Ozempic. Where to buy from?

Where's the best place to buy from? And does a 1mg pen last 4 weeks? I'm a little confused

Thanks in advance

Quick Meds sell this - I use them for my Saxenda. I was very impressed with the process and the way the pens were packaged. I also have a 5% discount voucher for my next order.

FlorencePennnywell · 28/08/2022 17:17

Thanks for that. I'll have a google

Found it online for £123 for a 1mg pen, so that's quite good value

You have to be a bit careful as there are some scammers out there. I've lost nearly 4 stone on Ozempic so far (I count calories also but it makes a deficit easy) and I get mine from here and they are very quick and reliable:

medicalweightloss4u.co.uk/

I buy 1mg pens but I take 0.5mg about every 5 days so the pen lasts longer, I haven't needed to move up to a bigger dose yet.

You still have to put the effort in but it makes me feel like a "normal" eater at last.

Bistrobore · 28/08/2022 23:04

@DareDevil223 thats fascinating regarding your dosage. I'm just moving up to the 1mg pen. But I don't feel like I need the whole amount. I was going to do the 0.5 every 5 days from a 0.5 pen. How do I dose 0.5 from a 1mg pen please?

Currently using MyBMI but paying £199. Think I get 5 doses out of one pen. Obviously anything to reduce the amount I'm paying would be great.

DareDevil223 · 28/08/2022 23:13

@Bistrobore 0.5 dose is 36 clicks, I pay £140 for my pen. I've attached a click chart for you which will hopefully work!

Ozempic. Where to buy from?
Bistrobore · 29/08/2022 00:19

Thank you @DareDevil223 .

For clarity that's the clicks needed on a 1mg pen?

Well done on the weight loss! May I ask how long it it's taken? I've lost 18lb in 11 weeks which sounds great but I lost 14lb in 10 days and it's taken me the other 9 ish weeks to lose the extra 😬. I've done 5ish weeks on 0.25mg and 5ish on 0.5mg. I'm feeling a bit despondent now at rate of loss. Though I love the new mindset, I'm very unbothered by food, keep to approx 1500 cals per day without too much effort. Far better than the obsession with food and daily mental battle not to binge which is my natural state, sadly.

FlorencePennnywell · 29/08/2022 09:00

@DareDevil223 I bought the 1mg and intend to just start off with maybe 0.25 and see how I feel. Worried it'll make me feel sick!

You're doing so well. How long until you started to feel the effects? I need to lose 21lbs so maybe not absolutely loads but I need this prod to get things moving again

OP posts:
FlorencePennnywell · 29/08/2022 09:02

@Bistrobore well done on your loss to date!

Can I ask if you felt your appetite suppressed on 0.25? I want to start as small as I can and go up when I need to

OP posts:
DareDevil223 · 29/08/2022 09:23

I felt the effects pretty much instantly. I always inject at night which helps I think. Not going to lie, the first few days were really rough and I felt pretty nauseous and very tired and the sulphur burps were the worst.

I have very few side effects now except for the desired one of reduced appetite. It's taken me most of this year to lose 4 stone but I was seriously considering bariatric surgery so it's worth it for me. I want to lose the same again. I'm also in my mid 50s and post menopausal so that's against me!

DareDevil223 · 29/08/2022 09:24

I started on 0.5 straight away didn't try 0.25.

Grumbleton · 29/08/2022 09:38

@FlorencePennnywell can I ask where you’ve found 1mg for £123 please as I’m paying about £20 more each month and would like to pay less if possible!

FlorencePennnywell · 29/08/2022 09:44

@Grumbleton the London pharmacy! Used code 5OFF which took it to £123.

I know the company anyway as have ordered bits and pieces from them in the past so felt relatively confident

I've been prescribed this for diabetes but I'm not able to get hold of it and can't afford to buy it privately.
Worrying times.

FlorencePennnywell · 29/08/2022 09:48

@DareDevil223 I'll try injecting at night I think as I'm keen to minimise side effects and if there's one thing I always struggle with - it's feeling nauseous! You didn't find it caused any sleeping issues for you?

