I am 5"3 and weighed in yesterday at 15st 8.5! Heaviest I have been in a very long time 😭 feeling unfit and unattractive. I have so much going on and know that I am sabotaging myself and comfort eating due to tiredness but can't let anymore weight creep on. I am going on holiday next summer and Therefore am going to make that my goal. To be feeling healthier and more confident for next Aug. Going to return to MFP and back to tracking what I eat. Feel free to join me x

Started to weigh in daily following my 1lb loss soo hopefully that will keep the motivation going

A positive day yesterday, I made some oat biscuit type things, only Ingredients were porridge oats, banana and frozen berries, mix all together and make biscuit shapes on baking paper and pop into the oven. I love a couple of these with a cuppa for breakfast
Lunch was a baked pity with beans and low fat cheese
Tea was the remaining beans with wholemeal toast and remaining cheese - I really couldn't be arsed
Snacks - Diet Coke, yogurt and berries, mandarin segments in juice

Hi all, sounds like everyone is doing great 👍 things are definitely moving a little slower for me but have decided to have Wednesday as my official weigh in day and was 15st 1.5lb yesterday, so half a stone down overall
😊 so far I have stuck to plan despite having a fairly stressful week at work so hope I can maintain the momentum. I am away in London all weekend for my birthday this weekend so fingers crossed I don't gain too much. Hoping the walking will counteract the meals out.

3lb down so far, after a week and a half. I started doing Slimmingworld but found that it wasn't working. I've now switched to counting calories and measuring out my food and it's working so much better. I don't know why I keep getting suckered into Slimmingworld, I think it's because I can have unlimited portions which of course doesn't work.

Having my first official weigh in tomorrow and that will be my start weight.
Chose Friday so I can have a relaxed weekend if we choose to go out for munch, rarely go out on a work night especially in the winter so no worries there.
Stocked the fridge with fresh fruit and veggies today so hopefully they'll be my go to instead of snack bars.

You've done brilliantly so far, 7lb that's 14 packs of butter..
(I think)
Hoping you have a wonderful birthday weekend...Enjoy..

I caved in and had takeaway chips yesterday, feel very bloated and up 2lb this morning so I’m disappointed in myself, managed to avoid temptation today but I need to get a better grip on it. Going to wait until the weekend to weigh again and focus on building those good habits.

I don’t suppose anyone knows some good motivational podcasts? Maybe I can absorb their wisdom in my sleep 😁

newme4lanzarote23 · 09/09/2022 07:25

Thank you @Crumpleton 😊

I've stayed the same for over a week. Given that previously i was steadily gaining 1lb or so a week on average (when i looked back to what i weighed in May vs August i was shocked), does that actually count as a loss 😅

@Riverskye there isn't 7000 calories in chips so hopefully you're just a bit heavier due to the salt and will come back off over the next couple of days ☺️

Well done @newme4lanzarote23 that's awesome

And @TooHotToTangoToo brilliant amount in a week and a half, well done.

newme4lanzarote23 · 12/09/2022 07:28

Well weighed in this morning at 15st 0.5lbs so managed to maintain over my birthday weekend 😊 hoping this week will tip me out of the 15s 🤞

Well done @newme4lanzarote23 no mean feat over a birthday weekend Grin

Riverskye · 12/09/2022 09:38

@newme4lanzarote23 that's fantastic!

Hope everyone has a positive week 😊

newme4lanzarote23 · 15/09/2022 07:15

Just tipped over into the 14s 👍 now to keep going. Just been looking at my MFP history and the amount of times I've gone from 15st to 13st and then piled it all back on is ridiculous! Got to break the pattern. How is everyone else getting on? Xx

Late with my weigh in results this week but I lost 1kg which is more than I was expecting. But still not enough if that makes sense!

Thanks for all your replies to my previous post about fighting the sense of impatience - made me feel a lot better knowing I'm not the only one.

Personal training sessions are going well but are seriously hard!! I ache so much the next day.

I'm also enjoying the convenience of the All Plants meals. They're not the nicest but that's ok. It's so far stopping me from ringing Dominos on the nights I'm late in from work.

