I am 5"3 and weighed in yesterday at 15st 8.5! Heaviest I have been in a very long time 😭 feeling unfit and unattractive. I have so much going on and know that I am sabotaging myself and comfort eating due to tiredness but can't let anymore weight creep on. I am going on holiday next summer and Therefore am going to make that my goal. To be feeling healthier and more confident for next Aug. Going to return to MFP and back to tracking what I eat. Feel free to join me x

First weigh on for me too today. I've also measured my waist and hips. It's not a pretty sight.

Lemon and hot water for my frost drink and I'm on the water train too today.

I’m joining a couple of these threads for advice and support, ideas etc. I’m 5 ft 6 and 12st 9. Ideally I would like to get to 10st 7 but my first goal is to get under 12st. I hope to achieve that by end of Jan. I think this is doable? My plan is to do 20 mins yoga every morning (have back problems which this really helps) then try for 10k steps a day and weight training at gym 2-3 times a week. Cut out naughty snacks and eat healthier and drink lots of water.

I could have written this. I plan on doing the steps only though, and plan on losing 4/5lb if I'm lucky.

@greenerfingers I’m hoping the first 9 lbs might be doable in a month as I have done that before with Slimming World. I think the exercise is doable. I tried a body pump class at the gym for the first time and really enjoyed it. My test is to keep going with it this time and achieve the ultimate goal ! It’s so easy to slip back into the old lifestyle.

How's everyone getting on. First week down for me since restarting (again!!). 3lbs down this week which is a good start. Now need to actually keep going with it for once!

Well done @newme4lanzarote23
I've been a bit more conscious of what I'm eating but still think my portion sizes need a bit of fine tuning.
I haven't weighed in as of yet, got that to look forward to at the end of the week.

ImBlueDab · 10/01/2023 12:24

Week 1 for me too, 1.5lb loss, but I have lost a cm across my bum and waist so don't feel too bad

StampOnTheGround · 10/01/2023 12:53

Currently 13st12 - always good to be in the next bracket down, although it's still way too high!

greenerfingers · 12/01/2023 09:07

@Daffyaboutdaffs I've done that too before but this time round I'm breastfeeding so can't go as extreme as then. Currently I've lost nothing and have been eating clean and smaller portions, no snacks etc.

Daffyaboutdaffs · 13/01/2023 07:26

I have just weighed in as decided to do a Friday weigh in so it’s been about 11 days since I started. Only 1lb lost!! I have been so good with my exercise, my diet but I still feel bloated. A bit disheartening but I’m in it for the longhaul this time so will keep on. Great to hear everybody else’s weight loss. Well done!!

Daffyaboutdaffs · 13/01/2023 07:30

Hi @greenerfingers hopefully the breastfeeding will help to burn the calories as well. I’m also doing some weight loss yoga which is quite hard but I’m hoping is burning some calories but, like you, I have also been very good with diet and only a small loss of 1lb

Bowbellsx · 13/01/2023 10:23

im really struggling I love my food so much before I got pregnant I was 9st6lbs since having my daughter I’ve gone up to 13st and look wider I just can’t seem to stop thinking about food I’m so unhappy with the way I look but can’t seem to stop

Tuesday weigh in 14st 10lbs. Only 1lb this week but kept mostly on track with food etc. I know I need to up my exercise to see bigger results but at the moment just can't find the motivation in the cold and wet. But not beating myself up, taking small steps and hoping it will encourage me to keep going. Hope everyone is doing well?

I've lost 3lb in 3 weeks, I'm trying not to get fixated on good and bad foods, and go for a slow and steady loss, lifestyle change rather than diet with an end date.

I watched a video by someone who'd lost a few stone, but it took her 18 months, as she'd changed her lifestyle around food rather than diet. My current diet obviously doesn't work, I've put on 5 stone in 7 years, so it needs to be a lifestyle change rather than diet them back to normal

1lb a week is maintainable rather than a quick fox to put it back on.

I'm with you about exercise at the moment, it's too cold and I just can't be arsed to move more at the moment
