I am sure the lingual nerve will recover. l looked it up and they say over 90% recover over 8 weeks. l am so hoping this happens for you sweetheart Flowers
In the meantime just try to relax and rest l know it's difficult for you bless you x

Gensola · 21/09/2022 18:39

Thanks mrs I hope you are getting some rest? Are you able to get some me time?
❤️

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 21/09/2022 20:38

Gen I haven't had much down time tbh , it's a case of getting up , going to look after Bob for a few hours , he's very needy bless him , then coming back and seeing to Mum . We've eaten awfully the last month , hospital food , takeaways , ready meals l haven't even been weighed in my hospital /GPS apps which has only just dawned on me ! I so hope you are better very soon sweetheart ❤️

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/09/2022 07:06

You have both had a horrid time, the eating better will come back

i joined a gym and have been doing classes but I’ve got tennis elbow so not doing much food is ok but not tracked and way over calories
no mojo atm

Gensola · 22/09/2022 08:05

I’ve lost 3 pounds but I had gained 7 so still up at least 4. Would like to lose 7-10 pounds once I’m well. I’m missing the gym life but living on carbs.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 25/09/2022 16:57

I think it is just a case of looking after ourselves as best we can atm . I am not scoffing terribly just not what l would normally eat, it's all ready meals and it's just not good nutrition . It is what it is , when things improve l am sure it will be easier for us all to get back to it . In the meantime let's be extra nice to ourselves, no beating ourselves up over the weight Smile
Gen losing 3lbs is excellent well done sweetheart hope you are much better too Flowers
life tennis elbow is really painful l hope it's better very soon lovely Flowers

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/09/2022 21:43

It will get better and so will the nutrients

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/09/2022 05:56

That’s ok Mrs. Pleased I cheered you up.
did nigh on 17k steps and 14summat calories, need more protein

Gensola · 27/09/2022 07:32

I’m at 131 pounds, my pre Greece weight was 128 and my goal is 122-125. My voice is a bit better thanks mrs
I ate so many ice lollies and ice creams during my recovery I’ve given myself a sweet tooth and find my cravings for sugar are really bad. Need to reset that somehow as yesterday I had a decent food day apart from a square of caramel shortbread in the morning, and a pastel de nata after dinner. I don’t have the calorie allowance for treats like that if I want to lose.

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/09/2022 08:43

I’m about 1/2 stone behind you Gen 137 down to 130, I’m starting with 15-1700 calories though
the sweet tooth is s bugger, let me know if you manage to crack it

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 27/09/2022 18:38

Gen & life that is brilliant well done both of you !
Glad your voice is getting there sweetheart 💐

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/09/2022 06:05

😂😂

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/09/2022 18:59

Epoop day food wise, beige tea and apple crumble though breakfast and lunch were ok

just about to do to Zumba and it’s pissing down

Gensola · 29/09/2022 08:07

I feel like I’m making my way back to healthy choices! Still too many treats left in freezer. I’m definitely still healing and not up to full strength so activity levels not at normal yet. Have two training days now to ease back into work but have had to ask for reduction in teaching hours and to be moved to non-student-facing duties for some hours to give my voice a break.

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/09/2022 09:50

Sounds like a good plan. Baby steps Gen.
we’ve got no beige left in the freezer now

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 30/09/2022 15:23

Gen just read on the frugal site your biopsy was clear am so thrilled for you sweetheart Flowers You look after yourself am glad you are doing less ftf work .
life excellent there is no beige stuff in your freezer yay! Smile

Baked potato saved my life , Baked potato showed me the way Grin

I have been busy last few days not got around to posting but have been making slo cooker meals for us all instead of redy mels which is a huge step forward, Beef stew Tuesday, Meatball Bolognaise yesterday, and a Chilli today , all done in the slo cooker with 5% fat meat and lots of tomatoes and onions and veg so very good nutritionally and calorific and filling and it means l can concentrate on other things once it's prepped .
Mum has been transferred to a rehab ward nearer to Bob so hopefully they can get her walking and then home fingers crossed Smile
I am going to see if l can do Baked Potatoes in the slo cooker GrinGrin

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/09/2022 19:59

Fingers d crossed mrs

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 30/09/2022 21:42

Thank you life l am keeping everything crossed 🤗

Gensola · 01/10/2022 08:55

Really hope they transfer your mum mrs, your slow cooker meals sound lovely, I’ve borrowed a slow cooker off a neighbour to see if I can get on with it before buying one. I was thinking it would be good for warming stews and casseroles.
MIL is still in hospital, they xrayed her leg and it’s not healed at all since she was admitted 5 weeks ago so that’s really bad news. They’ve declared she doesn’t have capacity so they’re looking to transfer her to a care home as there’s no way she can cope at home without 24 hour care.
I really need to get onto exercise and healthy eating now, I’m just out of the habit of it.
how’s it going at the gym life?

Happierwithouthim · 01/10/2022 16:25

14st 6lbs this morning, saw I posted at beg of August with a similar weight so I'm not gaining Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/10/2022 08:12