Onwards and downwards and hope everyone else's weeks are going well

ShoopShoop · 16/09/2022 08:21

That's brilliant @newme4lanzarote23 - so satisfying when you get out of a new stone / 10 kilo bracket!!

TooHotToTangoToo · 16/09/2022 10:20

A bit late too with my weigh in, lost 1lb this week, and it's looking better for this week too. Just need to be sensible on the weekend before I weigh in.

Feel so much better in myself. Not filling myself with crap helps me physically feel better, but I feel so much better mentally knowing I'm doing something about my weight. I might not have lost much to date, but I'm hopeful at long last

newme4lanzarote23 · 16/09/2022 16:15

@ShoopShoop @TooHotToTangoToo sounds like you are both doing really well 😊 well done x

Went on holiday and had a couple of social events so this completely went out the window, should have been starting on 14.2 but after eating ridiculous amounts I weighed myself Sunday morning and was 14.10 (of course it couldn't all be real weight in that time!) so I weighed again this morning after 2 days of being good and back down to 14.4. Now I need the motivation to continue!

TooHotToTangoToo · 20/09/2022 14:18

Weighed in today and another lb off this week. So that's 3 in 3 weeks, slow and steady I keep telling myself

newme4lanzarote23 · 20/09/2022 18:49

@StampOnTheGround I think socialising etc is one of the hardest parts of trying to lose weight. However, sounds like you have got back on track which is the main thing. I'm terrible for allowing one "bad day" to lead to giving up completely! I need to follow in your footsteps. Well done @TooHotToTangoToo slow and steady wins the race. You are doing amazingly 👏

@newme4lanzarote23 I'm terrible for allowing one "bad day" to lead to giving up completely!

This is me, but it's normally at the 3 month mark. I can't tell you the amount of times I've been going great guns, lost weight then derailed myself at the 3 month mark.

I intend to use this thread as help when I get to that point.

newme4lanzarote23 · 20/09/2022 20:31

@TooHotToTangoToo yep I am exactly the same! Hopefully we can keep each other on track x

OP posts:
StampOnTheGround · 20/09/2022 21:07

@newme4lanzarote23 thank you! This is usually me to, one bad day leads to a bad weekend, to a bad week, to a bad month 😂

I've got lunch out the next 2 days so I need to make good choices!

newme4lanzarote23 · 21/09/2022 07:23

Wednesday weigh in: 14st 12 and 3/4. Less than a 1lb off this week which is a bit frustrating but at least it's going down!

C0rnflake · 21/09/2022 07:38

I am still 206lbs 🤣 thats weeks now. Need to step up the effort i guess!

FartOutLoudDay · 22/09/2022 20:06

17st1 on 1 September, 16st9 this morning. Thoroughly depressed myself glancing at my old weight stats in my NHS records and MFP. Wish I was as fat as when I first thought I was fat! If I could get down to 12st7 and stay there for the rest of my life I would be very happy!

I’ve been using a hypnotherapy app which has had a really weird effect. I haven’t craved Coca Cola like I usually do since I started listening to it and while my diet isn’t ideal it’s like I’ve lost a lot of interest in food. And I used to obsess over when I would next eat, when I might have an excuse to nip out for sandwiches and crisps and chocolate and fizzy drinks, be shovelling in slices of bread and butter while cooking dinner, buying treats during the supermarket shop and demolishing them before I even got out the car park. Huge portions. So it’s a big change! Trying to be consistent in listening to it nightly to see how long the effects last.

Not all good mind you - the gym rang me tonight to ask why I haven’t been there in ages 😂 but I’ve realised I need to sort my relationship with food out before committing to intense exercise - otherwise it’s too easy to make the excuse of “well I’ve earned it” or “i’m going to the gym later” and overeating. Plus it’s flipping expensive so I’m letting my membership lapse in 4 weeks anyway! Hoping to join a cheaper gym and focus on solo workouts rather than the group ones I’ve been doing that make me feel wholly inadequate!
