I'm afraid if I stop paying out for it I won't do it iykwim

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/04/2022 20:42

Yup I hear yah. You can do it

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/04/2022 06:16

137.5 so 1/2 a stone to come off and 4lb holiday weight

Gensola · 25/04/2022 07:01

That’s not too bad life - quick on and quick off!
I was supposed to be away on a work trip tomorrow and Weds (visit to a northern Uni) but it’s been moved to next week so I’m hoping for a good first week back with no reason to go off track!
PT wants photos as well as measurements and weight on Weds. I’ll be happy if I’ve maintained as not long back from NI which was a carb fest 😂
hope to have dropped 4 pounds by end of May.
happier I was just having this debate with DH who thinks I can go it alone as I know what to do now and PT is £35 a week which is huge expense but I want to keep her for another two months (May and June) to try and get to goal weight.

Not2bObvious · 25/04/2022 07:16

That's a very reasonable gain life, less than you expected as well. Win!
As you're using your PTs gen & happier then it's money well spent. If it's a significant expense that's affecting your finances, maybe a finish line needs establishing, learn what you need and learn how to apply it so you can go it alone.
I knew someone when I was younger and she had a PT, years before her time. He was like a paid hanger on'er. And he was super spensey- eventually she moved off to a slimming club & dropped the weight in less than a year. Probably 4 stone if I remember right. And she kept it off.

Happierwithouthim · 25/04/2022 18:30

I'm kind of in same mindset gen I planned on paying it until end June

Happierwithouthim · 25/04/2022 18:32

4lbs is very acceptable holiday gain

Not2bObvious · 25/04/2022 19:23

Having a ridiculously hungry day, over cals but hopefully still at maintenance at least. Ugh so annoying. Got around 10,000 & a 30 min bodypump so that's something

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 25/04/2022 19:39

I’ve got 200 left. No exercise but currently 13000 steps

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 25/04/2022 20:01

Evening everyone Smile
Have been extra busy the past few days so not been on here since Friday. As well as Mum's ulcer to contend with , my poor Dh has been ill since Friday with a really high temp and a sore throat aka Covid bless him ! However he is feeling a hell of a lot better today thank God! Smile
So l have missed a few posts l bet, now to catch up Smile
Gen l am so sorry to hear your Poor DH is so upset over your MIL diagnosis, bless his heart , l hope you can carry on with all your wedding plans even though he is so upset Flowers
life 4 lbs is nowt in the scheme of things Flowers
Not that's brilliant re your friend losing 4 stone after dumping her hanger on PT Smile
l am sure that you Gen & Happier know whta you are doing and will make full use of yours Smile
Not eating a lot because busy yay!

Happierwithouthim · 25/04/2022 20:23

My coach suggested 8k steps when I was feeling better - I've reached that every day since Thurs, I'd love to walk more but I'm just tired.

Finished antibiotic today

Mrs how do you do it all?

Happierwithouthim · 25/04/2022 20:23

I'm liking these from Iceland

Not2bObvious · 25/04/2022 20:41

I bought the skinny whip (I think, skinny something) in SV happier, ate 2 on my way home🤦‍♀️ Over 9gr of fibre at least? Silver lining of sorts. Well done on the 8k steps, that's decent.
Your poor dh mrs, glad he's turned a corner. I need some busy, I think I'm turning into a sloth from lack of anything to do. I've lost my energy

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 25/04/2022 20:53

Yes I've had them too not I don't rate the skinny crunch at all though

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/04/2022 06:15

Im Not keen on skinny whip. Too chewy. will
look for bliss bars too
8k steps is good but make sure you rest too happier
i get bored easily, am busy but not engaged

Not2bObvious · 26/04/2022 08:17

I thought having one for an evening snack with a small pack (65cal) corn snacks would be a good alternative to my array of snacks. Well, 2 skinny bars & 3 packs of corn snacks later, add on a small kitkat & a tunnocks caramel wafer plus 40grams of fancy crisps...yeah, think I might have misjudged my humour & capacity for rubbish food!
I'm going to do better today. Still feeling quite meh and my backs bugging me a bit. I'll turn it around

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 26/04/2022 19:54

Managed to get close to 10,000 over 2 walks. Just under calories but whether I'll stay there isn't for sure. It wouldn't be the end of the world if I go over, should still be at maintenance at least.

OP posts:
TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 26/04/2022 20:52

I think l haven't got much choice tbh with you Happier & on the plus side it stops me from scoffing crap Hmm Well done on managing the 8k steps too Smile
Great job re the steps Not you had backpain and you had a little comfort food it happens you got this Flowers Thank you re DH he is much better thak God Smile
Not tried the skinny bars think l will leave it like that too, they sound a bit too nice Grin
Life not tried Bliss bars either , are they nice?
Have been good today busy thank god !
Waves to Gen hope your Dh isn't feeling so sad today bless him Flowers

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/04/2022 06:12

Lost a bit of bloat. 14k steps still no pump but busy week

Not2bObvious · 27/04/2022 07:10

That's good life, I haven't weighed since last Friday, worried I'd be pushed over the edge into gluttony if I didn't see progress.
Today's is a body-pump day, not currently feeling like it but will push myself to do it later. Need an enthusiasm injection

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 27/04/2022 10:39

Did a small jog and some walking, 6,000 steps to start the day. 30 min body pump. Did a weigh in and down .6 on last Friday so that's lifted my spirits a bit.

OP posts:
Gensola · 27/04/2022 17:09

not I’m weighing tomorrow - haven’t weighed in ages 🫣 I meant to do it today but sadly my morning poo went on strike and I refuse to weigh unless I’ve been 😂😂
having a really yummy looking warm salad tonight with loads of veg and chickpeas and quinoa so surely I’ll be 6 stone by tomorrow?!

Not2bObvious · 27/04/2022 19:58

Sadly my movements, ahem, do feck all for my scales but I still live in hope😂
Your salad sounds incredibly virtuous and absolutely if there's any justice you'd be a twig after it!
Bought a treat for dinner & it was vile, so I had to abandon half of it. Bloody starving now Angry

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 27/04/2022 20:02

Oh I hate when that happens not
200 calories in the bank this week so far and 14k steps today

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 27/04/2022 20:12

Well time to confess, l went for my annual medical this morning, bloods galore and B/P, weight taken , l have put on 1 stone since they last weighed me there a year ago, despite me trying my bloody best to stop comfort eating l think it's a lot to do with being immobile because of my spinal stenosis though , flaming hell l have got to sort myself out . I will have to start weighing and stick to it rigidly from now on , l have had a shock l can tell you !
Anyway something to lighten the mood Smile
I have a couple of birthdays coming up and bought from Amazon what l thought was a beautiful flowering Azalea , instead l had a bald plant sent me
Never again will l buy plants from Amazon ! It has made me have a good old laugh though it's terrible ! Grin

It made me lol though, have a look at it lol , it's as bald as a coot
