Two week kick-start

CourtneeLuv · 25/07/2022 07:10

Hi, I've been messing around lately, and not lost anything, have even put on. I have around 3st to go, already lost 3st.

I have an event in two weeks, and am going to try to get back in the zone and lose some bloat to try to feel good in my outfit. I'll keep it going past the two week mark too.

Anyone want to join me?

Starting weight 182lbs
Goal weight 133lbs
(my scales are in pounds)

It's all up in the air, they changed the terms on us so we are going to turn it down but another place has come up so we are waiting for the keys to go and look at it. Its annoying because I wanted to be out of this place and in the next for the 1st.

Ideally I'd like to put it off until 1st Feb now due to a lot of renewal payments coming out in Jan but it is what it is.

christmas2022 · 29/12/2022 09:08

Oh no that is annoying. Agree 1st Feb sounds more ideal - hope it all pans out in the end.

christmas2022 · 29/12/2022 11:59

Weighed today although did have heavier clothes on and was 165lb.

Cheese and crackers are on the menu today. Going to try to not have alcohol though.

CourtneeLuv · 29/12/2022 15:32

Thanks, it will all sort itself out. In the end 😂

I've had a bacon and hash brown pitta this morning and just had a hot chocolate and a fat sprite at the pub.

Got chicken and salad for dinner, and maybe another pitta might make its way onto my plate 🤭

Start Weight: 202.8/14st 4lbs
Goal Weight: 133/9st 7lbs
To go: 70.8/5st

BG: 11.6mmol

Ok time to get my shit in order! I'm starting fresh today. I've had a lot of encouragement to start in the week or next Monday but for me, I need to start today, the 1st.

I'm back to work tomorrow so will get into a routine of dog walk, work, gym or exercise class.

I've got to drop out all the bad carbs, snacking, sugar.

Drink 3 litres of water a day.

Do a minimum of 10k steps a day, I've joined the Samsung health step challenge which kept me motivated when I was up to nearly 25k steps a day on my cross-trainer.

I'm going to reintroduce an eating window and a calorie limit which I might vary every other day to do alternative day fasting along with intermittent.

I'm going to aim for eggs for breakfast at 12, salad for lunch at 4 and soup for dinner at 8 maybe.

Great 1st Jan post and your plan of action sounds fair and reasonable. AND more importantly achievable.

This is a journey and we won't be perfectly on the right road all of the time. Getting the right balance and tipping the scales more towards weight loss than weight gain is the key to success.

Be patient, stick with it and we will get there.

I'll weigh soon and set out my intentions.

christmas2022 · 01/01/2023 11:35

11st 9.8lb today
163.8lb

Goal weight is 10st 4lb (144lb)

1st 5.7 to lose
Approx 20lb to lose

Setting intentions to:
Lose 1lb per week
Drink 2-3 pints water / squash
6k steps per day
Increase fruit/veg/salad intake

I'll start with that and see how I go.

CourtneeLuv · 01/01/2023 15:08

Yes, we will get there. Your aims sound very do-able.

I'm regretting the steps, I cut my big toe nail too short and now my toe is cut and its quite painful 🙄

I'm only up to 1500. I'll carry on with them on the cross trainer later in flip flops or bare feet.

OP posts:
christmas2022 · 01/01/2023 20:58

Ouch

My steps are not near 6k today

CourtneeLuv · 01/01/2023 21:18

I've done 2500 steps today. 2l water.

Food:
Decaf tea, 2 stevia, tsp milk
Chicken
Cherry tomatoes
A couple of slices of chorizo (wafer thin, not coins)
More cherry tomatoes
Chicken, salad: avocado, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, red onion, radish and roast med veg and broccoli and cauliflower. And I did have a bit of mayonnaise on the Chicken.

198.8 lbs this morning.

I won't check my BG every day, I'll check that again next Monday.

I want to try to complete my steps today but to be honest, I feel achey and like I've got no energy. I feel like I want to give it a week of eating healthily to get some inflammation out of me first. I know doing the exercise gets it out quicker but I'm not going to be too militant this week, I haven't done anything for months so need to build up again.

It would be easy to do all the steps if I went for a walk outside but I'm working til 6 so I'll do as many as I can on my cross trainer tonight.

christmas2022 · 02/01/2023 17:20

Up to 166.2 today.

