Kew - hope you feel better soon.

Littlefish - gosh, that 6st is a bit .

JackieNo · 03/01/2008 18:08

Well, I weighed, and I seem to have lost a pound. No idea how. Haven't run, have been eating and snacking too much. But it's a nice surprise.

MrsJohnCusack · 03/01/2008 18:17

that ligherlife silhouette thingy is gruesome. I can't bear it.

hope you get better soon Kewc

I'm going to have to be a restarter and start getting my head around the no crap thing. Am still not getting any full nights sleep though and so still finding it very hard to function (and am really, really starving all the time). DH is off for 2 weeks over Christmas/New Year so it's still very much the holiday period here. MOnday is when it will all come crashing down back to reality again.

have been vaguely looking at SureSlim and wondering whether it's worth paying for. it's not like LIghterlife because you do eat proper food. you get a personal consultant or something. Am thinking it might be time to just throw some money at the problem. Dunno

JackieNo · 03/01/2008 19:44

I've never heard of SureSlim - is it a NZ thing?

JackieNo · 03/01/2008 19:48

Ooh - not cheap, but you're right, maybe it would give you just the boost you need, having the one-to-one stuff. Maybe do a search on here to see if anyone's used them?

JackieNo · 03/01/2008 19:52

Here, a bit equivocal about it.

Dottydot · 03/01/2008 22:04

I'll weigh myself tomorrow - do we still post weights to the BigMoFos e-mail address? Haven't weighed myself in a couple of weeks - I've been putting on between 1 - 2lb a week for the past couple of months But it's all change now - hurrah for feeling slightly ill all the time

JackieNo · 03/01/2008 22:08

Yes - still the same email address, dottydot.

MightyMoosh, the email is in the initial explanation that TigerFeet posted the other day.

Littlefish · 04/01/2008 09:02

I've just e-mailed.

I'm pleasantly surprised to have only put on a pound! Onwards and upwards (or downwards actually).

againagainTigerFeet · 04/01/2008 09:37

I weighed myself yesterday and was a bit

Have emailed the gruesome results WWB

Suffice to say, in 2007 I lost about a stone and a half and then put nearly two stone back on.

It will be different this year [determined]

MrsJohnCusack · 04/01/2008 09:44

thank you Jackie
I really resent paying to compensate for my own lack of self control
but I fear that is what it has come to

I shouldn't think I'll do it though. just need to get hold of myself, but it is SO HARD to do when I am so bloody knackered all the time because I never get a full night's sleep

I mean I had 5 hours unbroken last night and for me that's a very GOOD night. if you'd told me I'd say that before I had children I'd have laughed - I considered it torture having to get up and go to work on anything less than about 7 hours sleep.

how are your nights at the moment Tiger?

againagainTigerFeet · 04/01/2008 09:55

Hit and miss MrsJC - we have had an awful week what with the excitement of Christmas and all the visitors (assorted GP's here to look after her while dh & had to work); yesterday my Mum & sister went home and then last night she slept through. We seem to be getting roughly one unbroken night a week which is a vast improvement on no unbroken nights

How do you feel when you get a bit of a stretch of sleep? I didn't wake up once last night and I feel more knackered than ever today

MrsJohnCusack · 04/01/2008 10:08

oh god yes
I feel much worse after one good stretch of sleep. It needs to be a few nights in a row. ONe night is no good - I feel ropey as hell today!

sorry it's not better for you either

Hi all did email when I saw the post, put starting weight. Not sure how to keep up weighing myself, have no scales where I work (and live) but I'll cope. email was wed so didnt think you would want another on thur to say the same thing?

WigWamBam · 04/01/2008 19:14

No, one email is perfectly fine

Will probably post the weights tomorrow now; it will be during the afternoon as I'm off to see the gynae in the morning.

OP posts:
MightyMoosh · 04/01/2008 19:16

Oh that sound fun. Good way to fill a morning.

WigWamBam · 04/01/2008 19:19

Oh, absolutely

Hopefully he won't do any of the things he did to me last time I went

OP posts:
JackieNo · 04/01/2008 19:22

Good luck for tomorrow, WWB.

MightyMoosh · 04/01/2008 19:23

yeep theres something about the crinkly paper ont the bed that gets me.

WigWamBam · 04/01/2008 20:00

I have a feeling he's going to try and get me to have a Mirena coil fitted - without ever actually getting to the root of the problem. I really don't feel all that happy about the idea!

Have been taking the Norethisterone for three months and it seems to have settled down a bit, but of course I don't know how I would be doing without the tablets to keep the old hormones in check.

OP posts:
MightyMoosh · 04/01/2008 20:19

Oh bloody norethisterone! been on them for 2 years+ so teeny bleed every day (never stops) major migraine over axmas, finally hospital on 29th (birthday) she says stop taking them, and I have and now all bleeding stopped. apparently was a hormonal buildup over the years, someone should have checked etc. good luck and warm hands wished to you WWB, no idea about coil never needed to find out about contraception apart from disasterous month on pill, so allergic thought I was dying.

Oh see now Im a hijaker, why does this always happen to me?

againagainTigerFeet · 04/01/2008 20:19

Good luck tomorrow WWB

Will swap you if you like - I am taking dd to a birthday party - 20 screaming 3 year olds at a Wacky Warehouse - utter joy

JackieNo · 04/01/2008 20:24

Well pity me then, you lot too, I've got to watch DD play football (it's tipping down with rain out there atm), then finish organising DS's birthday (Sunday - 17 screaming 3 and 4 year olds at a soft play thing). Such fun. Party bags are packed. Ridiculous amounts of food have been purchased (though only half of it will actually be consumed, the rest will be eaten by the parents or thrown away uneaten).

WigWamBam · 04/01/2008 20:27

No, no - not a hijacker at all, Moosh!

I started on the Norethisterone because I'd had a period that dragged on and on and on for about two months and was showing no sign of stopping or getting any lighter. The tablets stop the bleeding pretty much but I'm not sure how long they will let me stay on them for. I don't get on with them anyway; they turn me into Mrs Hormonal She-Devil Troll Bitch from Hell.

Not sure who's got the worst deal there, Tiger ... Wacky Warehouses are the devil's work, that's for sure
