Well it is for me as that was the day I finally drew the line
Mind you I've drawn the line that many times I've had to buy a sharpener
You'd be welcome to join me anyone, I just need catch up with my wee sis twin @Tynks

@66babe I have to admit I do feel better for ditching the chocolate and Diet Coke and general copious amounts of sugar.

There was a time where I could eat endless quantities of sugar and feel fine but the last six months or so I've had loads of sugar headaches plus feeling sick in the morning after a big night on the chocolate. It's like a hangover without the alcohol.

I've felt really well for a few days.

66babe · 06/07/2021 18:11

That's so good to hear ... you are right of course
If I can continue like this all week I will feel so much better too
Wish we could bottle this motivation
I'd be rich 🤑

@66babe yes I feel like it could all fall out of bed within five minutes for me. I've been keeping really busy and doing all the spring cleaning type jobs. Got loads to take to the charity shops.

It's nice waking up in the morning and my first thought not being oh fuck, I ate so much chocolate last night. Makes me feel much happier that I'm not constantly mentally beating myself up for being a greedy twat.

Tynks · 06/07/2021 18:37

I mean, I'm still a twat, but just not so greedy 😁

66babe · 06/07/2021 18:39

Do not fall out of bed
We deserve this you know
All of us

I've been in a general fuzz of feeling crap for so long that I've forgot how to be kind or look after myself

How's the Fitbit steps ? I've only got to about 6000 again

OP posts:
66babe · 06/07/2021 18:40

Don't say that @Tynks
Well ... if you must
You're my kind of twat

@66babe my new Fitbit strap came last night. I wore it today and have done 8763 steps. All of them doing the cleaning. I'm knackered.

I had forgotten that you get text and call notifications on a Fitbit. It's handy but annoying in equal measure.

66babe · 06/07/2021 18:46

I love that because when my phone is on silent in my bag somewhere
.. I can see who I want to ignore

Tynks · 06/07/2021 18:50

How many steps today @66babe ?

66babe · 06/07/2021 18:52

5907 .. not enough really but worked all day and raining now so no way will I want to go out for any more

OP posts:
Tynks · 06/07/2021 18:55

@66babe I've been home all day. Usually I would be lucky to clock up 3000 but crazy lady cleaning has given me a good amount of steps.

66babe · 06/07/2021 19:05

I'm ok with it as the main thing is that I did not go to the coop and buy crap
I had a jacket spud with cheese and beans .. nice blob of butter in it but as I've said .. I'm not on a diet
In my previous life I'd have had that and then said .. oh I shouldn't have had that butter I've ruined it now fuck it I'm off to buy chocolate and ice cream
So even if my tea was 500 cals it's still less than I would have had so I'm winning

Bugger, I wrote out a reply then lost it...Sad I was talking to Tynks about defrosting freezers. Riveting, I bet you're all dying to know what I said. Grin
66babe you are doing so well with your new way of thinking! Star

Tynks · 06/07/2021 19:28

@73kittycat73 let's talk defrosting freezers Grin

Tynks · 06/07/2021 19:30

@66babe I had jacket spud with cheese too. I don't like beans with cheese 🤮

66babe · 06/07/2021 19:34

I actually also need to defrost my freezer ... how can I cope with such a rock and roll lifestyle ? 🤣🎉🤣

If I was a domestic goddess I would defrost the freezer and then do some cooking and batch freezing which would really help this Billy no mates even the kids have left me old bag

Tynks Grin I was saying how my freezer needs to defrost. My kitchen and front room are in one and last time I defrosted the freezer all the water overnight soaked into the carpet. It made it look really bad. Have a new carpet now and am not going to risk this one! I've tried those defrosting sprays but they are useless.
You and me both 66babe. Grin

66babe · 06/07/2021 20:16

Last time I did it @73kittycat73 I put a pan of really hot water in the empty freezer and just soaked up the water regularly , swapping the pan a couple of times for hot water again and again .. keep a towel underneath to save your new carpet and maybe only do it in the Am when you are around all day ?
I'm going to do mine the weekend now , you've got me in the mood Kitty lol

OP posts:
Tynks · 06/07/2021 20:33

@73kittycat73 I just scrape away as much of the ice as I can then just defrost using the hairdryer, towels on the floor and keep wringing then out. Those defrost sprays are useless.

DISCLAIMER keep electric away from water 🤣

66babe · 06/07/2021 20:42

Oooooooooooo @Tynks how can you stand that scraping noise
My bum cheeks are clenching just thinking about it !

OP posts:
73kittycat73 · 06/07/2021 20:44

Thank you both. It was so full of frost/ice that it took about 2 days to defrost. Blush It's not so bad this time but could do with being done.

Tynks · 06/07/2021 20:51

@66babe I can cope with the scraping noise. I can't cope with the sound of knives being sharpened.

muddledmidget · 07/07/2021 07:58

Sorry, missed all the chatter yesterday, and can't catch back up so I'm going to just hop back in here!

Hope everyone has had a good couple of days and aren't wearing themselves out doing chores (I honestly don't think I've ever defrosted a freezer 🤔)

Food is going ok, just hope I can keep it up at the weekend so I can actually lose a decent amount. Have been finding salads quite filling, if I add enough feta and olive oil to it, not sure if I'm on the right track though!
