Hi everyone. New thread as promised. A little later than planned but I'm blaming celebrating too much last night.
I wish I could say it was a good start but I'm feeding my hangover today so looks like I'm going to start tomorrow.
Is everyone feeling motivated?

well done misdee and nikki on your losses.

im doing better the last couple of days but because the week had a bad start, i dont know if i can recover from it, just hoping to maintain, i weigh in on sat.

Having chilli tonight made with lean mince and passata, lots of garlic and chilli peppers, looking forward to lots of that on a baked potato(HEb).

Morgan · 30/01/2008 17:01

Hi everyone - doing ok today - another green day - had poached eggs out for brunch on a small piece of white toast (syns) and fruit and made a big veggie and bean curry for tea with rice.

nikkid21 · 30/01/2008 18:02

Just had lots of gammon. Free on red but I boiled it in fat coke rather than water (a la nigella). Any guesses as to how i should calculate the syns?
Most of the coke gets thrown away at the end of cooking and some evaporates but it's sweeter than it would normally be so the sugar must soak in.

sugarlumps · 30/01/2008 18:49

i've just eaten loads of syns i didnt even know about i was eating prunes 0.5 syns each must have had about 20 or so, so ive gone waaaaaaay over on my syns allowance for today!

that first stone is not looking like im going to get there 2moro!

ah well at least i'll know for next time!
BTW sine fab losses this week girls! keep it going!

Fireflyfairy2 · 30/01/2008 20:34

Password this week is bovril (I think)

Had 1lb off. Would have liked more, but that's the way it goes sometimes...

Just had pizza & garlic bread

mamasara82 · 30/01/2008 22:25

I have stayed the same this week. I have been so good and doing lots of excerise. I only used 20 syns all week.

I am so annoyed I have been the same weight since Aug. Does anyone have any ideas?

kid · 30/01/2008 22:31

I gained 1 lb last week (i might have posted that already?)
I have been sticking to it though this week after my meal out last week. I haven't used any syns today so am starving now. Its too late to eat now though so I am going to head for my bed really soon.

Wouldn't it be great for me to have 30 syns tomorrow, all that chocolate! But I won't do that. I have even run out of curly wurlys, what am I going to do!

zippychick · 30/01/2008 23:22

Sugarlump - no thanks thats a nice thing to say. I do a lot of walking so thats where the legs come from i guess

Fairfly i weigh myself in the chesmit every tuesday and keep the little receipts in my wallet. I have a small collection and its great to keep flicking through them and see the weight go down

Mama - what kind of exercise have u been doing? Ive mrentioned i do a lot of exercise and my shape has changed greatly, but it doesnt show the dramatic difference on the scales so im convinced its that weight muscle thing . Ive said it before, but get a pair of jeans you cant fit and try them on too every weigh day, and write down how they feel each week and you might notice a diff that way too.

Great losses, keep it up.

Diege · 31/01/2008 06:58

Just popping in to say hi . I'm back on the waggon, but everything sort of degenerated after last weekend's binge . Put on a pound, then seem to have lost it this week, so back where I was 2 weeks ago . Not the best, but hey you eat the cr*p, you take the gain .
Congrats MISDEE, wonderful weight loss!
Not long till summer now! That thought spurs me on when I think of summer dresses/t-shirts etc!

mamasara82 · 31/01/2008 08:18

Hey Zippychick I do cycling 4 times a week at an hr a time, aqua aerobics once a week for an hour and a workout DVD once a week for an hour.

I am still the same size as I was in Aug because like you I have been trying to get into a pair of jeans but with no avail.

I am so p*ssed off with it. I think there is something wrong with me. The weight just doesn't want to go.

sugarlumps · 31/01/2008 08:20

well, just weighed myslef and added my weight in on the website! i didnt make my stone mark

infact i only lost 2.5lbs this week. just shows that when i think im losing loads and loads im not!

main aim for this coming week is to lose 3lb so i get below the stone mark!!!!

so being good starts from now! i'm on a 13 hour shift today! which will help things along, i hope! last thur i walked 27000 steps and burnt off over 1000 calories just from running round the pub!!!

Beadmum · 31/01/2008 09:46

sugarlumps - well done on losing 2.5lbs, dont feel disheartened, that is a fab loss. You'll make the stone mark soon. I find it hard to lose more than a pound a week

MamaG · 31/01/2008 12:29

ledodgy, I know what you mean - when I restarted SW after christmas (nbot QUITE the same ) I was very relieved to be eating the food again, felt much better.

Lurcherlass- have you got to the 2 stone mark? I got there last night with a 3lb loss 2stone, 2.5lbs off WOO HOO!

well done to everybody who lost this week

skankywitch · 31/01/2008 14:14

Mmmmmmmmm I'm so stuffed had sw chips mushy peas and 2 quorn basil and tomato sausages for lunch.
This is my kind of diet.

Also tried alpen light cereal bars today chocolate and orange ones. They are yummy and you can have 2 for a HEB.

MamaG · 31/01/2008 14:15

yes, i really like the alpen light bars

skankywitch · 31/01/2008 14:30

MamaG have you tried any of the other flavours?

Morrisons are doing 2 boxes for £2 at the moment if anyone what's to give then a go.

MamaG · 31/01/2008 14:31

yes, the apple & sultana and the summer fruits ones. I think they're great tbh, me and mate munch them at work gleefully

skankywitch · 31/01/2008 14:36

I love that you can have 2 for a heb instead of one hifi bar.
I will give the apple and sultana ones a try tomorrow. Can't imagine anything can be as yummy as the choc orange.

Ledodgy · 31/01/2008 14:57

I am also full I had a Fry up for lunch consisting of quorn cumberland sausages, baked beans, fried mushrooms, fried plum tomatoes and a fried egg all fried in fry light of course.

I want to make the pasta cabonara tonight you know the one with egg in it but have just realised my bf who was giving me the recipe isn't back from work until 5.30pm which will be too late. I could ring her in work but don't think her boss will appreciate it! Does anyone here have the recipe please?

Sparkler · 31/01/2008 17:52

I'm going to weigh in tonight.

FFF - Yes I am still a gym bunny but haven't been able to get there much over the past couple of weeks. DH has been out most nights and I've been working loads in the day. Hope to get there a few hours over the weekend though.

OP posts:
Fireflyfairy2 · 31/01/2008 18:22

Glad to hear it I think a few hours to yourself helps to keep you sane

Every other time when I had pressure piled on by uni I hit the biccie barrel, or the crisp cupboard, or or or just whatever I could get my hands on
Today I have been shat on from a great height with regards to uni work, course work, essays, articles & dissertations all due in around the same time.. I am screwed if I don't get it all done And normally tonight I would have pigged out through sher stress... not this time.. I have to stick to this plan & lose the weight for June....

Hiya Ledodgy WB
