The thing about non-food treats is that I don't usually deny myself anything, if I want it I just get it, so apart from food there aren't really any treats that I want. I could probably use more massages from dh though - perhaps that would do instead of chocolate .

miam · 14/12/2004 14:37

I was going to say what woodpops said, bran, about it perhaps being thirst more than hunger. I drink a load of water a day and feel that it keeps the hunger pangs at bay.

Good going wrapme ! I atlast seem to be off the plateau - lost another pound again. I seem to have a cycle of losing weight then sticking. I suppose that is only to be expected, especially since I don't have so much to lose now. Are you all going to keep up your diets over the hols???

BRANdybutter · 14/12/2004 14:38

Woodpops, I am awash with water . I think it's probably the power of suggestion, Christmas is a very food-y time of year. I will just put up with it for a little longer, and then give in with a clear-ish conscience.

OhComeLetUsADiorHim · 14/12/2004 20:43

Woodpops - Amazing weight loss. Well done. I'm very

StuffTheMagicTurkey · 15/12/2004 22:06

Posting my weight loss a day late, but, good news - I've lost 3 and three quarters of a pound - back to being a good girl at last .

wrapmefestively · 15/12/2004 22:51

Fantastic stuffthemagicturkey!

BRANdybutter · 16/12/2004 10:48

Oops, I knew I was in trouble this week - I put on 1/2 lb . That was my last weigh-in until 12th January, my aim is just be be as good as I can be and not to put on more than 7 lbs over Christmas.

Very well done Stuff, you must be pleased.

jnbsmum · 16/12/2004 18:23

Hello all. sorry its been so long. Looks like everyone is doing fantasticaly.
I'm not doing too bad at the moment. Since the last time i posted (about 4 weeks ago) ive lost 7 pounds. A whole loss of 1stone and 4lbs. Feel like ive had 2 really bad weeks at the moment. I cant get into it. I think i must have put about 2lbs on this week but didnt go to my weigh in. On the plus side i actually walked into new look the other day and managed to buy a normal 18. That realy feels good. But i really need to get myself back into the swing of things or else im going to gain over christmas and wont be able to buy any normal clothes again.
Someone nock me into shape. I feel so naughty

glitterfairy · 17/12/2004 16:26

Hi Guys how are you all???? I know I have been absent a wee while but am ok. My personal life hs been going through a massive upheaval and am just starting to sort it out. So dieting has not really been my top priority.

Anyway am off to the gym this weekend again and will try a little before I go on holiday with Beety and have to appear shamedly before her in a swimming costume! Oh HELP!!!!

Champs and Bran you both seem to be doing fine. I am glad.

BRANdybutter · 17/12/2004 17:04

jnbsmum do you have a weigh-in next week? You should go, even if you have put on weight at least you will know. I would be very strict and with you, but I had my last weigh-in for 3 weeks on Wednesday, and last night I had a huge meal with lots of wine, dessert and chocolates so I really can't tell anyone else that they should be good. I do think that missing a weigh-in because you're afraid you've put on is a slippery slope, first you miss one, then two, then a whole month goes by, so you should definitely go to your next weigh-in.

BRANdybutter · 17/12/2004 17:05

Glitterfairy, don't be scared, I'm sure Beetroot will be kind. I expect she will send you back at the end of the holiday with a new, stricter detox regime though. I hope you have a great time, Egypt isn't it?

champs · 17/12/2004 23:31

hi all!! everyone is doing so well!! keep it up.
Woodpops!! what a GREAT weightloss, a 12??!!! you have done extremely well you must be so pleased.
Glitter! Hi my hun. Long time no see am glad to hear from you. as bran says, beety is sure to be very kind. You will have a great time. the swimsuit is a great motivation boost tho.
bran, as long as we don't over do it we will be fine. IME it is very frustrating when you are dieting at Christmas.

I am sooooooooooo happy !!!!!! I have been stuck round about 10st/9.13 for about 2 weeks although I have been sticking to my diet perfectly. But today I am 9.10!!! This is the lowest I have been for 10 years - can't believe it!

Well done stuff!!! Keep it up everyone. xx

glitterfairy · 19/12/2004 16:15

Thanks guys! miam well done indeed!

Beety wont be kind at all you have all misjudged her she is a vixen when it comes to my diets and quite frankly will give me a good kicking and the dh as well.

Anyway have a variety of sarongs to hid anything too awful! LOL Yes Brandy butter (yum yum) I am going to egypt and Beets and I will have 7 kids between us! We will have to find an internet connection and wish everyone happy new year.

woodpops · 19/12/2004 21:40

Evening all, everyone's doing soooooooooo well on here I wonder how much weight we've all lost if we add it all together?? This week I've lost 3½lb so I'm now at 60lb. I still can't believe it. I'm so determined to keep it off as well.

I can't wait for Xmas day to eat. Mind you saying that I'll probably be full on a mouthful of turkey seeing as I've gone 12 weeks without food!!!!

champs · 21/12/2004 00:31

Crossing my fingers for you champs. AM really looking forward to going away and sun sun sun.

woodpops · 21/12/2004 10:25

7 kids, I feel exhauseted just thinking about it. Have a fab time though.

BRANdybutter · 21/12/2004 10:43

Hi all . I've stopped tracking until 2nd week of Jan, and sure enough I've been eating, including chocolate . I think it's the gallons of white wine that's going to do the real damage though. The withdrawal symptoms are going to be nasty, so you'll be hearing a lot from me in January .

Champs, your period will arrive on Christmas morning - I can guarantee it . I know mine will.

Glitterfairy - is it really a holiday with 7 children going along? Just watch what they eat, I shudder to think of seven of them all vomiting in tandem.

Keep up the good work Woodpops, you put me to shame.

I must go and do some work - I've only got 4 working days between now and my week off in January, and I've got about 7 days worth of work to do .

StuffTheMagicTurkey · 21/12/2004 17:59

Helloo all. I haven't weighed my self this week, but I haven't been eating much so I've either lost or stayed the same. I'm going to leave getting on the scales now til next Tues when I will consider what to do about Christmas excesses!

OhComeLetUsADiorHim · 21/12/2004 19:39

I'm weighing myself Friday morning, on my own scales. Then, I will know how much damage I have done over the Xmas period. However, will not weigh myself again until NY Eve, so will have a whole week to try to undo any damage. We're not doing anything NY Eve, so a couple of glasses of vino are all that can affect my weight loss around New Year.

champs · 22/12/2004 00:45

thanks glitter!! cross your toes too!
Bran--- that would be just my luck.
puff and dior, I think I will do that too.
