to go back on it for this reason but maybe desperate times call for desperate measures! Will calorie count for this week and see how it goes. Good luck ladies!

I need to lose weight today and started a few days ago. Not weighed myself as fo t have scales but will be taking waist measurements. Almost all my clothes except a few voluminous dresses are too small, clothes that used to be too big for me are too tight now.

Christmas is always my downfall. I start off promising myself that I can have a week to ten days off the wagon from about the 22nd to going back to work on 3 Jan. I get into December are there are parties and other things going on and the 21 Dec becomes the 5 Dec and the 3 Jan becomes the end of Jan and before I know it I’ve put all the weight back on. Same every year. I look around at all the food and gluttony in Dec and everyone else enjoying it and tell myself December is no time for diets then in jan tell myself it’s so depressing in Jan that I should at least let myself eat nice food. I need to find a way to break that unhealthy habit this year.

Don’t panic! It’s fixable. I have strongly related to all of your posts, and while I don’t know what I weigh today yet, I have been hanging around 11st12 recently, so I’m there with you too. I definitely need to do something about it before Christmas hits.

Are you me?? That’s basically my nightly routine. Has been since lockdown. I walk 10k steps a day (at least) but wine and bread are my downfall and I can’t shift any of my rapidly increasing weight. I can’t keep blaming the menopause. I’m 5ft11 and 16st. I feel so sorry for my partner. I’m in.

I hit my personal best a few weeks ago at 16 stone. I’m 5 foot 7 and have quite a wide frame (and biggish bones which I’ve had confirmed on a scan believe it or not) so I carry my weight quite well, but quite frankly I am taking the piss now hitting 16 stone.

So I hit the gym a few weeks ago and forced myself to do one hour of cardio a day. Fitbit tells me I’m working for 40 minutes in the cardio range and 20 minutes in peak. I am very out of breath and sweating so I know I’m working hard.

Anyway I know you can’t out exercise a bad diet but here’s the deal with me. If I’ve worked out hard I stop shovelling the shit down and it stops me from being impulsive. I can actually say no, so I exercise for the mental benefits too.

I am half a stone down, still going to the gym most days, but I am feeling more in control. I am only 34 I don’t want to feel this unhealthy. I think exercise is a key component of getting yourself in the right frame of mind.

The only approach I have found that works is to ensure that you use more energy every day than you consume. I used an activity tracker on my phone to monitor the energy I used, and a calorie counting App on my phone to monitor how much energy I consumed. Towards the end of the day, I checked to see how I was going and if I needed to use more energy, I went for a walk. Once I became aware of how many calories are in each food item and what level of activity is required to burn them off, I found I made much better food choices. It's sustainable as well, I still do it (but automatically, I don't need the Apps any more).
