Two week kick-start

CourtneeLuv · 25/07/2022 07:10

Hi, I've been messing around lately, and not lost anything, have even put on. I have around 3st to go, already lost 3st.

I have an event in two weeks, and am going to try to get back in the zone and lose some bloat to try to feel good in my outfit. I'll keep it going past the two week mark too.

Anyone want to join me?

Starting weight 182lbs
Goal weight 133lbs
(my scales are in pounds)

170.8

No exercise apart from a bit of walking.

CourtneeLuv · 06/08/2022 08:51

Still 176.6lbs. I'm getting smaller but the scales aren't moving.

Same food of yoghurt, salad and omelettes.

When you exercise you change shape and tone up more / that's what I need to do. I think I'll set a plan for the next coming week to get three fitness sessions in of some sort.

christmas2022 · 08/08/2022 08:18

171.2

Gone up a bit. Usually expected on the weekend.

I'm also on the diet for Christmas thread not sure if you've seen that one.

It's 19 weeks till Christmas so my aim will be to lose 1lb per week.

christmas2022 · 09/08/2022 08:06

171.2

CourtneeLuv · 09/08/2022 08:17

180 this morning 🙈

I had a chip roll & chicken nuggets, a cornetto, and chocolate yesterday, but I did do bootcamp in the morning and boxing in the evening.

christmas2022 · 09/08/2022 09:15

Plenty of water today and it will flush out.

I went 300 calories over yesterday having pudding.

Try again today!

christmas2022 · 11/08/2022 07:46

171.2

christmas2022 · 11/08/2022 07:47

Seem to be stuck at the current 171.2

Still haven't done any fitness so think that's what I need to get doing again.

CourtneeLuv · 12/08/2022 05:49

I've had a few bad days, chicken nuggets, chips, cornettos etc. I was 182 yesterday. Decided to do a 3 day fast to reset, started at 11.30pm on Wednesday. Still feel ok now, I've got bootcamp this morning so might need to break it after if I'm really hungry. 178.6 just now.

It's not easy this weight loss lark is it?

I take a couple of steps forward and a few back and seem to end up cycling the same few pounds over and over. I don't know how to stick to it for long enough to break the cycle.

I'm 171lb today.

Here we are at another weekend where life gets in the way. I think I just need to make the good choices where I can.

Still no fitness for me it's far too hot. Next week I will try again with this, baby steps. Probably 45m over the week in 15m sessions just to get started without it being too much.

How is the fasting going? That sounds hard! Especially if you're working out too.

CourtneeLuv · 12/08/2022 22:31

It's going well! 48 hours in and I haven't really been hungry. I find this easier than 'trying to be good' tbh.

OP posts:
CourtneeLuv · 13/08/2022 07:33

57 hours in, still not hungry, my fasting blood glucose was 5.3 today, I hit 9.1 the other day 😱

The hardest thing about it has been fighting the urge to eat just because I want to eat something, not because I'm actually hungry, but even that hasn't been more than a minor niggle.

OP posts:
christmas2022 · 13/08/2022 13:36

I couldn't imagine not eating for that long. When will you break your fast?

I'm 172lb today and have a social later so likely to be higher tomorrow. Will be 100% from tomorrow and all next week though.

CourtneeLuv · 14/08/2022 06:04

I broke it at 68 hours, I had dinner yesterday. My blood sugar was as low as it was going to get and eating low carb has the same results pretty much. And it was really hot here, probably around 40/41 so my husband wanted me to eat something too, but I felt fine and could have carried on, but he tempted me with the seafood stall so I had prawns, crabsticks and salad.

I think I'll do it again next week, I have to time when I do it because of my exercise. I have none on Thursday so I'll start on Wednesday again, because I was fine doing Fridays class, this time.

CourtneeLuv · 14/08/2022 06:07

176.7lbs and BG of 6.0 today. I had seafood sauce from a jar which I probably shouldn't have had.

I'm going to some lakes/waterfalls so will do loads of swimming today.

OP posts:
christmas2022 · 14/08/2022 07:30

Well done on your fast. I don't really know about blood sugar levels and what they mean.

Your swimming today sounds lovely.

I didn't track what I ate yesterday and haven't weighed yet this morning.

Plan is to start afresh today, drink plenty of water and healthy foods.

CourtneeLuv · 14/08/2022 08:44

I've had a yoghurt and pb, no honey so far and I've made a salad to take with me.

Anything between 6.0 and 11.0 mmol is pre diabetic and anything 11 and over is diabetic. The aim is to be 5.9 or under.

An easy way to enhance your walking pay-off: wear ankle and wrist weights. In fact wear them all day long if you can. Your future bones will thank you!

Read her guide to these programmes and listen to the introductions at the beginning of each workout. Use much, much lighter weights (2-3kg if you are a novice) and - very important - go at your own pace.

christmas2022 · 17/08/2022 08:29

170.4 this morning which I think is the lowest since we started.

Thanks for the exercise tips I'll check them out. Weighted walks sounds good.

You use a finger prick blood glucose monitor.

I was doing well thus week until Tuesday night, my friend made me go to a Chinese buffet, yesterday I had some biscuits but it back to it today 💪

Starting to get annoyed with the constant up and down!

CourtneeLuv · 22/08/2022 06:38

Well, the less said about this weekend, the better.

Starting this week at 184.3 and 7.5mmol.

Sick if this shite too so am going to get back on it properly now.

How's everyone else doing?

OP posts:
christmas2022 · 22/08/2022 08:23

That's not too bad for me considering it has been the weekend.

I am going to try 100% from today until Thursday - taking it a few days at a time!
