On another note l have done a slow cooker meatball bolognaise for our meal for tonight , all fat removed plenty of tomatoes and onions , got it on low all day so it should be done by tonight.
Hope everyone is ok Flowers

mrs of course I don’t mind ♥️ I know you have my best interests at heart. I think atm she will pay from her savings plus her pension but the pension only covers 1.5 weeks a month so the savings will go quickly. Ultimately the house will have to be sold to pay for her care. It’s all very stressful especially as she desperately doesn’t want to go into a home at all so she’s angry and miserable all the time.
we don’t know if she has signed stuff over to them or not - how can we find out?

Aw bless you sweetheart thank you Flowers l am so relieved you are not going to foot the bill .l don't know how you can find out tbh but imho your MIL doesn't sound like the sort of person who would have the generosity of spirit to relinquish ownership of her home .

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/10/2022 07:26

Either by asking
or possibly a land registry search to see who had the title deed

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/10/2022 07:27

if it’s in her will it’s of no consequence as that’s not taken into account until after death

Happierwithouthim · 20/10/2022 23:33

Hi how's everyone?

Gensola · 21/10/2022 12:27

Hey happier! I’m ok, have been so busy at work but trying to walk for at least 30-60 mins a day. There has been too much junk and booze. I’m hoping to get that sorted this week. How are you?

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/10/2022 07:20

Not great, short diet and no gym. Starting today s as I feel meh

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 22/10/2022 17:51

Am ok here just about keeping a lid on my scoffing but as for everything else it's all gone to pot 🙄 l am so fed up of groundhog Day looking after Bob , taking him to see Mum then coming home we haven't had a day off since August 22 when Mum went into hospital .
Glad you are ok Gen 💐
Life it's tiresome isn't it 🙄
Hi Happier good to see you sweetheart 😊
Dh made soup for me from Endame beans, sweet potato , coconut milk and Garam Masala and l don't like it 😊🙄
I will have to pretend while tipping it down the sink won't l lol 😂

Happierwithouthim · 26/10/2022 09:47

Ooh mrsmadevans you will have to pretend seeing as he made the effort Grin
How's your Mum doing? His family don't realise how lucky they are that you're willing to care for their dad

I'm in a bit of a funk, my throat is acting up, it's coming up to my bf's anniversary and I'm feeling fat! But I'm not binging or sabotaging so I think that's good

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 26/10/2022 14:59

It's ok Happier Halloween Grin l told him l was in terrible pain from wind cramps and it must have been the soup lol !
Thank you for asking Mum, is much better , they still have to get her walking and until then she can't go home but it is looking hopeful. We are going to get carers in to look after Mum now because she needs much more care than we can give her. She will have to bed block until they can sort this out for her . Apparently there is a nationwide shortage of carers and it could take months to sort out .
l felt guilty because l could have her home but we can't look after her 24/7 and my brother and sister have no intention of helping to look after so l have to look out for myself and my little family.
I hope you have a brilliant time at you BF birthday party and wear something that makes you feel gorgeous Halloween Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/10/2022 21:00

Definitely do not take her home rather hard as that is

gosh that year has gone weirdly fast and yet slow happier.
im in a funk too as I completely dicked up an interview for a promo. Monday, I’m cc from then and well-being focus until then

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 27/10/2022 18:49

Thank you for the support Life l can't do it anymore it's impossible , we would have no life at all Sad
Life l am so sorry you didn't have a good interview. It's so disheartening Flowers

Gensola · 27/10/2022 18:53

mrs I agree completely you have to look after yourself too. I hope you’re ok.
life sorry about the interview ♥️

I have put on more weight argh, work skirts are tight. Need to sort it out!

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/10/2022 07:49

I was totally gutted and quite upset but a day off and some self care and I’m picking myself up.
i took the dog for a huge walk and did some baking
I did just shy of 20k steps but had loads of pasta for dinner

Monday I will be ON IT, promise

welcome mrs, it really is awful especially the guilt and pressure from care teams but you have to hold firm

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 28/10/2022 20:08

Gen thank you so much sweetheart Smile
Don't worry about the weight you have had a lot on your plate lately be kind to you lovely Flowers
Life l am sorry you were upset by the interview bless you , l'm glad you got your head around it and had a great day with the pooch Smile
Thank you for the support it means a hell of a lot especially when l am coming under pressure from the nursing staff/family/ MumBobs and the pressure l put on myself as well which in some ways is the worst because l have to really tell myself off Smile but l am staying firm . We cannot do it anymore and that is it !

Happierwithouthim · 04/11/2022 12:34

How is everyone doing?
I've had a bit of a breakthrough with a gynae appt, so hoping that they'll actually explain to me now why I've not menstruated for almost 9 years since my last baby even thought I'm not menopausal!

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 04/11/2022 17:36

Happier that is brilliant news Flowers Don't take any crap is my advice . Good luck !
Been ok food wise just stable l think which considering the terrible groundhog day of misery l am leading is bloody good! Nay a bloody miracle GrinHope everyone is ok Smile
Especially you Gen thinking of you and your Dh sweetheart Flowers

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/11/2022 18:41

Great news happier
i keep promising a start and failing but back at the gym

Gensola · 06/11/2022 09:53

Ok so I got on the scales and I’m 7 pounds up on where I was before wedding in Aug 🙀
I have decided this is IT now, I know exactly what I am doing wrong (booze most nights, crisps and crap, biscuits etc).
CW: 133 - GW: 122. I’m determined to do this!!
happier I hope you get answers 💜

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/11/2022 07:16

I’m not weighing this morning as no where near enough to drink this weekend and carbs
today I’m on it

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 07/11/2022 08:10

I don't blame you not weighing Life . It won't be your true weight imho anyway . 💐
Gen half a stone on , you have been through so much these past few months . Be kind to yourself and don't beat yourself up 💐
Not please don't think we have forgotten about you either sweetheart ❤️
I forgot to mention that l was weighed when l went for my Echocardiogram. I was the same weight l have been for a few months now . I can't tell you how much because it's far too much and l am embarrassed to tell you but suffice to say l am taking the rough with the smooth and being positive it's not more than it was considering all that has happened in the last 12 weeks.
Have a lovely day everyone 😘

Happierwithouthim · 07/11/2022 15:25

I've gotten out of stepping up on the scales tbh because nothing was changing there, I'm roughly the same though because of fit in my clothes.

I'm not tracking either but sticking basically to 3 meals and drinking plenty of water. I'm going to ask GP to prescribe Ozempic I think after this next batch of bloods is taken on Wed, might get flu jab while I'm with nurse getting bloods taken.

gen you've had a lot going on, get back on the wagon but don't look backwards with regret either.

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/11/2022 17:17

I agree that’s not much in the grand scheme of things Gen,

day 1 chez life = bollocks

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 07/11/2022 19:41

Life sorry you've had a rough day Flowers
Happier l hope you get the Ozempic , l have heard a lot about it mostly good
Smile