Not properly started yet.

christmas2022 · 03/01/2023 07:34

165lb

Did about 5k steps yesterday and only managed one pint squash. Didn't eat too healthy.

I'm going to do dry January also.

Hoping to get the first 5lb off relatively quickly to get back to the 160 mark I was maintaining at.

CourtneeLuv · 03/01/2023 08:13

You'll get there if you go back to eating healthily, most if that will probably be water/salt/sugar bloat so should drop fairly easily.

198.6 lbs today. Yesterday I had:

B: Half a 3 egg omelette, with 2 slices of bacon, 3 cherry tomatoes and 2 cheese slices in.

L: a small (dip) bowl of peanuts and dry roasted nuts.

S: about 4 pieces of pork scratching and a tiny bit of alioli.

D: homemade chilli (mince, kidney beans, onion, garlic, red & green pepper, chopped tomatoes & herbs and spices) and side salad (spinach, cucumber, avocado, cherry tomatoes, radish, red onion with lemon juice, olive oil, salt & pepper). No rice or tortilla.

2 decaf teas, with stevia & tsp milk.
2l water.

2500 steps.

Are you working to a calorie limit and how are you tracking your calories?

CourtneeLuv · 03/01/2023 13:30

I haven't started counting calories yet, I'm concentrating on dropping out the carbs and sugar at the moment. Starting to crave a bit of chocolate or cake today.

OP posts:
CourtneeLuv · 03/01/2023 13:32

I'll use the Samsung health tracker to record my food/calories though once I start tracking cals, I need to get new batteries for my kicthen scales.

OP posts:
Diet2023 · 03/01/2023 16:50

I've NC for the new year.

I'm also not calorie counting and would like to avoid it if I can but will see how it goes.

I haven't worn my step counter today but expect my steps to be very low. Think it could take me a couple of weeks to fully hit all the goals.

CourtneeLuv · 03/01/2023 20:07

That's OK though, its a marathon, not a sprint. Thats what I'm telling myself now anyway.

I'm up to 4076 steps so far today. I did a jungle fight klub class from YouTube with my friend tonight.

Today I've eaten

B: 2 egg omelette with cherry tomatoes, chorizo, cheese and some mediterranean veg that was leftover from the other day.

L: a small dip bowl of nuts.

D: a bowl of chilli and salad.

2l water
1 decaf tea with 2 stevia and milk
2 mango green teas with 2 stevia

OP posts:
Diet2023 · 04/01/2023 07:38

164.2lb

Sounds like you had a good day and keeping well hydrated.

Today is the most normal day I've had since before Christmas with routines so will try to eat well at lunch and dinner. Cup of tea for breakfast and getting some water in.

Step counter flat so will charge that and see if I can get some steps in too.

CourtneeLuv · 04/01/2023 08:12

Back to normality will be good, I find routines really help.

I'm 198.9 today.

My plan today is to drop out the nuts and maybe the chilli is too carby, I only put a small amount of kidney beans compared to everything else though. There's only enough left for today now so I'll plan something better for tomorrow.

I need to start calorie counting now too obviously.

OP posts:
Diet2023 · 05/01/2023 08:03

164.2lb again today

About 4k steps yesterday

Managed three pints of water and two reasonable meals.

Need to start hitting 6k

CourtneeLuv · 05/01/2023 09:07

I need to up my steps too, and sort my food out. Its low carb but too high calorie I think. And salty.

199.8 today.

Yesterday I had

B: 2 egg omelette, cherry tomatoes, red onion, 2 slices chorizo, 2 cheese slices

L: nuts

D: donner meat, onions, chilli sauce

Today I'm planning to have omelette, tuna salad and chicken and salad or veg.

OP posts:
CourtneeLuv · 05/01/2023 09:09

Oh and I had a can of caffeine free diet coke after my dinner too 😳

OP posts:
Diet2023 · 06/01/2023 07:24

164lb I do not want to see any number higher than this from now.

Pre Christmas my weekends were where I'd ease off a little bit after a few weeks of indulgence I'm not letting that happen over the next few weeks. No alcohol will help with that.

Hope your day went to plan yesterday.

My steps were around 4k and im determined to get 6k at least today.
