Lol! I do rarely swear, but sometimes it's just needed! Grin No need to worry about my delicate ears, I'm a long term South Park fan.
I know what you mean about the melon. No one is kidding me that I'd desire that over ice cream/cake/chocolate...
I hope you manage to get back to how you want to eat. I'm sending you loads of good vibes ~~~~~

Aria999 · 15/07/2021 22:07

Well I seem to be 🤞 maintaining at 9st 8 which is 1lb above my goal weight.

I don't crave melon but I have basically stopped craving sugar. There are about 12 bars of Lindt chocolate that have been sitting untouched in the cupboard for about a month now. I used to have it every evening.

73kittycat73 · 16/07/2021 11:33

I so admire people that say they stopped craving sugar, I never have! I think I'm made of sugar. Confused
Well done on your weight though, only one pound above goal weight must be so amazing, and tantalizing! Star
How is everyone today? It seems sunny outside so am going to do some bits in the garden later, mainly in marigolds. I don't know what the birds do in their feeding station but I know they leave one hell of a mess! So I shall be elbow deep in soapy water later on cleaning it all.

66babe · 16/07/2021 21:51

I wish chocolate could stay in my cupboard for a week never mind a month @Aria999
Fab news with scales ! 🎉

Do you enjoy gardening Kitty ? I do it but I hate it 🤣

No, I don't enjoy gardening either. It's never ending! I'd love to be able to grow my own veg one day though. Can't where I currently live as the dirt is full of stones. I could try raised beds but then I'd have to order in the wood, have someone cut it and build it, and order in the compost. Too much money and hassle! (My God I sound lazy there! Grin )
How is your day going?
How are you tynks, you've gone quiet?

73kittycat73 · 17/07/2021 20:07

Just seen your update, that's so cool! Does your new kitty have a name? How old is she? I love cats. Am currently pet-less atm though. I hope everything goes really well for you and you get to bring your little fiend home on Wednesday. Smile

66babe · 17/07/2021 21:12

I am thinking of changing the name as it's only the name she's had for 2 weeks in the RSPCA
Looking for inspiration , she's 5 and been very well looked after , her owner has passed away

I've been catless for 12 months now so I think it's time
Been and bought lots of things for her today , have very long clinic days mon and tues so plan to bring her home Wednesday so I can stay and wfh the rest of the week to help her settle in
Anyone have ideas for a name 🤔
Yes please come back @MX55 and all the others

73kittycat73 · 18/07/2021 12:09

Name wise, I can only think of Pepper. Or Luna? What's her personality like? I usually go with that for naming pets. It must be exciting for Wednesday. Grin
I pigged out again last night. I felt instantly really bad and upset with myself. I really regretted it. Will it be enough to stop me again? I really, really doubt it. Sad Weigh in day tomorrow, we'll see how much I've gained.

66babe · 18/07/2021 17:34

Oh don't beat yourself up Kitty
We've all done it , do your weigh in and you might be surprised, if it's not great see it as a kick up the bum
If it's not too bad then see it as a reminder how well you've done and how close you are to your end goal .. keep moving on

Hard to say personality wise as I've not got her yet , may have to delay the renaming ceremony for a week or so and just call her cat 🤨

Thanks for the advice. Smile I've decided to go back to 16:8. If I start drinking plain water at 7pm, I know I can't eat again till 11am the next day. (That's the theory anyway! ). I was craving like mad again this morning, really consumed. Then I thought something and my thinking changed and I wasn't craving anymore. Still not, but can't recall what it was I thought! (I think that was as clear as mud wasn't it?!)

66babe · 18/07/2021 21:28

I'd like to think whatever that was I could remember and then forget it too
It may stop me doing the same

Lol. Grin Well, the chocolate is going into my mums again tonight. Yes I pigged again last night. Weighed this morning. In a week I've put on...5lb! Blush I'm now 11st 8.2lbs. I don't know why but I'm finding it quite funny atm. I really don't know why! Nose back to the grindstone from today onwards. Not going to yoga tonight though, too hot!

66babe · 19/07/2021 17:21

Definitely too hot for yoga .. I can hardly move
Sorry about the 5 lbs .. so bloody annoying but you know you can do this
I'd still love to be your weight rather than my one more biscuit I'll be 13 stone

Day one of re-starting, am I at goal now?!!! Lol. Why is it so easy to put weight on, but takes so long to lose?!

66babe · 19/07/2021 20:23

Kitty if I knew that I'd be bloody rich lol

73kittycat73 · 20/07/2021 12:00

Day 1 of 16:8 and calorie counting done. I'm usually fine not eating till 11am but today I was HUNGRY. I'm sure I'll get back to into the swing of things soon.
How are you coping in the heat? I stayed in the shade all week but still got badly burnt shoulders. I did buy some sunblock a while ago but I don't know where I've put it. I hate using the stuff too, makes you all sticky, yuk.

ChinnyMcChinnerson · 20/07/2021 14:28

Ah she looks adorable! Dd says Ruby, Daisy or Mabel! I say Lady Tinkerton!

66babe · 20/07/2021 21:03

Oh I do like Daisy ❤️❤️❤️ please tell DD thank you so much !
I will collect her tomorrow
The heat is killing me and now I have chub rub to content with

ChinnyMcChinnerson · 20/07/2021 21:51

I wore a maxi dress without leggings underneath today because it was just too hot, and now I'm sat awkwardly on the sofa coz it hurts! (Was meeting new teacher so had to try to look a bit better than I have been lately)

Ah Daisy the cat goes really well!! Good luck for rehome day - post a pic if she's settled enough!

Mines useless at won't cuddle me at all, he comes home for food and that's it. It's so rude!

Aria999 · 21/07/2021 09:58

@73kittycat73 well if you believe Andrew jenkinson it's because your body has a firm (if misguided) idea of the weight it wants to be and is fighting you every step of the way. You eat less, it reduces metabolism making you tired and cold, to compensate. Then when more food is available it piles on the pounds because it thinks you're living in a scarce food environment.

I am officially off the wagon at the moment. We have come to the uk to see family. The bread is so nice here I'm just eating it. Fortunately there are no scales.

Aria999 · 21/07/2021 09:59

Re chub rub, I love my body glide stick!

66babe · 21/07/2021 10:01

@Aria999 you can't beat a nice bread of bread with real butter ! 😤 if you have no decent bread where you live can I come and live there please

OP posts:
Aria999 · 21/07/2021 10:04

@66babe it's America and their bread is mostly not really bread, it's some variant on stale cotton wool with sugar in.

You can get ok sourdough and baguettes but normally not super fresh and I can't get too excited about it.

They have never heard of the in store bakery in supermarkets!

73kittycat73 · 21/07/2021 20:09

Thank you for that explanation Aria999. Smile Is that the same author of the 'Why We Eat Too Much' book? I keep seeing it recommended on these boards. Might have a look into it.
Hope the cub rub feels better 66babe. How's Daisy settling in?
