Nothing like a visit to the doctor to kick the wind out of your sails mrs, a stone isn't at all bad over a year, it's just over a pound a month which is less than 135 cals extra a day! You're clearly not comforting yourself too much with that little. If I'd your workload I'd have comforted myself into a 3 stone gain! If you do decide to start weighing, I really do recommend twice to thrice a week and calling your lowest number that weeks weight. Bloody average weight sucks, and quite honestly once I pretty much stuck to moderate cals/moderate activity, I have seen losses each week even if it's just .2 of a pound.
This time next year you could be 2 stone lighter!
That plant looks in need of comfort😂

mrs we have all been there on the dreaded Dr’s scales! I’m sure they add pounds on somehow as I’m always much heavier there than at home 😂
that plant is a bit underwhelming I have to admit. Our canteen is closed today and didn’t bring lunch (staffing issues apparently) so will have to go and forage for myself which is annoying as I had leftovers I could have brought in.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 28/04/2022 21:21

Aw thank you Not & Gen l have tried my best today , it's made me sit up l can tell you & if l lost weight l am sure l would be able to move more without pain , it's that vicious circle, l have pain so l comfort eat , l comfort eat & put on weight and makes my pain worse the heavier l am Hmm
Hope everyone is doing grand Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/04/2022 06:17

Ah mrs have a big hug. It’s a vicious cycle we all know it.
doing ok here had a hungry day yesterday but still came in with 99 to spare. Tiredness took some pushing throught

Not2bObvious · 29/04/2022 07:16

That's the real rub isn't it, you (us all) overeat because of pain/strain (physical/mental) and it causes more bloody pain! A well timed nudge can do wonders, you can do a whole Davina McCall style This Time next Year plan. I loved that program☺️
Scales had a first Friday flux, had lunch thing yesterday so was over cals, to add to all my other slightly over days. Must stick closer to calories over the weekend, it's been a challenging week

Finally weighed in - 129.8!! I’ve not been in the 120s for years, I’m so happy. Also have been drinking this week and this is the spur I need to stop, because it would be lower if I hadn’t been indulging. I have been getting my steps in and trying my best with food so clearly it’s made some sort of difference. Hoping to get the 0.8 off before my official weigh in on Weds.

Not2bObvious · 29/04/2022 08:11

Aww that's brilliant gen, well done!

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 29/04/2022 10:50

Turns out I'm the same weight as last Friday but if I take my own advice to take my lowest weight this week, I'm down .6
I know myself it wasn't the best week, I did what I could with low mood/low energy so I'm going to be nice to myself. Going to have elevenses with family soon

Wow gen that's magic news StarHalo

I also visited gp yesterday as I still have lower back pain & wanted to check UTI wasn't lingering.

I got hauled over the coals by him, put in waiting room to wait for bp to go down & given pamphlets to read about lowering salt & being more active, there was nothing I wasn't already doing in them. He says I've to walk 4 miles or do 50 lengths of pool or 20 mile cycle daily, I said I'm a single mother who works full time. I'm upset and angry in equal measures. Also got a roasting for the out of hours doctor I used on the bank holiday Angry

Gensola · 29/04/2022 13:08

happier what a dick! Maybe he is offering to babysit daily for free for an hour so you can workout? No, didn’t think so 😡
20 mile cycle would take me ages - I do about ten miles in 30/40 mins on the spin bike!

Not2bObvious · 29/04/2022 14:53

Ahh Jasus, bloody doctors! The neck of him, the absolute neck. And you probably paid €60 for the abuse. I don't know who they think they are with their "advice"
As for BP, I took my own monitor with me to prove my BP was ok, it was only seeing them judgey arses that shot it through the roof! 20 mile cycle indeed.

Ahh thank you Life hugs right back at you too Smile
Happier he isn't a very nice Dr lovely , you don't help ppl to improve their health by treating them like shit Flowers my B/P was sky high when l first had it taken on Weds she sat me down and told me to stop talking and breathe and within a couple of mins it was 124/77 , l was so relieved but it just goes to show how having it taken by someone else raises our B/P Hmm
Gen yay excellent work well done sweetie Flowers
Not nevermind , STS or a loss is excellent at least it isn't a gain!
Am fasting till we have an Indian tonight , am just having a curry and Rice though no extras Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/04/2022 17:09

Christ happier the dr is indeed a Dick

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/04/2022 08:08

Doing ok here , lots of steps today, just waiting for my wrist to feel better before weights

Not2bObvious · 30/04/2022 11:06

Did you do yourself an injury life? Sounds like you're doing good post holiday.
Over cals last night as had the EP over for B&B, feeling quite hungry this morning as well. Close to 600 cals in and barely a step taken, rainy & dull here, not walking weather

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 30/04/2022 12:26

Dunno it’s just sore and hurts in press up positions so skipping pump
yes in doing good -3 lb of bloat this week

Not2bObvious · 30/04/2022 12:30

Good idea to avoid the weights then. That's pretty much all the holiday gone isn't it, great work.
I'm torn on food today, half of me wants to get a takeaway or go out, the other half isn't that arsed at all

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 30/04/2022 14:15

Pretty much give or take a lb. I’m hungry today but been under calories last week. Will tort up deficit

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/04/2022 14:18

Hmm my last 7 day average is 1397 on 1548. What’s that about a 900 deficit on top. Whoo hoo choc of doom here I come

Not2bObvious · 30/04/2022 17:39

No wonder you're hungry, that's low numbers.
I'm getting a takeaway, a nice one, even has cals on the menu. Of course when you add the choc/wine in, I'll be well over. But I did manage a brisk hours walk despite the rain

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 30/04/2022 17:48

Takeaway here too. 19100 steps currently tis all good. Might have choc. Have resisted this week

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 30/04/2022 18:02

Criky Life that is some steps well done lovely Star
Not the walk will help to stave off the cals and your takeaway is brilliant to put the cals on it ! Grin
Turkey salad here tonight so am being an angel Halo Grin

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 30/04/2022 18:03

I nearly forgot enjoy your takeaways both Smile

Not2bObvious · 30/04/2022 18:06

Good woman mrs, I hope it's really nice.
I feel like I've done nothing but eat chocolate this week life, possibly why I'm still holding onto my holiday poundage or as it's been rebranded diet break poundage!

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 30/04/2022 21:12

750 calories of chocolate. 250 more than I
enjoyed tbh