I also read that putting it in your thigh can help with potential side effects

OP posts:
FlorencePennnywell · 29/08/2022 09:48

@Forconfessingonly oh that's not good. Is there a shortage where you are

OP posts:
Forconfessingonly · 29/08/2022 09:51

I don't know what's going on.
I was prescribed it in July and the pharmacy has told me twice now that they're not able to get it.

I've tried other pharmacies and had the same response.

I was advised by the pharmacist yesterday to go back to the Dr and discuss using something different. Disappointing because it's supposed to have very good results for diabetes.

Lulibee · 29/08/2022 16:58

I’m on Saxenda which is working well. It has a half life of 13 hours (then potency decreases). I take it at 12 noon and it works really well up until around 2am. From then on, I can feel hungry. Usually I sleep through it but I wake up very hungry.

I’m wondering if Ozempic (with it being once per week) provides a continuous feeling of not feeling hungry.

Lulibee · 29/08/2022 17:04

Have you checked on the Boots ‘stock check’? In my area it is available but not at all the stores, but within reasonable travel distance. Not sure if this link will work

www.boots.com/online/psc/

FlorencePennnywell · 29/08/2022 17:08

@Lulibee how have you been getting on with it? I didn't really consider saxenda but can't recall why now! Probably because I'm lazy and once a week seems more enticing

I'm going to try starting on the lowest dose and just see if it's effective. Because I only (ha, only!) have 21 lbs to lose, I'm hoping I won't have to stay on it too long

Just hoping for low side effects and some appetite suppressing

How much have you lost so far

OP posts:
Gonewiththewindbeforelong · 29/08/2022 17:09

Please be careful. This put my friend in hospital 3 weeks ago.

I’d suggest trying something like Keto800 for results before this pen if you’re insistent on trying it.

FlorencePennnywell · 29/08/2022 17:33

I don't like keto diets and they don't work well for me as I'm vegan so it's incredibly difficult to eat well on them

Thank you for the warning but the post is about cheapest places to buy and not about whether I should or not

OP posts:
Lulibee · 29/08/2022 17:41

I’m getting in really well with it. My appetite was hugely suppressed from day 2 and the only side affects I’ve experienced are a dry mouth, slight loss of taste and tiredness. From what I have read the tiredness abates from around 2.5 weeks. The reduced loss in taste is very welcome - I no longer get any urges for sugary foods eg chocolate, biscuits etc, no urge for crisps, alcohol, spicy food or takeaways.

The only issue I have is that I do get very hungry from 2am onwards (I’ve been up a couple of nights watching Netflix) - but it’s not really a problem as it’s not when I would usually eat anyway. My danger times are 3:30pm - 11 and Saxenda works really well. I’m not snacking between meals and meals are small (and more than sufficient).

I plan to try Ozempic if Saxenda stops working but was out off by what I had read about side affects. Although now I have read more about the drug research results, I wish I had chosen Ozempic. But, I won’t swap as Saxenda is working so well for me.

I’m on day 13 and on 1.2mg - the regimen is to titration up to 1.8 this week, 2.4mg next week and then be in the optimal dose of 3mg the week after. People do report more side affects at higher doses so my fingers are crossed that it remains tolerable.

Lulibee · 29/08/2022 17:47

The clinical research proves that these drugs are safe. There is always an exception to the rule of course.

These drugs are used by millions of people worldwide, prescribed by the NHS but are difficult to access. Therefore many people are buying privately through regulated pharmacies.

I hope your friend recovers quickly, but please be aware that all drugs will have create adverse events in a small number of patients.

FlorencePennnywell · 29/08/2022 18:16

@Lulibee weirdly, I thought the sax side effects were worse than the Oz so it seems like they're pretty much on a par depending on what you want

Sounds like you're doing great though so best to stick with what's working for now until it's not working.

I'll keep you posted on how (if) it suppresses my appetite - I'm hoping it will
