Two week kick-start

CourtneeLuv · 25/07/2022 07:10

Hi, I've been messing around lately, and not lost anything, have even put on. I have around 3st to go, already lost 3st.

I have an event in two weeks, and am going to try to get back in the zone and lose some bloat to try to feel good in my outfit. I'll keep it going past the two week mark too.

Anyone want to join me?

Starting weight 182lbs
Goal weight 133lbs
(my scales are in pounds)

160.2 today

Managed some water yesterday but also had a couple of alcoholic drinks and some chocolate.

Carby lunch but light dinner.

Looks like it's balanced itself out and I'm close enough to the 160 to feel absolutely fine.

Hope you've had a good week.

CourtneeLuv · 09/12/2022 08:38

Well done!

My week has been up and down. A few fuck it and fuck christmas vibes. I go hot and cold with christmas, this year we should have a 2 month old, a 1 year old, a 2 year old and a 3 year old over christmas/NYE week so sometimes I just can't be arsed.

I'm aiming for a better week. I'm going food shopping today so will go with a plan for the coming week. Maybe a small omelette for breakfast, a salad for lunch and protein and veg or slald for dinner. My husband is back next week too so we will be having proper dinners.

Sorry to hear that, fully entitled to feel all those emotions and often we eat out feelings.

christmas2022 · 11/12/2022 17:26

160.8 today

ytrf · 12/12/2022 07:51

160.2 today which I'm pleased with considering it's a Monday.

I must not have made too many poor decisions and I've walked quite a lot over the weekend so that may have had an impact too.

Back to the same plan for this week and next, of making good decisions during the week, no alcohol and lots of water with the treats saved for the weekend as well as socials.

I'm managing the maintaining better than I though I would, although looking forward to enjoying all the food and drinks after next Friday for the Christmas week.

Then I'll be good to go back into the diet for the new year.

Tea for breakfast instead of coffee today.

christmas2022 · 12/12/2022 15:05

What is your plan with husband home again this week?

CourtneeLuv · 12/12/2022 18:52

I'm going to try to eat homemade as much as possible. We will go out once or twice probably, or have a takeaway. I'm cooking a dahl soup at the moment. It's not low carb but it's better than mcdonalds 😬

OP posts:
christmas2022 · 12/12/2022 20:00

That sounds nice and I'm cooking a soup also! Will have for lunch tomorrow but will be with a roll too.

CourtneeLuv · 12/12/2022 23:09

I really need to get back to soups. My weakness is bread with it though too. I make homemade flatbread and it is AMAZING.

OP posts:
christmas2022 · 13/12/2022 07:57

Never made any sort of bread. I just can eat soup without it. Also I have to add cheese to any soup too so probably doesn't end up as healthy as intended. Warming and filling for this time of year though and not likely to be any more calories than other lunches I have. Looking forward to that today.

159.8 today - below my 160 target and hope to keep it below until the weekend.

Couple more socials on the horizon so want to have the flexibility but also that feel good factor of being that tiny bit lighter.

christmas2022 · 13/12/2022 07:57

Can't eat soup without bread.

CourtneeLuv · 13/12/2022 08:54

Yes soup without bread is just wrong 😂

OP posts:
christmas2022 · 14/12/2022 07:49

160.8 today

Food today is tea for breakfast
Soup again for lunch
Chicken for dinner - possibly noodles
We have a pudding tonight too

christmas2022 · 15/12/2022 08:14

160.2

Done well with no alcohol this week and only had a drink last Friday not on Saturday or Sunday. Will be looking forward to a few tomorrow.

chrimbomas · 17/12/2022 15:12

161.2 today and yesterday.

I wonder whether I'll go below 160 again before Christmas.

christmas2022 · 19/12/2022 08:17

159.2 That wasn't wholly expected on a Monday morning. Are well and drank over the weekend but food was mostly picking during the day and big dinner. Perhaps I didn't drink as much as I thought.

No real plan for the next couple of days, which I'm fine with.

CourtneeLuv · 19/12/2022 11:19

You are doing really well. I forgot to weigh again this morning, I was in a rush to let the dog out.

I just had a bacon pitta and a choolate leibnitz type biscuit with a tea. We've got camemberts for dinner so I'll have that with padron peppers instead of bread.

I'll have tuna and mayo and salad between now and dinner if i'm hungry.

The plan for tomorrow is omelette, then boquerones (anchovies) and veg or salad.

I might make bolognaise on wednseday and have that with leeks sliced longways instead of pasta.

I need to have a plan to stay on track and we also need to empty the chest freezer, we have to move and will probably be moving 3.5 hours away - we've seen something suitable in that area and are waiting to hear fom the agents.

I finally got back to doing some exercise yesterday! My friend made me go to hers and we did a fight klub junglist workout, from youtube. Only one, and only half an hour but I'm glad I did it.

I didn't struggle as much as I thought I would, fitness wise.

There's a bit where you bounce sideways and my ankle twinged a bit at that bit but otherwise it was fine.

I had a go lifting a 6kg dumbell (I've only got 2kg at home) but my arm hurt as I brought it down but I tried deadlifts and I can do those.

I'll get a Dr app yhid werk or next if they are open and speak to the Dr about going back to my bootcamp class in January, with adjustments.

197.9 lbs this morning.

christmas2022 · 21/12/2022 08:00

Well done on your fitness, does being able to exercise make a difference to what you want to eat?

I've noticed this week I'm having the odd drink a bit more and the Christmas chocolate has started.

160.4 today

Generally not doing a bad job of maintaining- wonder how difficult it will be to kick back into weight loss after the new year.

CourtneeLuv · 21/12/2022 09:26

Yes It absolutely does, I don't want to eat any junk when I'm exercising, I can feel the difference it makes to my performace and can feel the inflammation.

I'm not going to go too militant until 1st January now though. I'm going to try to make good choices between now and then but have the odd treat.

You're doing very well at maintaining, allowing for random daily fluctuations you are pretty much steady.

CourtneeLuv · 22/12/2022 13:14

197.9 again this morning.

OP posts:
christmas2022 · 23/12/2022 11:20

160 this morning.

christmas2022 · 26/12/2022 10:47

164lb today.

Not surprising and kind of part of the plan - to maintain broadly leading up to Christmas at 160 and then enjoy this Christmas week.

More food and drink on the agenda this week, not sure which day to actually restart the diet.

CourtneeLuv · 27/12/2022 07:48

I haven't been on the scales yet. And I doubt I will until the 1st.

I can feel my blood sugar is higher though so I'm going back to eggs for breakfast today, a salad at lunch and I've still got stuff we bought for Xmas Dinner to cook tonight so I might have a few potatoes but I need to get back to normal.

My friend messaged me about doing an exercise class on Thursday but yesterday, we got confirmation we can have a house we were after and we want to try to be moved in by the 1st 😬 so we don't have to pay another month's rent on the house we are in, so I think I'm going to be busy and knackered 😂

christmas2022 · 29/12/2022 08:56

Hope the move is going well. Lots of movement I would have thought from packing and unpacking.
